Thank you for this! I saved this one for when I have the money to get new tires for my Element, hoping that is soon. I have Toyos All Terrain on my CRV and I love them. I live off a dirt road in the foothills and they are a popular tire in the area including in the the mountain towns that I live near.
Thanks for this useful guide for all of us Element owners out here! Crisp, clear video...
You're very welcome!
Kick ass video…Thanks for demystifying a lot of lift and tire info, Stephen
No problem my dude! Thanks for watching
Wowoowowowo thanks am learning from you everything about my Honda element
Very welcome!~
Perfect video. I used THIS video to pick out my new tires. I went with the Geolanders and they look amazing
That’s amazing I’m glad you found it informative enjoy!
Lots of great information in these comments! Thank you folks, great video Stephen. I was recently handed down a 2010 Element from my wife. No more borrowing for my hunting and outdoor adventures! Looking forward to checking out more of your videos. #subscribed
Thanks for the sub my dude! Also congrats on the element what a score 👍
Yeah I use the 225 70 16 on mines. It doesn't give the best gas mileage although it's 99% hwy mileage, but works for me.
I’m running 225/76/16 BFG KO2’s
2” lift and 1” spacers
Thank you!
My pleasure
I run 235/70/16 Toyo open at with 3inch front lift, 5 inch rear
Thanks, Stephen! I just ordered my set of 4 Michelin Defender LTX M/S 215/70r16 for my 2006 Honda Element EX-P based on your recommendation and others at Honda Element Lovers and on Reddit. Belle Tire has a special for 20% off online only (611266) purchases right now plus a $60 rebate from Michelin if you buy 4 tires. I'm converting it into a camper and looking to put about 7,000 miles on her over the next 3 months so the tires needs to be right and get good mpg. I got the installation package that includes lifetime balance, rotation, and flat repairs and all in it's $878 before the $60 rebate. Pretty good deal IMHO!
Solid deal congratulations and hope you enjoy your road trip! Thanks for sharing with everyone.
Any recommendations for 04 ex fwd good winter tire? I get my element this Saturday.
I'm running Bf Goodrich K2s ATs on my Element with the stock wheels which I painted black. Got the biggest tires that could fit without rubbing. I love the look, but now that's been a few years, I'm looking to buy new wheels as well. Does anyone know if I can put negative offset wheels, probably steel, for a more offroady look? I'd love it if the tires stuck out a bit.
You should do a guide on what wheels fit. I have used everything from 15" to 18" wheels, from 6 to 8" wide. (offset is the key)
That is a great idea!
Those car ramps are excellent. Do you know the brand?
i saw an element earlier this week that sold, was lifted on 235/75r15's ko2's....looked sick
What did it sell forG

Looking for more affordable tires at the moment. Any recommendations for R17 ? I just join the family with an Element EX 04
How about205/55r16 bought them used and they ride quite well and quiet
I believe 15” wheels will fit, I just purchased 1955 ford fairlane steel wheels, Sumitomo Encounter 235/75/15 tires and an HRG 1.5” lift kit. I believe this should be a stout setup and won’t rub. Also I plan later on adding a rear limited slip differential that should make this element almost as good as a jeep offroading.
15's from the crv fit.
Just tested on mine, 15 fits, and on 15’s the tire size 235/75/15 will be smaller than 235/75/16. This version of tire size is a percentage of width and so it will never go bigger than 75 percent of the tire width. Put it on a smaller wheel size and your tire sidewall stays the same but overall diameter is 1” less and won’t rub. By contrast, a 31x10.5 r 16 vs r 15 of same size would remain at the same diameter with the tire retaining that 31” diameter no matter the wheel size.
For Winter I have Falken Wild Peaks 235/70r16
Summer I run Cooper Cobra 235/60r15s on Old Skool American Racing Torq Thrust D 15 x 8 with a zero offset and 1/4" spacers
Interesting! Thanks why do you run 15’s in the summer just curious?
@@StephenAldaco i wanted to go more of an old skool hot rod wheel with white lettered tires. I get alot of hot rodders at cars n coffee meetups asking me what Im driving. Lol
@@randypaddock6506 that’s awesome! I need to fix mine up a bit more to take it to a car show. I looked it up those wheels are pretty cool!

235-65-16. The perfect fit. No rubbing and the same diameter as the stock 215-70-16. So no speedo change. Wider track, better handling and looks great. This is the size the Element should have come stock with.
What brand? Are those all terrain, summer?
do u need to get new wheels for these or can these fit in the stock oem wheel?
@@pcuser6888you can fit those with stock. The overall diameter is basically the same.
When you talk about maximum size tires at 2:00, you're talking about stock suspension and no spacers, right?
Correct!
Need to remember that using a nonstandard tire size will also affect the speedodomer
Yes it does, great analogy.
Can I use 275 70 16 tires?
too wide, will rub.
What about 235/75r15
Too big for stock
@@StephenAldaco not all of the elements you were talking about we’re stuck I have one on hrg 3in on 235/75r15 and a CRV
@@dmax9731 235/75/r16 would rub on most stock elements depends on the tire brand and there slight differences. But if you have a lift / spacers should be no problem
You never mention wheel offsets either
Oh I didn’t good call. I know most of these owners locally so I’ll reach out and add it to the description or perhaps I’ll work on a blog post.
@@StephenAldaco I think you actually live by me, I’m in highland ca. We just got my best friend a 2003 and we’re doing upgrades slowly so he can do mild off-roading on a budget. So for now we’re only doing a 1.5” lift and new tires 225/75/16 Toyo open country A/T III’s since I have a tire account.
Currently looking for some different wheels I’d like for him to get a better offset something like 16x8 +20 so it’ll be like running a 1” spacer since 1” is close to the equivalent 25mm. Since the stock wheels are at 16x6.5 +45
Just trying to make sure clearances would work because that specific size I’m able to get him a lot of great options.
Чувак, протри приборную панель от пыли. Это какой-то позор...))
I got Falken Wildpeak A/T 235/70/16 on my 2004 EX AWD.
BEST. TIRE. EVER.
Nice! Also the perfect size for elements same as me! Did you notice gas mileage decrease when you installed them?
Stock height or are you lifted? I'm torn in between 65s or 70s (on stock height). But I've seen comments where 70's rub especially on bumpy roads.
@@ysoangri 235-65-70 are the perfect fit as they are the same diameter. No rubbing at all just much better handling.
@@ysoangrisome 235 70 16’s do rub but that’s because they all have different diameters weird but true. I had Goodyear Triple Thred, excellent tire but no longer make them. They rubbed slightly on full turns. I now have Kumho’s HT51 in 235 70 16 and no rubbing. Excellent inexpensive tire.
Can you put the 18" SE wheel/rim on any Element or only the SE?
Should fit any, but rides like crap.
