    • @wootburger6612
      @wootburger6612 6 років тому +17

      I can clarify the Viper/Cobra discussion. The US Marine Corps uses two versions of the Bell AH-1 helicopter: The AH-1W "Super Cobra" with two-blade main rotor and the later Version AH-1Z "Viper" with four-blade main rotor. Since the one in the video has a two-blade main rotor, it is the "Super Cobra" - not the "Viper".
      Furthermore both of the versions I mentioned have two engines in contrast to the former US Army versions of the AH-1 Cobra with a single engine.

      John Hall what are you even saying there is no AH1Y only a UH1Y And an AH1Z which are primarily attack birds, while the UH1Y is used for transport, they are generally separated in squadrons such as "Gunfighters" and "Gunrunners" and are primarily used in the marines. But both can be used as CAS, Ariel reconnaissance, CAS, ISR etc

      John Hall you are speaking about the AH-1 Cobra... other wise known as the Bell or AH-1 Huey Cobra which is the two blade variant which was introduced in 1967 and is still in service these in the video however as you can see these were the two engine models not the single hence the blades..

    • @CapStar362
      @CapStar362 7 років тому +1

      +John Hall, you sir are a fucking idiot. its the AH-1W that is the 2 bladed Cobra. there is no Y Model Cobra. the last two in service are the AH-1W "Super Cobra" and the AH-1Z "Viper Cobra"
      Just looking at your channel , you have not served a second in the Marines, much less have a slightest idea what you are talking about.
      a simple google search will tell you ( aside from my 5.5 years in the Marines myself and now 8635 Logged Hours as a AirMED Helicopter Pilot ) its a AH-1W Super Cobra.
      the last Single Engine version was last used by the ARMY as the AH-1S which received several modernization updates to the Avionics, Targeting and Flight Systems, also a new "Angled" Glass Cockpit window setup for better Armored Glass than the Rounded Glass of the AH-1F and prior models.
      After this, the Army no longer flew Cobras, but went to the AH-64 Apache, which the Marines DO NOT use.
      Please go stick your fingers in your ass and refrain from typing anything else about military hardware.
