I failed to figure out how to install Arch Linux there is no graphical user interface to install

well so much for installing Arch Linux I couldn't figure it out because there's too much terminal command codes that need to be used in order to get it to run

Didn't work it said database file for core does not exist use Sy to download

Step 1; run # sudo pacman -S xorg
Step 2 ; run # sudo pacman -S gnome (or kde or xfce, etc.)
Step 3; run # sudo pacman -S gdm (or lxdm or mdm, etc.)
Step 4; run #sudo nano /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc
Add this at the end exec /usr/bin/gdm (or /usr/bin/lxdm or /usr/bin/mdm, etc.)
Step 5; reboot
That is install xorg, chose desktop environment, install a display manager, config the display manager then reboot.

Thanks. I will have to try that later when I have time. What version of linux do you think is best for people who only know windows or mac?
