I used scale sound systems speakers in my PA. She has the very nice deep growl and bass. Absolutely fantastic sounds from the tsunami 2. Just need to really dial in the equalizer as she has way too much shell rattle.
Hi George, great video. Thank you for pointing out the speaker wiring issue. Also, usually with 21PNEM decoders it is difficult to remove them, but I have one locomotive with the reverse issue, the decoder is too loose. This is on a Hornby OO scale British Railways class 9F 2-10-0. It comes DCC/sound ready for a 21 PNEM decoder. I used you Econami UK 21PNEM steam sound decoder. I found that the blanking plate (as they call the dummy plug) was literally falling out when I opened the tender. When I installed the decoder, it too kept falling out. I tried to used Kapton tape to hold it in place, but it didn't work (not too many places for the tape to hold. So I gently bent the two banks of pins slightly away from each other, giving just enough friction to hold the decoder without damaging it or making it impossible to install. Now the locomotive runs and sounds great.

George, can this be done with the newer RS11 release from Rapido also, or will that require rewiring? I don't much care for the ESU I would prefer to change it to a Tsunami. Thanks.
I have not gotten the new RS-11, so I cannot make assumptions. The newer E8 does have some lights hidden from us, so the install video needs some slight modifications to the model to make it work, and we have not yet had time to shoot those videos yet. But I do not have a RS-11, so I am not sure if it will or will not have any hidden lights. But you can plug in the TSU-21PNEM8 and test the lights you know the model is equipped with and then see what you can operate, and if there are unavailable lights, they can be moved on the motherboard. Thanks for the feedback!
I second using sound scale systems speakers with tsunami-2 decoders. They sound amazing with soundtraxx
