@@CosmicMangoMTGi havent had a chance to test mine very much, but it is very funny to sit back (no one can attack me without paying 3 mana and sacrigicing their first born due to white pillow fort) and instead giving everyone else pp counters and drawing cards to slap someone else in the face. The hard part is how to deal with the last person standing, but if all goes well Baeloth is a 22/25 by this point and youve drawn into something like Rogue's passage to finish him off.
@@altejoh I have also experienced the "Last Man Standing" problem, not with this commander combo but with other goad-type commanders. Got to create a way to finally wipe out one person, or save enough resources while your opponents smash each other, that fr me has been the great challenge of goad decks I have built.
That Alela looks cool to me. I'm currently running Nymris, Oona's trickster as a commander, so much value, but I can see switching to Alela and keeping Nymris in the 99.
I built karona, false God as a goat commander, but you look to goad your own commander. Load her up with auras like visions of brutality and treacherous link or other equipment and auras that trigger off attacking for 3 more triggers of it around the table.
@CosmicMangoMTG It's on Moxfield called Karona's Baggage. I try to make changes to it every so often whenever I actually get to play it. It's not something I'd call perfect.
You forgot about Jon Irenicus and Bhaal, Lord of Murder. Two Commanders, with just disgusting and cruel Strategies which cause Carnage between Opponents.
I ran Karazikar for a long time. It was always fun, but I seldom won, because of the "Last Man Standing" dilemma. Easy to watch the 3 opponents smash each other down to 2, but tough to off the last player.
Mirri seems a bit of a nombo with Marisi since you are goading all of their creatures you want them to attack with ALL their creatures, not just one if Mirri is tapped, which leaves blockers. If they attack with all of them you get free attacks to keep them all goaded. Maybe only cast her when it's down to one opponent. Also, since we don't have blue, I recommend some white shadow creatures for great evasion to keep goading or cheap flyers
Yeah, you have a good point. I just love how it can be used to pretty much get through for the final attack, Goad struggles in the 1 v 1 and Mirri can help here.
Instead of nelly I like running the newest Aurelia as the commander of a goad deck, her ability triggers on any combat so the goal is to try and make sure that your opponents are swinging with 3 or more creatures and that they aren't going at you
@@CosmicMangoMTG I'm backing you up here Mango. Not sure why this ShinyLord would say that, deleting comments would hurt you overall and keeping comments that disagree also stimulates conversation, both pro and con.
I use baeloth and the white back ground noble heritage and lean into putting counters on things to grow baeloth
Nice! Do you find it better than the green background? I’m a huge fan of green so would find it hard to switch 😅

@@CosmicMangoMTG Plus you get to play a ton of fun cards like Take the Bait, Master Warcraft, and a bunch of cards that give creatures to opponents

Goad is Gold :P
What do you think about Red Death?
It's actually a pretty cool commander! That low casting cost is enticing
Not sure what a "golded creature" is but sounds neat.
