I love your gig vlogs. I do very similar shows in Arkansas. I told my wife that you’re my Utah doppelgänger. Thanks for going to the effort in making theses videos!
Awesome playing as always. Really interesting to see how you setup and what kind of rig you use. As a bedroom player it's always amazing the amount of prep and thought that goes into a performance like that from a pro.
Mann that was a breathtaking performance, WoW!!You played a lot of happy upbeat music and that made the people more talkative and happy, that was spectacular, very very nice, they appreciated it too...🤗
Rich, Technical question. When playing acoustic guitar through a PA or any live setup, How do you control guitar" noise" after not playing through for a while going from the couch to plug in or open, It is always a bit of shock the extra sensitivity you feel and hear, the pick on the strings. The extra sustain etc. It seems you have to adjust playing while plugged in. Or are there settings or tools you use to calm down when plugged in acoustically? Thanks for your thoughts. Troy
Lots of palm muting. If you play electric, you may already be doing that. But just lots of controlled muting, which I learned as an electric player. Hope that helps.
Real Paying your dues gig. As long as the foods good and the pay. Personally try to avoid those. HEY Rich, just a suggestion, Show more of the setup. Ya know the "What outlet am I using" stuff. You carrying everything in. I love watching people work . HAHAHA ! I work also believe me, but love to watch others do it. Now I want apple cider donuts .And its spring not fall !
You avoid food and pay? Ha! Weddings are the best paying gigs, you usually dont play long and there are tons of perks. I usually show set up. I was pressed for time so I didnt film it.
So when you do a wedding gig... do you ever take a break... jump on the dance floor... clear a big circle and do a back flip like that FBI dude whose gun fell out and shot someone? By the way, you looked and sounded real great.
Ha, yes. This was only an hour gig. But yeah sometimes I take a break and look for the guy with the tray of shrimp, or help myself to the buffet table...🤣
Nice video. Thanks. One constructive comment….I love the black crowes (and really like she talks to angels) but that may not be the most appropriate song choice for a wedding. It’s your show and I’m just one person. Again thanks for the video.

Do u use IEM?
Good video, great lead work, wow. Too bad the vocals were too low in the mix to appreciate fully. Sounds great though.
I wondered what gear a guy would take to something like that. Maybe as some point you could talk about the other audio stuff.
I’m not sure that Run to You is a wedding tune. 😀 And what was with all the donuts? Was that the cake?
Totally not a wedding tune, and thanks for noticing. 🤣
What’s your set list look like for this type of gig?
What was the first song u played …dancing in a sea of dark?
"Dancing where the Stars Go Blue" actually Stars Go Blue by Ryan Adam's, but lots of people have covered it.
@@RichBischoff thank u! Great cover
Well Done! Sounds great! I hate you! 😁

Pity he didn’t show us speaker system etc which is what I wanted to see
Nothing special, couple small radio shack pa speakers and a behringer powered mixer.
The guitar sound ok! I don't know about your vocals, I can't hear your voice.
vox were low.....from where im sittin
It's because my phone was behind the speakers, and pointing at my guitar.
@@RichBischoff no worries sounded great otherwise
