  • Lots of times, a little machine is just too small to be of any serious value to work- but I use this little trailer often and likely for way more than its manufacturer has intended to use it for too. I’ve lost a race to the weather- I’m paying for it today. Winter has settled in.
    I like it. 😎

    That timber trailer is really nice, that’s on my wish list. I can’t believe you don’t mill 6 inch logs, Sandy would be horrified 😂. I feel like you’re trying to saw the log stops off when you get that small.
    Merry Christmas to you and your family.

      @thelogfather5002  19 днів тому +1

      Sandy makes the most of the logs he harvests- to be honest, I mill everything I cut myself- but when I buy them, I’m fussier than I would be otherwise. Merry Christmas to you as well!

    You should adjust your pressure on that boom to make your action more smooth.

      I wish it were that easy! It’s got a set of all or nothing cheap valves- I’m planning to upgrade it someday. Low on my priority list. Have a merry Christmas. Jeff.

    Thanks for producing interesting videos! I have to ask, why don't you sacrifice two cross logs on the bottom of your log pile so they don't freeze to the ground? You said that was the reason for moving them so they wouldn't freeze to the groung and be in the way of your snowplow.

    • @thelogfather5002
      @thelogfather5002  19 днів тому

      When they get to their final destination in the pile, they have crib bunks under them. That location is just where the truck drops them off that’s convenient and quick for him. Have a merry Christmas! Jeff.

    Good one. Neat tools. Can you slow the engine down on the loader trailer engine to slow the hydraulics. ?
    Those leaning towers of power don’t say Dodge on them. 🤭🤭
    Have a great Christmas and New Year. 🎄🎄👋👋

      If I slow the motor down too much, it’ll stall- it’s much easier to control when it’s hooked to my tractor. I had a few 225 SuperSixes in my day! Great engine. Merry Christmas to you and yours, from me and mine! 😂

    Any stress fractures at the mount?

    • @thelogfather5002
      @thelogfather5002  19 днів тому +1

      Not at the boom mount- I broke the spine in two before- I have a video on replacing it with a much more substantial piece of steel.

    What is the fought cost for the trailer and grapple setup? How much weight can it manage?

    • @thelogfather5002
      @thelogfather5002  19 днів тому

      Fought cost… not sure what you mean? Freight cost maybe? Rough cost? I paid a few years ago around $10500 Canadian for it. The grapple is rated for 350kg at half reach and the trailer is rated for 1500kg. Thanks for watching! Have a wonderful Christmas, Jeff

      I haven’t seen one in the flesh- I suspect it’s about the same as the Range-Road.
