I learned at an MSF course. I think that is the best way to go. I also took the advanced MSF course, which is the basic course, but on your own motorcycle. For me that was an 09 Shadow Spirit. My wife, Jennie, really started riding this year, and does really good. After the MSF course, she started on the 09 Shadow, then for only about 2-3 months on a 2012 Dyna Wide Glide (we hated that bike), that we traded for an 09 Yamaha V-Stare 950. She practiced a lot in the parking lot on the Shadow and Dyna, but did not practice at all on the V-Star. We were out last weekend and we had make a u-turn a couple of times, and she did not make them lol. Well, the next day, she did go back to the parking lot to practice.
I took the SD course and really enjoyed it. I recommend it to everyone. My 18 year old nephew took the course in Wy and passed now he has a new Honda rebel.
I went through the harley riding academy just to see if I would be interested in motorcycles before investing in one. I rode bicycles as a kid so it came naturally to a degree. After purchasing a motorcycle l, I rode in my buddies neighborhood until I felt comfortable to get to faster speeds. Did not take long. My biggest fear was stopping the bike. 3 years later and can only wish I would have started earlier in life.
Thanks for watching, TWOWHEELD friends! If you ride, where do you practice or what do you have in your area to learn to ride?
Twowheeld, great encouragement to boost the proper steps to getting help with the program. The MSF course is the best way to start! Doug🏍️😎👍
Thanks, Doug!

That’s good to hear she went back for more practice after things not going so well. She will get there! Practice makes all the difference.
