I love how you and your husband keep focus on marriage.
Puttting it out for all of us fan's to see, I think for myself and that the youth that follows either of you... through the genres of entertainment that you both give.
Will be of good encouragement to them when they marry .
Its make me realize what it takes .
To what it is to realIy keep the vow till the end.

May I suggest that you attend a Catholic or Christian Marriage Retreat? It is a whole different perspective on your marriage. Sometimes you need to focus on the spiritual aspect of your marriage. It's just about your marital relationship with God.

Blackwood 5225, yes, I have heard some good things about Christian marriage counseling, retreats...bc with a Christian based instead of "meditation" like the world is taught to empty your mind, we are taught differently. Meditating on The Word of God. Filling your mind with His thoughts and His ways. Emptying your mind makes room for the enemy to fill it with his garbage.
Although I would like to say that it seems as if they learned some things about each other. I just personally wouldn't want to attend something of that nature without it being led by born again Christians that have the same values.

This was one of your best, in my opinion. These topics are difficult to discuss and it's important to share. I've found that its so much easier to cut loose and laugh than to dig deep and invest and grow together. Thank both of you for being open and transparent about your marriage retreat.

I felt like you were learning about each other at the same time you were telling about the experience at the retreat.. The way you looked at each other while telling your part of the experience showed a great connection between you. At least it was my impression.

I appreciate your transparency, and you wanting to share. I’m not married yet, but I am always observing and listening to married couples, so I can learn what may or may not work for my relationship. I had to do that staring into a stranger’s eyes activity in an acting class. It was SO intense! As we looked at each other, the instructor was guiding us through their lives from when they were born. We had to try and see them in those different stages. It was a trip. I was able to share what I saw in this man, and he couldn’t believe what I said because it was very accurate. The first two minutes were awkward, but we really connected after that. Great activity. People in general, need to connect more. We have lost that. Anyway, thanks again for sharing your life and your experiences. ❤️

The experiences & growth you two had because of this retreat is AWESOME and very needed in marriagge (esp. for Christians). I want to be equipped with the same tools but usually the desire to do anything about it happens when situations get tough or a video like this gets posted. So, MUCH love and gratitude for your podcast, @NATRT, and the many others I get to hear phenomenal ways to practically implement changes to experience that same growth ... YT therapy 🙌🏽👏🏽

Great video. Thanks for sharing. I am with you Anjelah. Grew up the same way and even after marriage, you're trying to find that part of you. I always say counseling works but having a friend you trust is good just because like Manwell said, you learn you are not alone. Also your real homie will not say anything to disparage or discourage your marriage. My 1 friend and I find we can sometimes help one another with suggestions in areas where the other may not be as strong.

Can I ask why Manuel doesn’t wear a wedding band? I am just curious as I am more sensitive to it due to a bad first marriage & him taking his off. Where as my current husband wants one on always & I love it...makes me feel like he’s proud & wants all to know he’s taken.

Awesome! My husband and I have been married 27 years and we have a daughter who is married and a son who is 19 and still at home right now but is looking to leave soon. I am finishing my degree and we find ourselves in new territory as a married couple with life changes and personal changes in both of us. Thank you for sharing about this retreat it sounds like it was a great way to reconnect as a couple and to reassess your relationship with your spouse and with who you are. Sometimes it is easy to get stuck in the rut of work and caring for others that you forget to work on the most important relationship, your spouse. I love that you both are keeping that a priority in your marriage. Love that you are transparent about the things in marriage that can sometimes trip you up if you don't confront them head on.

I'd like to go with my wife to one of these marriage retreats (actually, I'd prefer to go to a marriage ADVANCE). But, alas my wife is not interested. And our marriage definitely needs help. How do I motivate her to go with me? (Or maybe I could go alone? Or I could rent a wife just for the retreat? ) Seriously, we need help.

I went through a marriage retreat. It helped convince me to get divorced. Women don't want to hear a mans view. They just want to push their view. The same thing happened in couples counseling. My ex was not getting validated by the counselor so therefor the counselor was wrong. If you don't have kids men, RUN.

Unless the Lord builds the house, we labor in vain, so often people go to church, seek outside help from those not in the church, usually because those in the church do not know the word of God. So in the word, we see the one who created marriage has provided how to live in a marriage, and by seeking answers from those outside the word of God usually brings in confusion to what a true marriage should be, and if you do get any good advice from someone who may say that they do not follow God, any good info that they may provide came from those who do follow God, as I have never come across good info that did not originate from the teachings of God as of yet, as it is written, seek you first the kingdom of God, and all these other things shall be added to you, and also, husbands love your wife as Christ loved the church, and gave Himself for it, let us also remember, blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, as for whatever was being alluded to in regards to sex, about guilt or shame is only correct if the word says of such, but stay away from anyone who speaks contrary to the word, for it is written, there is a way which seems right to man, but it's end is the way of death, thank you for sharing, but when I hear of someone telling men to go into a room and yell your feelings, is not what I know of God and His teachings, but as men we do talk with each other, confess our sins to one another, pray over each other, and ask for help when needed, and the older should help guide the younger, and I am aware that not all churches do this, and it usually those that do not follow Gods word, and are into more topical teaching, than line by line teaching, and the reason this post is so long, is that too many people have a wrong view of what a real marriage according to the word should be like, or they have been taught what a relationship is like according to what man says, and not how God has shown us
