If gaethje came into that fight still just a brawler chandler wouldve fought more technically. Since gaethje came into that fight the more technical guy, chandler had no choice but to be the brawler and hope for a ko. Otherwise he'd have gotten picked apart and leg kicked to death.

J. Gaethje has definitely changed his style, he admitted it is smarter now. That said, I felt like he could've gave Khabib a better fight. He was easily outclassed and that's probably why he hadn't fought until now.
Khabib is that good he's just an anomaly. Therefore, he's not a good metric to consider any fighter against. Arguably, Poirier did no better against Khabib than Gaethje.
