The one thing I have noticed about you Jon, is that you seem to truly enjoy what you're doing. I have seen many different videos from other fishermen, but it's you that really seems to shine with your positive attitude about the sport. Every time you hook a fish, you smile with great joy. I really appreciate everything you have done to promote this wonderful sport.
    Thank you.

    Great!
I like your videos and fly-fishing shows.
The more you are particular, selective, personal, not -global, “Itchen base”, the more I like it!
Thank you for sharing great work.

As always, very well done. Educational and entertaining. I have enjoyed fishing your flies and have seen some success. I am still envious of the waters that you fish. Richard.

Hi, terrific little film, just dipping the flies after a 17 yr lay-off so this kind off session is very enjoyable and inspiring👏🏻

Hi Jon/ Nellienice to see you both back on the riverbank. Its seems an age since you last appeared early in the season by the Eden. Its been a late start for most of us this year and so its really good to see the Mayfly on the water. Looking forward to the E-zine

Great film Jon and Nellie, as always. That soft hackle fly is very effective as I found out at the weekend

This is lovely. I'm a recent convert to fly fishing - been a coarse angler for 50 years - and am watching everything I can find to learn. A suggestion which may be helpful. Rather than use forceps on deeply hooked fish, try the Slamo disgorger. It's very effective and removes the hook without risking injury to the fish almost every time. Unlike a conventional disgorger, the hook doesn't have to pass through a narrow tube, so you won't wreck your fly. All the best.

what is the benefit of using a triple surgeon's knot and tying your dry fly on to a tag, as opposed to suspending your nymph from the bend of the dry fly hook itself? information would be greatly appreciated

The former is a more secure option if barbless hooks are being used. I think this guy uses barbless - or at least does in the other videos I have seen.

I use a knotted leader/tippet on the end of a furled leader. A dropper line can be tied on above the last leader knot with a clinch knot, which is easily removed. No surgeon's knot.

Killed all fish by picking them up with one hand .. Will swim away stromgly, and within 2 - 3 days die because nervous system dsmaged by gravity.
