@@KerenWang Yeah makes sense. Seems like quite some work is being put into the vids. Great effort by GCN and the team behind.

Mention Cheats will you!
@gma7788… 😢😢😢. Why cry you have no proof of anything. Maybe you should go watch bowling or shuffleboard😂. You’re the one CHEATING …us out of our peace. Yea if they don’t test positive for doping
Yeah, OBVIOUSLY CHEATING.
Get rid of them and deal with cheats.
That may have been the most hard-fought 4 seconds in Tour history lol

And those four seconds came from a bonus... I guess that works for the Tour... to keep riders pressing for time bonuses or jersey points. It is exciting.
Clearly they're cheating.
This is the most fake performance we've ever seen.
What planet did these 2 cheats come from?
Impressive performance by McNulty!!!
Yeah. Lets see how he will perform tomorrow

I am no expert, but for me it seems like the fight for the yellow jersey is decided if there are no accidents for Vingegaard. Firstly UAE is extremely weakened and even though their performance and pace was incredibly strong today it wasn’t enough to make a difference and it is in doubt if they will be able to isolate Vingegaard in the next race. Additionally Vingegaard didn’t show any weakness today while Pogacar seemed on the edge and not really in the position to attack. I mean anything could happen and I certainly hope that Vingegaard will struggle in the next stages, but I don’t see it.

I think TJV played very safe today with Kuss and WVA. With Pogacar burning out his teammates like that today is a signal that tomorrow he expects not to fight too much. I mean Pogacar being a prodigy that he is might still be good but he realises Vingegaard is too good at the moment and might not be able to match the yellow jersey tomorrow.

I think it's all going to come down to that last TT again. These two are such a good match in the mountains. Awesome tour this year, so much fun to watch.
Same with Bjerg. Incredible how he rode the first two mountains.
They are only 4 left, but were completely dominating today.
Campy drive chain not Colnago bikes was the problem. Trouble descending on the Pirelli Sh*t tyres (as Pogi called them during the Tour of Slovenia) as well. Expect some equipment changes in for UAE next year.
They are also a match in TT, First stage Pogi was third and Jonas 7th, with only few seconds lost
It's called cheating.
Pogacar and Vingegaard mopping up on the rest of the guys. It look like Pogacar hurt Vingegaard on that finish. Gonna be a close GC coming up.
Hopefully, there will be a rivalry between Vingegaard and Pogacar in the next years, like there was between Ullrich and Armstrong.
Ullrich and Armstrong didn't really have a rivarly. It's not a Rivarly when one completly destroys the other constantly. Lance even overtook Ullrich at a Time Trial once. They weren't even close. Lance was miles ahead.

Today confirmed Pogačar can't beat Vingegaard this year. After the time trial he might be able to close the gap to about 90 seconds, but that is about it. The Best Pogacar today
Good Luck tomorrow...
Pogacar & UAE teams tactics for Stage 17 was absolutely correct. They realised Jonas V has responded to every Pogacar attack on short bursts. GCN pundit said Pogacar should attack until he blows up to see if Jonas V will blow up. Pogacar has attacked & stopped… probably realizing he was close to blowing up & losing more time. Why do that when 2nd on GC only ahead by a few secs & risk ending up in 4th or 5th & not winning the stage.
UAE only chance is to wear Jonas V down. set an infernal pace, isolate him and see if he cracks. Fatigue him, ramp up the mental pressure and perhaps the cumulative effect will show up in stage 18. Now Pogacar is 2 ½ minutes ahead of Thomas, he can risk blowing up more on a long fast paced drawn out stage & he will still retain a place on the podium.
Go Vingegaard - Go Denmark! Respect to Pogecar
2 obvious cheats.
Zero respect.

Pogacar played this brilliantly, his goal was to win the stage and he did. Vingegard will never beat him if they go to the finish together.

Must say, Lutsenko made up some good time to his opponents there
What are the odds?! Pogacar loses all his climbers. And exactly on that day, Bjerg and Mcnulty who we didnt see the whole tour, ride like the best climbers in the whole peloton. Mcnulty destroys Thomas, Bardet, Quintana and everybody else. He rides 2 mountains alone in front and even in the valley! I am sorry but this cannot be a coincident, that both those riders are the best climbers in the peloton all of a sudden! I really wonder what they had for breakfast!?

For Stage 18 which Wout van Aert will show up today? Yesterday he blew up to get points for the green jersey finishing 21 minutes behind, although he was WAY ahead in points leaving Jonas Vingegaard to fiend for himself at the top of the Pyrenees.
It takes Roglic in form to beat Pogacar in a finish like this
It's a bummer that we never saw Pog vs Rog in the tour as we wished, but Jonas is so strong in mountains that really surprises me
To be honest I think Vingegaard is better than an in form roglic. Roglic may have the edge in Time trials but Vingegaard is the better climber and he’s proven that now.
McNulty? Dropping all the GC contenders? How is it make any sense?

I'll have to go back but seems like Yates hasn't contributed much to this tour.
He helped paced G. Thomas back yesterday after they got dropped. But yes, he does not seem to be in good shape this year.
He’s second tier racer
I think the root of the problem is having a lot of really strong guys on the team (3 Ineos riders in the top 10 until a couple of days ago).
Because Yates is probably not going to burn himself pacing for Thomas due to possible good GC finish. But this means that on average both guys will get tired more than the single team captains Pog/Jonas/Nairo etc...
Plus Pidcock got a lot of freedom (not that it is a bad thing but it means he's also not going to burn himself pacing every stage): in the end I only really saw Ganna, Rowe and the Spaniard rider (can't recall his name right now) doing some "real" domestique work in the Ineos team.
Those are 3 very strong domestiques but not enough if you want to beat Pog/Jonas imo

This guy supported pogacar as a lion!!!!!! They are still 4 but they never give up!
The Stage 20 TT, will be fairly long at 25 miles, could Pogacar pull back over 2 minutes on Vingegard?
Let's see what injections 💉 these 2 cheats have been taking.
I think this stage was the decider. I mean you got to give credit to UAE to even be able to pace the way they did with only 4 riders being left, but they gained basically nothing. Additionally for me the first time in this TDF it seems like not only Jumbo-Visma is stronger than UAE, but also that Vingegaard could surpass Pogacar in an one on one. Pogacar was not able to give Vingegaard any trouble. I doubt that next stage UAE will be able to run such a hard pace and Jumbo-Vizma doesn’t even need to attack. Of course anything could happen and Pogacar is an incredible rider, but I personally don’t see how.
Could be that JV has been burning their own matches. Interesting to see tomorrow if both JC and UAE domestiques are spent forces. Then we just have mano a mano again and Jonas just needs to hang on like he did today.
@@doommonger7784 Yes that’s definitely suspicious, especially Bjerg who isn’t necessarily a climber. Let’s just assume and hope it was a performance of a lifetime. That’s definitely one of the reason I don’t see them being able to attack tomorrow again. It would be a different situation though if they had some „special help“.
@@mikhailway I don’t think JV are on the limit the same way as UAE. They are more riders and didn’t ride such an insane pace as the UAE domestiques. Anyway even in a one on one this is the first time in the tour this year I would bet on Vingegaard and not Pogacar. In Stage 11 a Team effort was needed to beat him, but now Vingegaard seems to be more rested and less under pressure. However of course in a one on one you should never underestimate Pogacar. As I already said though JV will probably control the next stage.

Pogacar can beat Jonas is most stages in an individual competition, but he has had no team who can pull him. He's on his own and trying latch onto anybody at times. To his credit Ving is sticking to Tadej's wheel... team or not team. He is riding in Pogacar's draft for miles at a time.
Hmm… I do not agree. Vingegaard doesn’t have to chase anything or attack Pogacar. He has shown once(Col d’ Granon), that he can take 2-3 min. on Pog. Now he just has to hold on. He has the extra power if needed. And I think Vingegaard will be better at the TT than Pog. But let’s see. Enjoy the last of the TDF :) Exciting like never before no matter who’s on top of the podium in Paris.

@@zigzagnemesist5074 You are forgetting that he is 4 years younger than Geriant Thomas. If ever a guy was built to climb mountains it is Nairo Quintana, and he's destroyed by Mc Nulty who did all the hard graft till the last 500 metres. Like I said, I won't be watching any more of this.
Same thing happened in the Froome domination days. Nairoman rode like a beast but then when Froome did his accelerations and sustained them, he dropped Nairo like some kind of amateur race in play.
Quintana has almost been keeping up with the GC riders for for 16 stages. McNulty has been chilling, saving strength. You cant just disregard the previous 16 stages, and the accumolated tiredness
@@mannekold I would almost agree with you, if it weren't for Wout van Aert, who has been up the front day after day in the green Jersey. Almost falls of his bike with exhaustion after leading the yellow jersey up three mountains, but 30 seconds later is back on the wheel of TP and somehow manages to finish third. This from a guy who is 6ft 3in and 78kgs and as a result is devastating in time trials as his stature would allow him to be. Humping 20kgs of weight up mountains more than a small Columbian who happens to be one of the best climbers in the world......sorry I don't believe any of it.
How did Pogacar gain 4 sec on Vingegaard?
Vingegaard was with Pogacar throughout the race finished at 0 sec.
Time bonus for being 1 place.
Fastest tour in history and no drugs 🤔
What does GC mean?
could there be the new Mr. 60 in the making?
Oiga car is going to win in the crono
This is Vingegaard's Tour short of a disaster...
JV better attack on stage 18. Otherwise it's been pretty boring at the front since stage 11.
I'm starting to realize that Vingegaard has better cornering skills
COULD POGACAR GO ALL OUT ON LAST MOUNTAIN STAGE TO CUT INTO THE LEAD ON YELLOW IF NOT 2ND PLACE WITH 3 STAGE WINS AINT BAD AT ALL AND YOUNGEST RIDER JERSEY WIN.TAJEG WILL BE BACK NEXT YEAR FOR YELLOW
I love how the commentator is making a serious effort to pronounce all these names.
However, he is overcompensating for "Geschke", saying "Geske" for some reason. "Sch" in German is close enough to "sh" in English.
It's so they don't have to question the performance of those 2 obvious cheats.
Get the cheats out of the tour de cheats.
I'm so sick of commentators 👎 questioning performances and never suggesting they're cheating.
GET THOSE 2 CHEATS OUT OF THE RACE!
McNulty!
Can somebody explain to me the madness of fans along the race? They seem demented. It is hard to imagine how riders can contend with such behavior.
both runners should be tested every day.
