I love your videos.
Bro absolutely love this helping me so much pls carry on and dont give-up 😊
Hi there I play hockey for my school and you have made a better hockey player than my teachers could ever had. Keep this.
Hi Jeroen excellent video yet again! I was wondering if you've released or if you could release a video of how to defend on the baseline in your circle, do you try and shadow them out, or jab tackle and I would have to assume it would be better to forehand tackle than backhand (unless I've got them mixed up).
Another idea is tackling all over the field? In your 25, or in their 25 etc. I think a mash up of when and how to tackle around the field would be an awesome video idea. Foot work too is crucial. Just an idea! :)
Love your videos. I am a low knowledge hockey dad, but my son is a great player. Short, quick but brilliant and therefore associates well with you. These videos help us both. Would've loved to do your course but converting it to ZAR makes it impossible. So we binge watch your vids.
He is a very good hockey player i see his goals
I love my Hockey ❤

Where can I find the tape you used on your stick?
I always get called by for back of stick whenever I do this 😂
I've no doubt your technical description of the tackle is spot-on (it's you, after all!) but in my experience both on the field and observationally watching hundreds of international matches, it's still a low-percentage play.
If the ball carrier has their stick on the ball, a shave is highly likely to knock the stick off the ball first, which is the foul umpires are seeing most of the time. Either the shave must be perfectly timed when the attacker doesn't have their stick on the ball or it's on the right side of the ball, leaving the left accessible.
Forwards get so frustrated at being called for these stick tackles and I wonder how much of that is not understanding their own probability of success here, what do you think?
Hi Hertzberger. Will you play in next 2024 olympic game
No he retired from international hockey
😯

Why is the inside of your stick full white
If he does a dragflick the keeper cant see the bal
@@jpjvdl4733 very smart tbh

Wat voor stick heb je? en waarom is je stick wit aan de binnenkant?
Als hij sleept in een strafcorner kan de keeper de bal minder goed zien. Hij heeft een Osaka pro tour 100
How do you make it white?
@@lucanchurchill2562 you make it white with paint
I did this and it got called as a backstick
I have a doubt isn’t coming from the back of the player considered as a foul
I am not brave enough to try this , seems a great way to loose your teeth. Coming in from this side if the attacker lifts his stick?
I have no doubt Hertzberger i a far better player then myself. but the audience he is teaching should not be taking advice from a forward player and especially this tackle. Technically, as expected this video is perfect description of footwork and balance however above all other tackles this one is such more about timing then any other to avoid a foul and there is zero mention on how much care you should take tackling from this side of a player to avoid getting hit yourself in the face.
Thanks for your message! In part two we will address the timing part! For now it’s about technique, timing and footwork. Also we stress the fact that making a foul is not favourable.
👍🏻
Also, forwards are the first line of defense so we are the first players to put pressure and try to steal the ball. The shave technique is the most used technique for strikers to steal the ball. Just saying 😇
@@HertzbergerTV thats fair, i only mention forward because i believe defenders and forwards mentality is different on field. and for a forward i can see why it would be a most used technique. i feel like i commented because as a defender this tackle seems more high risk then what i would normally use and would perfer any of my team at a backline to make a much safer play. my bad.
With tackles like this, don't you think you should warn players about the dangerous of timing this wrong? The implications of catching a stick in the face tend to be permanent.
Otherwise, really enjoy the video's.
It does not work
As one can douge you by only one dribbl😂
It works only if farward is unknow of one before him
For my birthday can you please come with me ❤
