How To Slow Stitch A Scroll of Houses

- Let’s stitch this scroll of houses. It’s like a little neighbourhood all rolled up onto a handmade paper
spool. You can use scrap fabric for this, or cut little houses out of larger pieces of fabric.
I used kitchen towels for the base and backing.
You can make the paper scroll any size to fit your project. I recommend starting your stitching first so you can use it to come up with measurements for your scroll.

Your macro tapestries are awesome! I, personally have n desire to work on such a small scale. You're so creative and detailed, but what do you do with your pieces afterward? How would you display or use the pieces? Do you sell your work, or do you do it for your own pleasure?😊
Thank you! This is a scroll so that’s how the piece is finished. A rolled up piece of art. I make books but they can also be framed or used in other ways.
Another breathtaking artwork - wish I lived on that street. I do hope you begin to sign/date all your work! The spool, too, because after all, you made that as well. Can hardly wait for you to do a winter version of the street!

Houses are one of my favorite motifs to stitch and yours are adorable. I love your channel and look forward to your videos and I like that you use dollar store items. I'm interested in the pink and white tool you used to spread the glue for the windows, I've not seen that before and it looks very handy. Not sure what it is called but would love to have one 😊 If you would share it's name it would be much appreciated, thank you.
Thank you! I like houses, too. ☺️ I think it’s called a dotting tool. Its purpose must be to paint dots on things or make little round indents in clay but it works well for other things. 😊
