Unless compounds from foods can be synthetically made at scale, l doubt various specific food stuffs could service billions of people. Servicing tens of millions of enthusiasts by the supplement industry, is not the same thing as eventual mandatory prescribing to billions. I am pretty sure global NMN production could only provide a 1g daily dose to between 130,000 and 400,000 people a year. To supply the world population, production would need to increase between 2,000,000% and 6,000,000%. That's just NMN. And you want to do that with many molecules, from foods that have no chance of being able to supply such demands. Meaning unsustainable costs. I think the resources are better off being put towards scaling gene therapy technology...
