2023 Peter J. Tanous Founder's Award: Dr. Joseph E. Aoun (Northeastern University)

The American Task Force on Lebanon (ATFL), a leadership organization of Americans of Lebanese heritage, hosted its annual dinner on May 18th at Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Washington, DC.
At the dinner, Dr. Joseph Aoun was honored for his exceptional leadership as President of Northeastern University. Under Dr. Aoun’s guidance, Northeastern has become a leader in globalized education, experiential learning, and innovation and real-world application of research
The 2023 Peter J. Tanous Founder's Award recognizes exceptional achievement in the arts, culture, and/or education. It is named for Peter J. Tanous, a founder of the American Task Force on Lebanon who has dedicated much of his life in support of higher education and recognition of artists, media, movie, and TV personalities of Lebanese ancestry.
