  • Welcome Back!
Join me for another super busy pass of the ISS. David (KO4GAR) The Parks on The Air 1-Watt Wonder even made it! I have known David through POTA for a couple of years now and was super excited to hear him on satellites. Please check out David's UA-cam channel after the video, he does some cool things with ULTRA LOW power.

Bahahahaha! I can't believe a slim jim antenna on a stick actually made it through that madness. I made a whopping 7 dollar upgrade today. Hopefully my junk tenna will work a little better and i can retire the slim stick.lol. Thanks for the QSO!

The 1-Watt wonder strikes again!!! 😂 Great work as always David, you always seem to do fantastic with the most unthinkable setups. I’m more than ecstatic to see you on satellites man. You are gonna love this journey, 73!!

Could you please create a video for Doppler settings of 9700

My 9700 is controlled by the CSN Technologies SAT Controller. All Doppler is done automatically by the SAT. if you do not have access to one it’s a bit more complex. FM satellite Doppler is pretty easy. On receive you start 10khz high and work your way to 10khz lower than center frequency. The transmit starts about 2.5-5khz Low and you raise it 2.5-5 kHz higher than center point as the satellite goes overhead. The SSB satellites are a lot more complex because the transponder is taking an LSB signal on vhf and flipping it to a USB signal on uhf and vice versa. If you need further guidance shoot me an email. It is good on QRZ. 73!!!
