She makes it look so easy! Tara, this is beyond beautiful and so is your book. I'm in the middle of reading it for the second time. I searched "Tara Westover interview" because I wanted to learn more, and I stumbled upon this masterpiece. Truly, your book is a gift to all readers. I recommend it to everyone and I'm glued to it page after page. Keep up the incredible work.
Beautiful, Tara! I'm waiting for an album that you've recorded (or will record). After reading Tara's remarkable book, I'm interested in everything Tara does. Her story is one of overcoming!!
Steve and I were there yesterday and got hear live Tara Westover conclude her Northeastern University Commencement speech with this wonderful rendition of "How Great Thou Art." How glorious!
Oh how incredibly lucky of you and Steve! Ever since I read her memoir, I've been endlessly searching for videos of her singing! There's one on a PBS video and what a coincidence - I wanted to listen to her voice again and I typed in, "Tara Westover singing" and, lo and behold, here we are!
Your book was so moving, Tara. I just got goosebumps just listening to your voice! You’re a courageous and strong young woman. If I were your parents, I’d be busting at the seems at how proud we would be of you! ❤️ such an inspiration!
Just listened to Tara Westover's conversation on Super Soul Sunday with Oprah Winfrey on Facebook aboer book ut her upbringing and her book "Educated". It will remain as a video on that Facebook page.
Actually it's not a mormon hymn, it's originally a swedish song; O store Gud (oh great God) lyrics by Carl Boberg (it's very narrowly translated into english) and the melody is an old swedish folksong.
Literally just finished Tara's book. I didnt realise initially that it was a memoir (my husband bought it for a holiday read). I'm now catching up on the internet . Beautiful singing. I loved the book.
She is absolutely a woman of God to be able to sing like this. She loves her family. Very sad that they cannot all reconcile. All it would take would be for her brother to apologize and admit what he did to his dad.
He must have sustained some brain damage earlier in his life that Tara might not even know about, his behavior is not normal, his brain is not well and he has no capacity to do what is needed. Mother had brain injury as well. Dad is not well either, its not up to them to act differently than they are acting. Brain problems are mostly not fixable.
I feel like you missed a lot of the points made in the book. It would take a lot more than him apologizing. He may not be capable of changing. He needs a doctor and a psychiatrist which he will never be willing to get.
Ok, her voice was not overhyped. Absolutely beautiful!
She has a lovely voice. Just as described in her book.
I just finished her book. Was not expecting her voice to be as the book stated..angelic😇
How many talents does this girl have? The book is very good, the best book I've read in a while.
Me too!
A testament to her upbringing
@@Kristy_not_Kristine What do you mean?
Her greatest talent is surviving and passing on that knowledge. What an amazing woman.

How Great Thou Art originally by Carl Boberg :)
Omg thanks you very much!!!!❤️
@@TrinhAnh-hu1bs no problem! ☺️
such a graceful song I am not a religious person though
It might just be me, but I think she sounds almost JUST like DeeDee Magno-Hall. In other words, absolutely fantastic!!
Storyteller was a great way to say it. It was a good story.
She is absolutely a woman of God to be able to sing like this. She loves her family. Very sad that they cannot all reconcile. All it would take would be for her brother to apologize and admit what he did to his dad.
Becky Bechtel better off to not be around toxic people whether you’re related to them or not
So, I don't want to misinterpret you, being able to sing well implies that you're a woman of God?
He must have sustained some brain damage earlier in his life that Tara might not even know about, his behavior is not normal, his brain is not well and he has no capacity to do what is needed. Mother had brain injury as well. Dad is not well either, its not up to them to act differently than they are acting. Brain problems are mostly not fixable.
Spoiler alert 😑😑😑
I feel like you missed a lot of the points made in the book. It would take a lot more than him apologizing. He may not be capable of changing. He needs a doctor and a psychiatrist which he will never be willing to get.
Jesus Christ...*Pukes on podium*
Lovely but more so when sung from believing hearts
if you went through what she went through you would probably think differently
That’s kind of a crazy thing to say about someone with religious trauma. Mind your own business
wow
