I was a student at the University of Houston and took Dr. Holts history classes. He was the most dynamic and engaging professor I had in my entire college career. I still remember his classes on history of ancient civilizations always being full....an amazing feat for a commuter school and history class....

Did Alexander, and the later Diadochi Hellenistic rulers had contact with the Greek colonies in Magna Grecia, Massala, Emporion, Northern Black Sea?

Pyrrhus of Epirus famously became involved in the politics of Magna Graecia after the death of Agathocles of Syracuse, and was what spurred him on to invade Italy and fight against Rome. Not much can be said about the Greek colonies of Gaul, but the Bosporan Kingdom became intertwined with Mithridates VI of Pontus
