If I left an ex, even if it were for something petty, if I keep rejecting his advances, if he loves himself, even if he knows I left him prematurely, over something petty, he would walk away and be at peace with that. A person who has self-love will choose self-love over “harassing” the one that they think “got away.” He’d look like a fool running after a woman who is running away from him. Chasing someone who doesn’t want you reminds me of when I was a kid, I grew up on a farm, and we had to chase the chickens, trying to catch the chickens to tie them up to ring their necks and prepare them for dinner. I get the same visual when I think about another human-being “chasing and trying to catch” another human-being who doesn’t want to be “caught”. Don’t pursue someone who doesn’t want you even if you think they left the relationship prematurely.

He's absolutely right. Distance helps so much. It's hard but worth it in the end. I had to leave my home, church, friends and his family and distance from my family members that were close to him. Only then did the healing process begin. Forgiveness does not mean you have to reconcile or stick around.
So I glad I found this video today. I did a pro /con list to help me identify what was good and bad about the relationship and what I really need to be getting over. Game changer. Realized this wasn’t love. I was tolerating and settling. I need to work on the lack of self respect I must’ve had to allow this relationship to persist. But he was coming home late from work every day, never going out for dates, never been posted on social media even though I was posting him. It’s so hard, but I’m trying to heal and get over him. Lol I broke up with my ex 9 months ago and still haven’t been able to get over it! It’s bc like you said in the video we were together in 2015 for a year and broke up for 2 years and didn’t speak but the whole 2 years we were broke up we both thought about each other every day so we got back together in 2018 after not speaking that long and we stayed together this time for a year and a half before we once again broke up last July over a small miscommunication! I was really upset at the time and I just needed some space away from him he took it as I was really wanted to break up for good and ghosted me! Deleted me on all social media blocked my number to where I couldn’t contact him! So Now I’m back to square one again! It’s crazy bc I really felt like we were given a second chance and he was the one but I guess I was wrong! I miss and love him so much but like You always say if a man leaves you once he ain’t the one! And this is now twice! I really wish I would’ve seen your videos along time ago before I gave him another chance. I’m so heartbroken even nine months after the break up and all I can do to feel better is watch videos like this to give me hope! One year later and I still have pain cropping up. They always say a half life of the relationship is what you need to heal... I've been too hard on myself during this process. Glad to see this video. When I realized he was narcissistic I thought I let him go. I made so many positive changes since then, I'm a complete different person and this has been my most successful year to date with everything I was able to accomplish. Got my license, a car, became a personal trainer, socials and my business started popping off, have so many caring people in my life I didn't have before. But like you said, I threw myself into my personal work and milestones but not actually healing the hurt. In my head like, he was so mean to me, forget him. But yeah, I didn't work through it.

I learnt that I argued needlessly. I feel embarrassed of the times I did and how I reacted, which ultimately destroyed our relationship. But I’m grateful that I can refine and improve having identified this.

I’m sitting here crying my eyes out. I’m so hurt. After three failed relationships, 2 of them marriages, getting used and cheated on only for them to go to other women and give them all the credit, I’m at my breaking point. There’s no way, God would let you go through all of that and not have a reward for you at the end of it. I feel like your blessings will be amazing, you deserve wonderful experiences and they will come to you. Maybe, it’s time for you to give yourself some of the love that you gave to those relationships. I know how you feel, though I’ve only experienced one real relationship. We have to focus on building ourselves up, and bringing our goals/dreams into fruition.

If I left an ex, even if it were for something petty, if I keep rejecting his advances, if he loves himself, even if he knows I left him prematurely, over something petty, he would walk away and be at peace with that. A person who has self-love will choose self-love over “harassing” the one that they think “got away.” He’d look like a fool running after a woman who is running away from him. Chasing someone who doesn’t want you reminds me of when I was a kid, I grew up on a farm, and we had to chase the chickens, trying to catch the chickens to tie them up to ring their necks and prepare them for dinner. I get the same visual when I think about another human-being “chasing and trying to catch” another human-being who doesn’t want to be “caught”. Don’t pursue someone who doesn’t want you even if you think they left the relationship prematurely.

He's absolutely right. Distance helps so much. It's hard but worth it in the end. I had to leave my home, church, friends and his family and distance from my family members that were close to him. Only then did the healing process begin. Forgiveness does not mean you have to reconcile or stick around.
So I glad I found this video today. I did a pro /con list to help me identify what was good and bad about the relationship and what I really need to be getting over. Game changer. Realized this wasn’t love. I was tolerating and settling. I need to work on the lack of self respect I must’ve had to allow this relationship to persist. Thanks Tony, I’m 17 years old and I was with my man who was much older… We were living together, I thought it was love because I was adored by him. But he was coming home late from work every day, never going out for dates, never been posted on social media even though I was posting him. It’s so hard, but I’m trying to heal and get over him. I left him and yesterday we spoke and he said he will let me know tomorrow, but I’ve made up my mind and I don’t want to be with him anymore. It’s bc like you said in the video we were together in 2015 for a year and broke up for 2 years and didn’t speak but the whole 2 years we were broke up we both thought about each other every day so we got back together in 2018 after not speaking that long and we stayed together this time for a year and a half before we once again broke up last July over a small miscommunication! I was really upset at the time and I just needed some space away from him he took it as I was really wanted to break up for good and ghosted me! Deleted me on all social media blocked my number to where I couldn’t contact him! So Now I’m back to square one again! It’s crazy bc I really felt like we were given a second chance and he was the one but I guess I was wrong! I miss and love him so much but like You always say if a man leaves you once he ain’t the one! And this is now twice! I really wish I would’ve seen your videos along time ago before I gave him another chance. When I realized he was narcissistic I thought I let him go. I made so many positive changes since then, I'm a complete different person and this has been my most successful year to date with everything I was able to accomplish. Got my license, a car, became a personal trainer, socials and my business started popping off, have so many caring people in my life I didn't have before. But like you said, I threw myself into my personal work and milestones but not actually healing the hurt. In my head like, he was so mean to me, forget him. But yeah, I didn't work through it.
