I love this podcast, but dude is a fraud. He doesn’t understand this stuff but is explaining something somewhat complicated to a large crowd of people who don’t understand it.
Not a single one of them understands any of this and a lot of what they said was incorrect. For example I am 110% positive that it was not true that the wealthy were able call their broker and continue buying into these stocks. Most of the reputable firms actually had more restrictive trading rules ( I.e. Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, UBS, etc.). When they brought up the thing about Ken Griffin saying to not allow naked purchases anymore that just means not to allow trades using margin or borrowed money and is actually a fairly common risk management practice since extreme volatility can also cause margin call issues. It was also very clear that they really don’t have a great understanding of options and options pricing (which is a factor of time until expiration , volatility, and how far away the option strike is relative to the current market price, and a few other things). I felt like I was listening to high school kids trying to explain something they don’t know anything about.

He did tried to monetize wsb community, but to be fair he clearly said in the podcast that he doesn't speaks for wsb and that no one represents or leads them, he said he was the founder which is true
