The changing of the guard at buckingham palace the old guard of nijmegen company grenadier guards with the band of the welsh guards make their way to buckingham palace from st james palace to meet the new guard.
The new guard of the royal gibraltar regiment with their regimental band make their way from wellington barracks to buckingham palace and then to st james palace.

Nice to see the Guards side drummer not having his head buried in the music. Brilliant playing from both bands. Very versatile band.
It looks to me like the swagger increaseed when the pipes started up. Bloody smart. Presented in good order all.
Got to be the most compact band in the British Army, well done.
What a versatile band - and a smart Guard. Well done the Royal Gibraltar Regiment!
Never get tired of watching this spectacular performance, well done lads, making Gibraltar and the British army proud.
What a lovely Changing of the Guard by the Royal Gibraltar Regiment, with bayonets fixed.
great stuff thank you! what a musical variety!
the tune with pipes and bugles is called killaloe it is the regimental march of the royal irish rangers/regiment
Sound of bugles at around 09.08 fantastic sound with bagpipe following fantastic sound
saw them in the Tower of London , very smart excellent drills .
Don't you just love it!!! Grand stuff.....
Great video and thanks for my maories for serving her Majesty The Queen with the Royal Gibraltar Regiment Band and Drums
Excellent video thanks for making and posting it :-)
Such a reminder of another time: red tunics and white helmets! And of course bang-up to date with some RGR serving in Afghanistan etc.
gavsky23 should be the case with any British Army regiment guarding the Queen in my opinion, a bit of pomp and ceremony didn’t hurt nobody!
The royal Gibraltar regiment .a credit to Gibraltar and the people of Gibraltar.
Love listening to these guys
Thanks for the video....You have a steady hand or a good camera.....Joy to watch
They are like a cross between the Royal Marines and the Guards battalions.
1st march is called sarafand" nice to hear this now and then now..is not heard often but its a great march...followed by HM jollies" ..then the little bugler" played by the R Gib rgt
Basically, Officers first, then troops, then NCO's bringing up the rear. I know! I served for 4 years in the 8th Canadian Hussars, rank Lt. That's a tank regiment.
The tune is Holyrood, and is the quick march of the Royal Air Force Regiment.
Very colorful. Thanks for posting the video.
For more color and tradition look up Turkish Bursa Mehter Takini marching bands. They are the oldest marching bands and introduced drums into bands during the Crusades.
It's a shame all this glory and great music is wasted on war. Enjoy.
And I like how all the cars are driving on the correct side of the road ha ha ha!
I'm impressed that the three pipers are also buglers in this corps of drums. The Bugles, Pipes and Band for Killaloe was very impressive. Only way it could have been more impressive was if they had also played the flutes with the pipes.
Im one of the pipers thanks for the comment and btw we do play pipes bugles and FIFES not all at once hahah either pipes and bugle or fife and bugle depends the marches
great video thanks verry much im one of the pipers there im the one in the middle :D great memories
karim gonzalez Fantastic job! The RGR is my favorite British Army regiment and get this, I'm a Spaniard! You guys look very smart on those tunics and pith helmets.
Thank you seen this post 2 years late but thanks :)
I like how all the cars were driving on the wrong side haha
What is the job of the soldier who walks behind the band? I mean the one in the uniform of the Corps of drums. I could never find a clue what it is.
GhostDivision1000 This may seem stupid, but he carries the rain cover for the colour.
At 13:14 you can see him leave the band and join the guards instead, i thinks he is the Orderly. He is carrying the cover for the Colours and also helps the WO carry his staff sometimes
the march is killaloe".........regimental march of the royal irish regiment....marty
Someone asked about the march at 1130, it's Holyrood but I don't think it's an Air Force march.
Oops I just read where Holyrood is an Air Force march so I stand corrected.
It's a shame the helmets are obviously plastic moulded.
You just don't get the slimmer and taller shaped pith helmets like they use to make out of cork.
emptyangel My Parents and I are Real. And jealously won't get you anywhere. I am proud of my Parents. They are quality.
Umad spain?
Name of march at 0:54 it is very nice
H M Jollies
nobody plays it better than the the royal irish regiment but well done the gibraltarians
Gibraltar is the best. My Father God bless him. Sargent Major he is in heaven. He is the best.
It's just the different side.
Road guards at 2:50 lol
The police officer is wearing a rain coat.
The British use pipes all the time...
Keen Eddie would be appearing to cross the street suddenly in chase of someone suspect...
well the Scottish is doing it know so .... yeah
Why are the horseback police wearing dresses?
Because its raining🤦♂️
Conquered 3/4 of the world. Very Gay.
The changing of the guards almost always features mediocre music. Why don't they play more Sousa marches? It's not because Sousa was an American since they play lots of marches from Continental Europe. None is much good.
They play proper marches
If your army was as old as the British army, and you knew the historical significance of some of the music and regimental march pasts, you wouldn't ask such ignorant questions.
