Thanks very much to the people working at this factry for the wonderful job you do in making these models. They look terrific and run very well. Your work is very good.
Bravo Jason! Thanks for showing us the labor of love that goes into making these trains. It's important to show the handy work and people that build them. Love your LRC trains! Looking forward to buying the RDC's.
I must say that in combination with the other videos, this is one very interesting...story would be a way to put it about what it truly takes to get from a concept to a running model on someones layout. I know that the hobby has been under flak in recent years about the cost of some of these models and about where they are made. Seeing this really helps put everything in perspective. Thanks for the transparency about what it takes. Keep up the awesome work that your company as a whole does!
Interesting how models of this quality are made. Rapido Trains are outstanding. Perfection and detail are the standard in this company. As a Railroad modeler and a RR fan, I appreciate very much this brand. Congrats to you at the helm of RT, Inc
Hi Jason thanks for all your hard work on making sure us lucky modelers have the most accurate RDC in HO scale in my opinion ever made on this planet,my orders in for the Santa Fe set ...a dream come true Jason ;)
During production we will certainly do a video. In the meantime the guys at Revolution Trains are the ones to talk to about a video. We're sending them a new sample today.
I look forward to the N scale Turbo train. It will look great beside the three GMD-1s in NAR scheme I have. Please hide more phaser sounds on the decodes, it was a nice touch and make wife bust a gut laughing lol. Cheers from Calgary.
all of the time you spend in QC, can surely save you in your bottom line for the long run! i could sit at one of those rubber stamp presses for hours...
So nice to see all this people making our kits. How much would it cost to manufacture them here? Do you mind their working conditions as much as you care the quality of the trains? I would rather changing my hobby if not. Congrats for excellent work to all the team.
Thanks, Jon! The best way to learn is to be here. You need to communicate, so you learn the words. I also keep discovering that words I learned are not actually used colloquially. So I have to relearn the correct word. - Jason
Definitely not like a native. I can get by, but my vocabulary is only a few hundred words. Every time I come it grows a bit, and having spent a total of five weeks in China this year means it's grown rather a lot. -Jason
I've watched enough crime shows to know you never let your worker ladies wear clothes; that's the way you know they don't steal anything. P.S. I am rooting for you guys. I love how your operations seem so personal. It feels like I'm buying products from a locally owned store.
Jason, if you're going to thank the folks at the factory, shouldn't you do that Chinese? (I have no idea which dialect. I have enough trouble remembering whether to post in English, American or Canadian, eh?)
I love Rapido Trains but the only thing is, why aren't they made in the USA!? Why can't we even make model trains in the US anymore!? This is crazy! All these Asians seem miserable! Why can we have a bunch of American men and women who love model trains, make these trains? I know plenty of people who would enjoy this job!
rapidotrains yeesh, that's brass territory! Lol. I'm very happy with my FP9, won't find a better quality, highly detailed model for the money. Need a couple more though to complete my OSR fleet.

Thanks for your kind words!

Thanks for the great videos so interesting to watch and see what's is being made and how it's done ✅ brilliant

Thank you very much!
Thanks for the update. Great to see the factory and the level of QC you have!
Thanks. I never realized the personal human involvement in making the model trains.
They are doing some good work there. cant wait to get a Via... cant remember if it was 1,2 or 3 that I pre ordered...
very cool to see all the magic behind the curtain. So looking forward to seeing this when they arrive!
I feel like Rapido is the only manufacturer who I would actually read the manual for.
Thanks! We actually put a lot of work into our manuals to make them an enjoyable read!
Massive organizing challenge Jason, well done! Your team are doing a superlative job. B
Hi Jason thanks for all your hard work on making sure us lucky modelers have the most accurate RDC in HO scale in my opinion ever made on this planet,my orders in for the Santa Fe set ...a dream come true Jason ;)
Wow at looks hard tell your workers I say good job they deserve it
Fantastic model and great to see how the kits are assembled! What about a video on the pendolino?
During production we will certainly do a video. In the meantime the guys at Revolution Trains are the ones to talk to about a video. We're sending them a new sample today.
I’m surprised that skids are not secured inside the container(at the end of the video). I hope it’s done before boarding.😊
They do! Some elements of the packing process weren't filmed.
Whoa PRSL!! One of my favorite railroads!!
Wow never expected to see inside a Chinese factory like this. Looks cool.
I look forward to the N scale Turbo train. It will look great beside the three GMD-1s in NAR scheme I have. Please hide more phaser sounds on the decodes, it was a nice touch and make wife bust a gut laughing lol. Cheers from Calgary.

How long did it take you to learn Chinese?
Great Video. Really cool stuff you got there

If you look closely and quickly in the paint room, you'll see an old style TTC Fishbowl around 4:30 ish.
I'm just so impressed at your Mandarin, Jason.

Very nice vlog. I am from India
Thanks for watching!
The workers seem to be happy , there
They are. Every single one returned after Chinese New Year. That is very rare.
cant wait to get mine and do a review.
Do they reload that container somewhere before it gets on the ship? No cribbing or airbags with the pallets in the middle? Nice looking models!
That is just a delivery truck to take it to a customs inspection at port. It gets loaded onto a container there.
Look at this! And they wonder why some of us are loyal to Rapido (and only Rapido) for our passenger cars? Now you know.
Thanks for everything, Jason.
They are Great... but expensive. Premium Brands=Premium Prices so it's money well spent.
Thats very interesting to see how you make your trains. The only thing is why don't you have your factory in the US?
David H Cheaper labor.
Because hes is Canadian
Every country can't have its own factories for everything.
labour costs stupid!
Are Rapido coming out in H-O, scale the New Haven 4400 series washboard M.U. cars . ?
2:25 is amazing
Nice video of your factory
Not so important that the printing error happened but important as to what you build into the process to prevent it from happening again.
Thanks for the insight. Interesting.
Yay the RDCs are being shipped! :D
Interesting! Still not sure if Jason speaks Mandarin like a native or if he is just tossing a few choice phrases in to impress!🤓
Definitely not like a native. I can get by, but my vocabulary is only a few hundred words. Every time I come it grows a bit, and having spent a total of five weeks in China this year means it's grown rather a lot. -Jason
rapidotrains .....a Chinese-speaking Canadian that drinks Yorkshire tea....that makes you an international star!
Surely it is abbreviated DRC Diesel Rail Car not Rail Diesel Car.
can't wait to buy one
So... no N scale RDC...?
Can't wait for my Royal Hudson
So this is how RDC's are made
this really is amazing
Love it. RDC, Rapido Democracy in China. Yes?
That is awesome
3:01 also
will you ever produce rdc's again
This is a whole video devoted to showing you that the RDC's are being assembled and shipped out! Yes they are making RDC's!
Hi
Hi!
@@rapidotrains i was checking out your site but I have an o scale train.
Check it out!
I've watched enough crime shows to know you never let your worker ladies wear clothes; that's the way you know they don't steal anything.
P.S. I am rooting for you guys. I love how your operations seem so personal. It feels like I'm buying products from a locally owned store.
very interesting video's
Sehr Interessant. Das nenne ich mal Life-Produktion in China.
Is it just me or.. Was that gentleman in the paint room handling a cream and maroon coloured Fishbowl!?
Around 4:06
Erm... Nobody here but us chickens.
Omg that's cool
Jason, if you're going to thank the folks at the factory, shouldn't you do that Chinese? (I have no idea which dialect. I have enough trouble remembering whether to post in English, American or Canadian, eh?)
fantastic!
把火车你们做好
I'm playing with grammar, but your process looks skookum !
Hi all would guys be interested in making an Australian new South Wales government railways rdc budd car
We made one in 2016. We're not sure there is enough demand for a second run.
rapidotrains got any photos of it i would to buy one if I could
rapidotrains that's ok they are different to the American ones
please make a video like this when you make the Royal Hudson's
to bad no santa-fe
Brill!
So how is the factory operating now with most of China shut down? Hopefully, your factory wasn't in the Wuhan city/province.
Our factories are not in Wubei province, but we are still affected.
@@rapidotrains - yes, anything that comes out of China, no where is getting affected.
I love Rapido Trains but the only thing is, why aren't they made in the USA!? Why can't we even make model trains in the US anymore!? This is crazy! All these Asians seem miserable! TheNY Railfanner6275 because it's expensive.
Would you rather pay $500+ per model or $299? Cost of labour and parts etc etc would drive the cost through the roof.
Make that $1500, not $500.
rapidotrains yeesh, that's brass territory! Lol. I'm very happy with my FP9, won't find a better quality, highly detailed model for the money. Need a couple more though to complete my OSR fleet.
I wonder how much of a hit we'll see on price due to Trump's new tariffs.
We'll worry about that if and when it happens.
A lot of those young women were attractive. Were any of them ladyboys?
