Great to you're using small bikes for doing adventure trips. I watch shows from a guy in your area aswell and since I've started watching his and your shows I've fallen in love with the Karoo. I always thought of it as a dry and not so cool place but it's truly beautiful. Me and my wife are planning a trip to the Karoo. Has to see it for myself tho. Great show.
Hi hope you guys are doing well! Did you know they've now put out a twin 300cc. Will hit the European market soon. Can't wait so I can swop mine in for the 300. No more struggling with the 120km speed limit. Can't wait!
Hey long time , yes i have heard of the 300 release but was disappointed. Wife and i are upgrading to versus 650 this month but i have had issues with my water cooled pc but should be up and running hopefully at the end of the month .We will be keeping the sym s as its our go to bike. Their was a guy and his wife from cape town that did a trip in December to Upington on the sym
Good day. I enjoy watching your rides. I am looking at buying an affordable small cc "adventure bike". I am torn between the Sym NHT 200 and the BigBoy TSR 250 ? Perhaps possible to advise ?
Hello Tinus , i think the TSR 250 is a very capble bike but it leans more to a scrambler than a adventure bike. The Sym NHT 200 also has 6 gears which comes in handy on the national roads and i have seen both bikes next to each other. The Sym has a more complete look and will be more comfortable ,the seat height on the TSR could also be a issue but let me know what you decide
@@symadventures2914 Hi there. Can you tell me which sprockets you upgraded to please? I've recently purchased myself an NH-T200 and this channel has been my inspiration.
Hi, Merry Christmas and hope you are enjoying the season! From your experience with these bikes would you say it would be OK to drive a 800km journey with them? Are they capable of handling that? I want to drive to Upington from Stellenbosch but not sure if I can do it on the bike. I want to do it at least once there and back. Obviously with regular stops. Do you think it's doable?
Hello ,Merry Christmas to you and your family , with regard to your question yes it is very possible but one would have to break the journey into two parts 400 km a go .Saying that i would recommend driving with someone or another motorcycle and having coms between the two because unfortunately their are cars out there that have little regard for motorcyclist. If you do the trip keep us posted and send us pics to post on my face book
Hello! How far are these trips you guys do? Is it wise to do 1000km on my nht200? I might have to do regular stops but isn't it too much strain on a bike like this?
Hi did you sort out your problem last we spoke. Longest trip we have ridden was 7 hours . We do take breaks of between five and fifteen minutes and have never had a problem till now. Only problem i have with this motorcycle is freeway speed
Same here freeway speed is a problem. They sorted out the problem yes. Was an electric issue. 7 hours is probably like 300-500km. I think it's best just to ship it. The journey will be too exhausting considering I can only dive about 90-100km/h for a comfortable drive. Best to just hop on a bakkie till I get to Upington. I'm in Stellenbosch and I want to visit my family that side. I love riding too much to leave my bike behind lol. I want crash bars and top box brackets but they are way too expensive for me. Don't you know any aftermarket deals that I can look into please. I will feel a lot more comfortable with crash bars on my bike. Thanks!
i decided that the Honda 300cc Rally bike is what I want, but when I look at the price, no way, so I now want a Sym NHT200 as it is very close to the Honda.

Great video. Love the show. How good is the Sym 200?
Its a very good stater bike ,parts are flimsy so when u drop the bike things break easily . That said it is able to go anywhere and that what counts.
That's good. I can say the same about mine tho but the sym looks nice tho.
What was your average cruising speed on the open road? The few times I could peep at your speedo it seemed around 50 kph. Or did my eyes fail me?
Hi depends on the terrain we drive ,but we recently put in new chain and sprockets since then on average 115 to 125 with ease
