What FULL MARKS on A-Level Economics Essays Actually Look Like

- Hello, welcome back to the channel! In this video I go through and dissect one of my full mark (25/25) essays from my 2022 A-Level Economics exam. I sat the AQA papers and this particular 25-marker is from Paper 1: Microeconomics. However, the style of writing as well as the comments I make should be applicable to all exam boards (Edexcel, Eduquas, etc). Let me know if you'd like more videos of me going through my exams!

I just emailed my old teacher to ask for them and he gave them to me
Today, during Economics class (school), my teacher let's call him E) started teaching about PES.
As we all know, PES is always positive. After telling us this, he asked about PED's sign. Everyone in my class said Negative, I was the only one who said that it can be both Positive and Negative (I wanted to say that it's almost always Negative, but at that moment, it came out like that).
He looked at me for a while with an unreadable expression. I thought that he was going to ask me to elaborate it.
But this E just stared with those creepy eyes, "Are you planning to drop eco?"
This made me froze. I wasn't expecting this at all. I love eco, I plan to study eco as my major. I'm very sensitive about this subject.
But the way he said it completely broke my heart. "Study, study seriously or drop this subject."
My family's situation isn't currently well, I'm in a lot of stress because of that, and I'm hearing this from E.
Then he started saying how our seniors got bad grades in this subject in AS and A2, and how hard it is and kept looking at me like that.
At that moment, I started to rethink, am I wrong? Is PED always Negative?
After the class, I kind of looked it up, and it turns out I was right; PED can be Positive (giffen goods and veblen goods). My wording may be a bit wrong, but that doesn't mean that my logic wasn't correct. He could've corrected me politely, instead of saying that.
What do you guys think? Am I overreacting?
No you arent overeacting. Don't take your teacher's words to heart. Study well, and don't doubt yourself. Best of luck!
