I am working on a video about healers right now, I ended up cutting it out of this video for length reasons, stay tuned!
Been trying to heal with hunter horn. It just seems bad since it leaves you open to monster attacks and the stat buffs are more ideal. This wide range build seems much better.
Widgeon TV I'm currently using that build with my sword and shield I find it the best as I can chug potions quicker and have easy access to flash pods so I can support my team all around

I've been running HH since day 1, but this opens up alot more potential areas for a healer class. I currently use the friends-gem (or whichever perk allows you to potentially share item heals with nearby teammates). This helps alot with still playing healer, but now seeing this ----- definitely more practical if shrooms can do the same.
If your team is pulling agro - you should have wide enough windows to play the tune and get moving!
The charm can only be level 2
Just adding something. Demondrug gives 5 attack to any weapon, however, every weapon has a bloat factor. This means the attack shown in the status screen is not the true attack. I'll list the bloat factors below:
Greatsword: 4.8
Longsword: 3.4
Sword and Shield: 1.4
Dual Blades: 1.4
Lance: 2.4
Gunlance: 2.4
Hammer: 5.2
Hunting Horn: 4.2
Switch Axe: 3.6
Charge Blade: 3.6
Insect Glaive: 3.2
Bow: 1.2
Light Bowgun: 1.4
Heavy Bowgun: 1.6
Divide the attack shown on the status screen by the respective multiplier to get the true attack. i.e. both nergigante's hammer and greatsword have true 210 attack, but the hammer shows more attack in status than greatsword.
The charm only goes to 2, so the easiest way is either the charm or helmet with a additional rar8 mushroomancer decoration
Dober gloves works too.
P H it's also worth noting that the commendation required for the lvl2 charm is one of the most difficult to obtain. It's a quest you can obtain at some crazy high level or by completing every single optional quest (which I think would be easier).
It only requires HR 15 thought. Try finding a SOS for it if you want the commission ticket.

Cheers for making these kind of videos. Every UA-cam seems to be missing out on making these videos and seems to concentrate way more on weapons and armour nothing wrong with that but this stuff could be a big win in a hunt and you only seem to be on top of it.
2 things wrong or misleading:
-Charm only goes up to level 2. Decorations are most effective way of getting it, but very rare.
-Nitro doesn't actually give different attack boosts. The attack you see on your weapon is a bloated value to help new players understand the slower weapons hit harder.
-You said mandragora are quick to take. This is true, but it's the same as their counterpart, max potion.
You can use the Dober chest instead of the charm. It’s a very popular chest piece in beta form for the attack 2 and decoration slot. But if you take the alpha you can free up the charm for something like an attack 3. Mushroom helm, Dober a, plus attack charm 3 for example gives you attack 5 and mushroomancer 3. Not bad at all if you’re going for attack which many people are. Of course, once you get the decorations you can swap out the helm and chest but I with how rare they seem to be I wouldn’t wait around for them.

In endgame as a healer anything above lvl 1 mushroomancer is negligible. I never run out of crafting materials anyway. If you fit in fast eating, mega potions are almost as good as mandragoras. Also max potions and mandragoras don't work with wide range, so with all the healing you already have with you (remember that everytime you heal someone else you also get healed yourself and vice versa), they're barely ever used.
As for the food part, you can just eat a max potion and refill in the tent on a mission.
10 more max potions sounds awesome on paper, but I couldn't find much use for them and would rather fit in other skills in my set.
Feuerbringer someone who fucking gets it. People are just glorifying the dam skill since they want to run 12 full restores for some reason. Max potions were there originally to restore your health to full in case you fainted, but now players want to stuff it down their throats as if it was ment to be used all the time.
This. Potions are not that expensive to make, and honey is VERY easily made through cultivating. I use wide range/ speed eating and have no desire to use mushroomancer.
agree, max potion + the 30% extra heal from skill and wide range lvl 5 is more than good.
I now regret sleeping on Mushroom mancer, its so useful! 10 max potions, are you kidding me? I know what set I'm working on next
Thanks man, your MH videos are the best. I play solo, and knew most of this because I rely heavily on the mandragoras (they alone make this skill worth it), but the details about the exciteshroom are new to me, and something I hadn't seen in my research. Most people just say "it is one of the other effects, randomly," I had no idea it could give you buffs you can use the other mushrooms and regular boosters for! I don't think there even is a consumable that gives earplugs... Though maybe I just haven't made it yet.

Didn't you say early in the video you would discuss being a healer later in the video? I think your audience would like another video with an armor set etc for being the "buff master" of the team. Do the other effects you discussed work with 'wide range' perk besides the one you stated? Thanks
They say mandragoras do not benefit from wide-range. Haven't tried it yet as I don't have Mushroomancer Lv3.

Mushroomancer, probably the most underrated skill in MHW..

Nitroshroom basically gives you 5 real atk point same as all weapon.
Various weapon got different values because that is not the true atk point.You have to divide by weapon modification to see the real atk value
Ex.
Hammer got 26 atk
when divide by 5.2 = 5
Bow got 6 atk
When divide by 1.2 = 5

I run a +5 wide range mushroomancer with speed eating and quick draw. I also run a hunting horn. Ill mostly heal and keep songs up. Makes it very rare to fail missions with pugs. My buffs easily outweigh the loss of damage of running the horn.

Quick point of note - you said at the start "a level 3 Mushroomancer Charm" but the charm itself only goes to level 2, not 3, I got a Mushroomancer gem 💎 the other day, seems extremely rare because although it's only level 1 itself it's worth 128 points to the Elder Melder 😲 - no way THAT'S getting melded! 😂
I've been using the charm with the Commission set but now I have the (one) gem 💎 I can now play around more with other sets, awesome video though 😊 👍
Great video dude very informative, I use a mixed armor set so I can buff myself and allies but also be able to dish out damage to the enemies.

Gives you Mushroommancer rank 3 wide range rank 5 weakness exploit rank 2 and with the right gems you can add more attack gems to armor slots. Also seeds and powders stack with the shrooms for more defense and attack.
I feel like it's also important to note that the attack/defense boosts are percent based and NOT flat, making all those numbers that you came up with... Well, no good.
Sucks that 2 years later we get Defender gear with no levels of Mushroomancer on it not even Picklejho armor has it in base World
good to know i have 2 decorations with this perk in my inventory without using, the best part is that is uses just the 1 slot so can fit it anywhere.

Man, they changed the exciteshroom buff.....I used to spam that sht for bow, hammer, and especially and high-dodging builds, like LS...gave unlimited stamina (and if wide range was maxed, itd spread to everyone else)

I've always been a fantasy of Mushrooms and mushroom stuff. In fantasy realms and real life. And No I'm not taking shrooms. I just think they are beautiful and fun things in the world. All my friends keep saying to use the dragon Kings eye patch and other helms but I'm sticking with my Mosswine Mask. I worked hard to get it and it was my first hard rank item I farmed for.

one thing i dont think you covered is how long these buffs last. the demon/armor equivalent would be obvious since they last permanently but what about the others? do they last as long as their normal counterparts, longer, or shorter?

I'm not surprised that Hunting Horn is lowest I just want to ask where you found the data for most and least used weapons. Because I know the most and least are correct simply from playing. But what about the middle ones.
Recently I've started utilizing mushroomancer with wide range to load into a quest and stack buffs before switching out equipment. I do have a couple questions though if someone wouldnt mind helping me out :)
The first is whether or not the mushroom buffs are mega demondrug and armorskin equivalent of are they the same as regular demondrug and armorskin? Up until this video i thought they were the same as the mega counterparts now im not sure..
2: what the heck equipment do you need to upgrade the mushroom charm to 2 and 3? Im HR 90 and there's still a mystery commendation-looking material which confuses me.
3: how far does wide range level 5 extend? Im wondering if I'm wasting slots having it max
Can only upgrade mush charm once, need to get mush Dec in order to get no armor mush and it's an incredibly low chance on tempered elders

Why does your game looks so much more clear?
Initially I hated the idea of wearing this item because it hid my characters handsome face. But as I play hunting horn support in multiplayer. It seems like I’ll have to try this wide range mushroom pig face build.
You can hide your headpiece in the options menu, in case you're too ashamed of your species.
You can get 2 points of mushroomancer from dober armor pieces (gauntlets and i think alpha chest maybe I can't remember) as well as point(s) from the amulet if you don't wanna wear the helmet. There are also mushroomancer jewels, but I've farmed tempered missions for days and have yet to see one
how long does immunizer last? and do the buffs from exciteshroom last until you die or is there a set time limit?
now I just realized how dumb I am to meld mushromancer deco coz I think it just another gimmicky deco.
Easiest way to get it is by decorations, it only has slot lv.1

Level three Mushroom Charm, huh? So do you need to mod it in or is it a cheat code?
It's an in-game item. Alot of the Charms go up to level 3 though some are 2 or 1 depending on the skill
@@popitrekker1543 Pre-Iceborne there were no mushroom charm 3, infact most charm that had a skill level cap of 3 only reached level 2 at the highest and skills with lvl 5 only got to 3. Iceborne and later patches have added lvl 3/3 and lvl 5/5 on almost all skills.

Just go test it in the training room.
Yes from ~5 mins to ~7 mins.
To add to this some of these mushrooms have a limited time effect and others stay until you're carted

Sakuya yeah but that's not what I was saying like devils blight (dash juice) will run out after a certain amount of time but nitroshrooms effect (demon drug) won't go away until you either die or return from a mission

You mean it does not, fortunately. It would almost completely take out any challenge (except for the few one shot attacks) if everyone just ran around with 12 max potions and wide range.
Feuerbringer it doesn't really matter if you can't use the mandragora for the team honestly because all other healing items work. So you can carry 10 mega potions, 10 regular potions and ten honey and craft 10 more mega potions when you run out of your first set of mega potions, 10 blue mushrooms and if you want 10 sushi fish scales. So on your own you can apply 40+ heals to the team it's plenty strong (not including life powder cause I don't use it).
Sure. The point I was making though is that running 12 max potions on wide range with just mushroomancer lvl 3, you wouldn't require fast eating and even if you include fast eating, spaming max potions is still alot better. Fitting lvl 3 mushroomancer and lvl 3-5 wide range could be easily done for any class in multiplayer and that'd 100% turn into the online meta if it worked.

You don't actually use mushroomancer in battle unless you are using a wide range set. Equip gear, use mushrooms, change to main gear.

dude i'm sorry but as a veteran from mh i can't like your vid, don't make a video if you don't know thing, first learn how many time you can up the charm, second the buff from demon drug such as all the different buff is the same for all weapon, demon drug is an up of 7 to the true raw of your weapon if u don't know what it mean then don't try to explain something u can't.
