I was told by a wise man many years ago that the root cause of every divorce was selfishness. After 35 years of marriage I can absolutely say he was totally right! I love my man and we both do our best to think of each other first and it has deeply blessed our marriage ❤
Don't exposed your life too much. God forbid you get divorce.
I am so glad to see such a great marriage that you two have.
Not that I've been married long (almost 3 years), but my best advice is believing that we are servants (not pushovers though lol) and being as close to God as possible. The biggest one for me was realizing that marriage's purpose is to honor and glorify God, just like life. I knew that for my life, but not for marriage for some reason. When I understood that, a lot of things made much more sense. I'm also super grateful to have such a patient husband, so it does show God's undeserving love to you tangibly.
19 years today. Keep going it just gets better.
Hey guys....i love da way u keep da LORD in ur marriage! He's da true source of keeping ur lives on marital track! Great advice guys! God bless ur marriage n ur families 2 boot!
Thank you!
@@AnjelahJohnson ur welcome! Thank u 4 replying back......have a fantastic rest of ur day!
Again, thank you for sharing from your heart. Couples need to understand it's no longer (about) me but WE.
I just recently got married and everything you are saying about perspective is so true! I grew up a child of divorce and I was open to my now husband about some of the trauma I experienced and how much I wanted to ensure we created a life for ourselves where we had open communication, unending support and love for one another. I can honestly say that because we both have been open with each other, we have been able to temper our expectations and be equally yoked in much of how we are establishing our lives together. We have faced some challenges and have been able to deal with those head on. Thank you for your candor in this video!!! May your marriage and life together continue to be blessed!
Love that you both are transparent!! 💕
FANTASTIC video!!!!! I love the way that you let everyone know that marriage isn't "Golden" every minute 24/7, 365 and that the both of you let others know that counseling has helped, too many people look at it as a sign of weakness. Changing perspective is Excellent advice!!!! I always look forward to your next video on anyone of your series. May the both of you be BLESSED in your marriage, in life and everything that you do!!!!!!
Thank you!
Max's Positive World yes, agree. Amen.

You guys are great and are on a great path. Wishing you lots of years of happiness and continued success!!! ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I believe that is our #1 issue-seeing each other's perspective. I am trying to not get all up in my feelings about things and praying he sees my side as well. Thank you for this video!!
Love! Love! Love! Match made in heaven...that's what you 2 are! Marriage goals indeed! love you, pray for you and cheering you all the way!
Y’all are so great. Thanks for being real. Y’all are so inspiring. 💕🙌🏻💕
Put in the work in the marriage with love, and love will prevail. Great video!
June 21, 2019 my husband and I celebrated our 11th anniversary. I have to say this past year (June 2018-June 2019) has been the toughest by far. Last June my husband interviewed for a position that, if he got it, would be a promotion that would move us 400 miles from friends and family. Well, he got the job, and we had 2 weeks to get him ready to come up here. Unfortunately, my 2 sons and I stayed behind. I had to get our house ready to be sold and pack everything up. I referred to myself as a married-single mom. I worked a full time job an hour away, took care of my 2 boys, and did everything I needed to do. I felt like I was never going to get up here! I had to keep reminding myself, God's time not my time! That has become my motto over the last year! After 4 months, our house sold and our family unit was reunited!
Wow..I've never thought of it that way! All about perspective. Awesome advice!
Awesome response from both of you guys! I pray for blessings to both of you in your marriage. Love you Anjelah !

Years ago my kids sent me your video of qui qui said that was how they would describe me to people, idk if that was good or bad but I think it’s funny lol. I follow you and how I wish I had what you have. You’re a blessing to us. I think you were married in a past life. He’s so sweet. Just remember manwell everything she says is right even when she wrong 😉 consideration, respect and comedy is the key. Laughter is the best medicine.
Love you guys ... AJ see you in Dallas ....yay
Lovely, smart and sensitive couple. 👍
Just subscribed I love yall.
Completely agee! My boyfriend and I have been together 11 years this September. We long distanced for 4 years before moving in together, we have been living together for almost seven years. It's a long story but we don't spend most weekends together. At first I hated it and wanted a "normal" relationship. But after relationship counseling, came to realize that I was just comparing myself to other people in relationships that I have known in the past and have to just do what works best for us. Now when he is with me on the weekends I hate it because I'm just not used to it :)
Informative.
Well said...practice, practice, practice
Fun marriage advise, even for elders
Um how am I just finding out you have a channel!? I know what I'll be binge watching this weekend 🙌🏻

I was just thinking that!

You two are such an awesome couple.
What a cute couple! Continue to keep God in the center of your marriage, and be a godly example to your generation.
