@Vinnie Provolone. A 2 hour Rampage having his way with the city in a bulldozer and only seven million dollars worth of damage?, most of it was covered up by the corrupt powers that be in that town, it was more like 70 million dollars worth of damage!
Such is the bureaucracy in this nation . it'll drive anyone to want to build a tank and smash stuff with it. Luckily for all the assholes in charge, not everyone that they wrong is smart enough to build a tank or has the resources.
@Vinnie Provolone Its more based on the principal of the situation. You are fucking over a man so much and then you have the audacity to fine him for a problem you caused and refuse to fix. Pretty much essentially stealing his money while destroying his life.
He managed to build a weapon of mass destruction which was immune to bullets, explosions and obstructions in a year and a half, didn't hurt anyone or any innocent person's property, all by himself in a shed and his plan actually paid out big time. That's insanely impressive.
Artillery? Where’s the gun on it? Also it wasn’t immune to explosive since a drone with hellfires or a couple handheld ATGMs would have done the trick, but since they scrapped the Apache helicopter idea, these were probably off the table. Although maybe a couple 50 cals could also work.

You missed one important thing. The concrete plant owner was connected to several of the government officials. He wanted to buy the property on which the muffler shop sat but dude wouldn't sell. So the city conspired to take it
And you missed the important detail that he bought the land for 42000, was offered 250000 for it, agreed to the deal, then backed out again and demanded 375000 and then upped it to 1000000 because he thought the plant owners had no choice but to pay him. I’m betting that the metal plate in front of the radiator is what ended him the, the cooling system is already barely able to keep up with a dozer working all day
There was no way for the vehicle to go the distance. To be honest it went beyond what anyone should have expected of it. It had armor sealing the radiator (it needed to be or that'd have been the focus of their attacks) As noted this was the fate of many tanks because even with proper lines and piping sealing a system like this means you need a long list of redundancies that would have required another year or two to engineer in this thing and I suppose rage can only fuel a project so long when the lights are about to go out and its cold at night alone in your shop.... I wish I could have given the man a hug to be honest.

The SWAT team also was ineffective against it. They tried throwing a flashbang into its exhaust, attacking C4 charges to it, shot at its cameras and none of it worked. They had seriously been considering using a hellfire anti-tank missile launched by an apache helicopter to destroy it.

Wow, I actually side with him. Government is supposed to SERVE the people, not their own interests. This city literally drove him crazy, and he's a hero.
Fined him for someone else’s mistake. Destroyed his career his lively hood and his small business. What could he have done? Corrupted politicians at there finest.
Well to be fair it's not like driving a bulldozer around and destroying stuff will solve the problem / get you what you want. There are a million different ways he could have approached this problem.
Dno if the politicians were corrupt, there may well be reasons for everything that happened that don't come back to corruption. More likely it was bureaucratic tennis, where you go from this office, to that office, to this office, to that office, and at the end of all that, there's a rule that says no. Isn't the USA big on personal responsibility? Shouldn't he have taken the fine then sued the crap outta the concrete business? I hope he used that concrete plant's concrete when making his armour, that'd be suitably ironic.
His access road was actually never severed, and it's a myth that he bought the bulldozer to build one. Big respect to heemeyer. I hope he's still bulldozing his enemies into oblivion in that big granby in the sky. The killdozer is a really impressive thing for a single man to build. Composite armor, armored cameras, sophisticated ventilation systems, and everything.

The failure of the killdozer only reinforces the statement of engine systems:
The cooling system is the most neglected system on the vehicle.
Went out the same way of the Ferdinand in WWII
This is why the German tanks, despite having better armor and firepower still broke down a lot because of the engine.
There was a big right-wing, no, a CONSERVATIVE movement, in the nineties, but then bodies started to drop. Waco, rubyridge, and countless hits carried out by the fed, this man was probably a holdover from that time.
The bodies kept dropping until the "Dissidents" quieted down. Then came the twenty-tens and the Bundy ranch incidents,(And their aftermath).
The bodies are still dropping to this day, you just don't hear about them, if you speak up for long enough, the fed will try to kill you.

I was expecting this to be shocking and kinda funny from the name 'killzozer', but actually found this whole story pretty sad. I'm no bleeding heart, but the whole mess could have been so easily avoided. He appears to have been a decent, average guy who was pushed by local officials pencil-pushing and box-ticking, and over time lost the plot. At least nobody was hurt, except obviously himself. Still, all very preventable.
@Chris The Pack RatSeriously? Then what were the three .50 cal guns that were mounted inside the dozer for? Duck hunting? And what about the fact that he fired incendiary rounds at massive propane tanks that he was trying to blow up?

"Practice mercy and compassion, but know when they must end." This man was patient, lenient, and willing to negotiate three times over! I've NEVER EVER heard a thing about this incident, nor have I seen any news coverage or recollection of anything to do with it until an older childhood friend mentioned this a while ago when I saw him at the grocery store in 2020, and I recently just thought about it here in 2022 for whatever reason... To start with, I am absolutely blown away that I have never heard of this incident before now.. second of all, as a welder, I am fascinated with the craftsmanship of the dozer itself.. So much preparation, thought, and work went into this... I just can't get over why this incident isn't more known about these days.. like considering the circumstances and everything going on, wow this is cool in a sick twisted kind of way...
Wow, I actually side with him. Government is supposed to SERVE the people, not their own interests. This city literally drove him crazy, and he's a hero.

@Fahad Nezam I'd call it a reason the government should stop fucking with its citizens.

Its called "wreaking havoc"
Fahad Nezam he targeted the people who he felt wronged him.
Solving the problem was no longer his goal, his goal was to get back at the people that screwed him over. I think he suceeded in that.
Despair drives people to do many things that someone sane would not do.

To think all that could have been prevented by building a simple access road
Which he would do by himself as he had equipement and know-how. Just let him do it.
His access road was actually never severed, and it's a myth that he bought the bulldozer to build one. The one thing he had to do to get the local authorities off his back was to install a septic tank or get hooked up to the sewer. @@whitesquirrel4131Those are some surprisingly true, but harsh words!
Though, from what it seems like, his revenge didn't last stop there.. Even after his death, people still talk about his story to this day.. (I guess that's all that really matters huh?)
Before I go, I'd like to point out something.. 7 million dollars in damage isn't much money as compared to an international company, so sadly, the impact this guy made really wasn't that significant..
But in the end, he got what he wanted didn't he? He took his anger out on those who wronged him, regardlessly of how greedy they were, and in the process of doing so, he quite literally "knocked" them down a peg or two.
