The “Mario Mushroom” is Amanita Muscaria or Fly Agarics. They have a lot of cultural and religious significance for some people. They are my favorite of all mushrooms bc they remind me of my great grandma.
Indeed! They are very striking in appearance, and subsequently appear in a lot of video games, especially as alchemy ingredients. They are poisonous, however they can be prepared in a way that makes them safe to eat. But unless you really know how to do that, be safe and don't eat strange mushrooms. xD

This mushroom is sacred in many cultures and has been eaten for hundreds, probably thousands of years; this is why they’re so recognizable. With balloons, I get either dupe recipes or craft materials from balloons (unless I need them, then it won't spawn) bottles give me dupes or bad items mostly and my villagers also give me mostly dupes or bad diys I don't rlly want. And I have a feeling that the balloons I miss or that dissapear in the flowers/water where actually the diys I want.
The "Mario" mushrooms are actually fly amanitas. They are very common, but poisonous mushrooms. That's why New Horizons doesn't have "special mushrooms" anymore. They are not edible in the real world.
I have so many mushrooms including THREE of the rare mushrooms but I've only found 1 diy and the one that Isabelle gives you UGH I'm crying, I keep getting duplicates of random other stuff instead of seasonal stuff 🥺

I always loved the Mush furniture set, and it looks awesome in ACNH! I don't really have much of the set in City Folk or Wild World, but I started my New Leaf town in mid November and seeing the mushrooms and Mush furniture brings back a lot of good memories! I definitely want the mushroom wand and mushroom umbrella the most. Now all I have to do is hope that I can get all the recipes... yeah dang it school I'll never get all the recipes in one month! Well guess whatever I don't get I can always try next year!

The mushroom patterned wallpaper has some serious 60s-70s kitchen vibes. I have my grandma's old kitchenware and it's a mushroom shaped cookie jar, lots of pots and pans with forest or mushroom themes... I dig it. 😂
Also I recommend grinding these out before the maple recipes come on the 16th because once that season starts, the game will prioritize the newer maple recipes over the mushroom ones and once the maple season ends you will only have like 5 more days to find the remaining mushroom recipes before they are gone for the year

the "Mario" mushroom is Amanita muscaria. the white table looks like a russula, the yellow lamp looks like a cube (magic), and the parasol base, looks like an amanita of some kind because of the "egg". the striations on the edge imply edibility, the color looks most like a cocora mushroom. another edible amanita is the western grisette. yellow mushrooms on the log (if edible and not deadly) would be enoki lol. yes, I hut mushrooms in the real world I'm sad they didn't have chanterelle for the yellow or white one. i think it would be awesome if they had nook mile islands spawn certain mushrooms based on mushroom type vs trees/plants.
So, you only NEED one rare mushroom for the forest floor DIY. Theoretically, if you wanna max out the number of DIYs you can do with the flat and skinny mushrooms then you want a 3 or 4 star island. Thanks!

I have a question that I can’t find an answer to tbh- and your channel is the only one that I know that covers the whole seasonal tips and tricks and that tries to understand how the seasonal items works. So, do any of you know if mushrooms can spawn on ground that has custom path laid on it? I know rare mushroom can only spawn underground, so it needs the ground to be clear of any path, but for the others? 🤔
I know I'm a year late LOL but I didn't play during this season last year. Sooo here I am. I've had mushrooms for 2 days.. so this being my 2nd day I have yet to find a dang DIY yesterday Issabella gave me one.

I’ve actually found the the red balloons usually carry seasonal items inside so everytime you see a red ballon shoot it down and there’s a chance.

i would assume like rocks and fossils it can only appear on the ground
Probably not, if weeds can’t spawn on it I’d imagine safe to assume mushrooms couldn’t either

I know I'm a year late LOL but I didn't play during this season last year. Sooo here I am. I've had mushrooms for 2 days.. so this being my 2nd day I have yet to find a dang DIY yesterday Issabella gave me one.
So with my 5☆ island i have less change to get skinny, flat, round mushrooms?? Why? Weird that 5☆ are punished for having more stars.
But you do have a more chance of getting rare mushrooms too? I’d say it’s a win win.

is anyone else not getting any mushroom DIYs? i've been playing multiple times a day, getting my DIYs from villagers, bottles on the beach, popping countless balloons, but the seasonal DIYs won't show up! I did TT to try all of my chances because i really want them, but nothing! I have so many mushrooms stored, i even tried giving some to my villagers :/

I love the strange mushroom and red mushroom the most.

How to stay hydrated: drink water or juice or anything when they say a letter with M D E or C
