*"The thing about regrets is that when you have them, it's too late."* This is the sad and harsh truth about doing anything you might come to regret later. Once it's done, there's no going back to rewrite history.
It's never too late to use regret to inspire us to change. None one of us is beyond the saving Grace of God. Only on Judgement Day will it be too late.
@@motelghost477 They didn't say you can't change. Your history is fixed in stone. Nancy Reagan became first lady. People still talk about her past life. Prevention is better than a cure. I disagree with that premise, though. I think a 40 year old has enough life experience at that point and a fully developed world iew to understand the risks of doing sex work. They likely have had kids or have friends with kids, have had multiple sex partners who have talked around, been through multiple relations, battle addiction, etc. I’m 31 and I’m a completely different human being from when I was 18. The shit you could get me to do at 18 is crazy. I would never even think about doing shit like that today.
@@christianjames92 " I think a 40 year old has enough life experience at that point and a fully developed world iew to understand the risks of doing sex work" lol no.
It's true, but those changes aren't to eliminate the chance of something happening. It's to reduce the chance. If the reduction in chance is sizeable enough, then it's worth considering. You can never force an idiot not to ride a motorbike without a helmet, but you can make wearing a helmet legally compulsory and some of those idiots will abide.
I disagree, because people have different perception in life at different ages... For example, if you are busy going to school, or work like normal people, and have normal relationship established already and kids what not, they wouldn't think about it. If you go to countries that are banned this kind of stuff, won't see sickperverts all over rampant, girls exploited and snatched right out of their parent's hand to sell them "Hollywood dream" of being rich. I think there is a solution to some sort of restriction. But now that people have seen the freedom after 18, they wouldn't stop, and we have some sifucks who go forkids too... this is all because of excessive exposure and access to limitless such products.
I think that she didnt get rich from it that’s why she went and do only fan years later. Like most stripper they always go broke and regrets most don’t keep all their money or let alone make that much lol
In Latin America we have a saying: "Nadie aprende de cabeza ajena", which means "Nobody learns from someone else's head". No matter how hard you try to convince someone not to do something that will go against their best interest, some people can and will only learn the hard way and through their consequences.
Porn served her best interests at the time, though. It's made her rich and famous in a way she probably wouldn't have acquired otherwise. The issue is now that she's not making money from it, while also dealing with the social stigma of it (which in my opinion is a bad thing that should go away because it's just insecurity), so it's making her regret it.
@nickdoe7770 why shouldn't there be a social stigma? She chose to do all that on camera for money. Should she be respected like a teacher or something?

And ran with it. It takes character to accept what caused you shame.
Sasha had everyone telling her not to do it too, she was so adamant in doing it and getting weird with it. Even was on Tyra Banks show back in the day. I know it hurts her and the other stars that they just have to sit and do nothing on Twitch now. Had they only waited…

The think with alcohol it's about neuro development. The human brain fully develops at the age of 20 something (between 21 and 25). So, although I don't think that's the reason behind the age limit at 21, makes sense to keep it there. Regarding this, it's very reasonable to prolong the age of voting or choosing career (or to make easier to change paths) because of this lack of development at 18. At 18 your brain is still the one of a teenager, no matter what the law says.

If she TRULY regrets it, she should give up her houses, cars and all the money she made from those movies, donate it to charity, and try to make it without those advantages. These folks never cease to amaze me how they claim how hard their life is in a house they own and food in their bellies. I understand its a matter of degrees, but damn.... Perspective, people.
Its also the societal, cultural environment. The more debauchery is accepted the more young people actually stay young in their maturity. They aren't adults at a young age because of how little they are made to be held responsible for their actions. Tell me how many times you have seen 30+, 40+, 50 + males and females who act like they aren"t responsible for their actions today? She wasn't made to feel like her behavior doesn't have consequences.
What she says is copium when you consider ex-P stars have been warning future women not to join the industry which she most likely would have heard, and ignored.

@@ti20g Yes but Most of the time, we blame the young man for doing stupid decisions. Often times, women blame a higher power, or a manipulator that took their agency away. We are way more lenient with women who make stupid choices.
It's ironic. The statement is "Women mature faster than men" which we all agree, somehow, but when they regret a decision, they are somehow a child, "too young to know better", malleable and easily manipulated. You will never see a 18 yo man assuming this role.
The truth of all of this is that women exist between a child and a full grown man. They have all the protections a child has, but all the rights a full grown man has and can pick and choose whenever they want

I never bought the immaturity excuse. When I was 18 I didn’t go around drinking to excess, thinking I was invincible, driving drunk, or hooking up with a bunch of people. I measured the consequences against the benefits of every decision in life, so I never did any of that goofy crap. People know it's bad, yet they do it anyway, they just don't want to deal with the consequences.
Exactly. People make it seem like you’re a toddler, but you’re doing full on calculus at that age. You know right from wrong at 18.
Thats is a american thing tho, only americans have this extremelly weird way of viewing age, because here in Brasil if you are 18 you are a adult and thats it. Hell some poor kids start acting like a adult at 15 having to take care of their family and do very mature shit while still being on school(this is not a good thing btw)
but americans will say you are still a teen ( because eighteen which only applies to the english language), but you can have a home, a job, drive, have a gun, and do anything except drinking but hey you are still a kid?????????????? kinda nonsense is that? What bubble do you live in that at 18 you dont know right from wrong? Maybe this way of thinking is the reason people nowadays lack accountability and basic maturity
I can understand it if someone who is 18 or 17 year old doesn’t have the maturity to understand more subtle and nuanced concepts. But engaging in pron and OF is not in any way a subtle or nuanced topic
You didn’t but the overwhelming majority did and/or WANTED to do all that. Immaturity is very real and you’ll meet so many full grown adults who are incredibly immature. Imagine those ppl at 18?!
I suppose knowing it might be bad but convincing yourself otherwise is part of immaturity.
None of what u mentioned was anywhere comparable to what she did, I’d have way more sympathy for a 18 who drinks to much some time s and hooks up than a porn star. Those a regular 18 year old thing be a sex worker isn’t.

What do you mean? She had rifles, revolvers and various other shooting weapons aimed STRAIGHT at her face, sometimes even her tits.
From all different callibers as well. Most weapons were black tho
But the patriarchy and everything (I don't know I'm a grown person accountable for my actions)
For the same reason you can feel bad for any person getting into an abusive work space. You dont have to. But some do, its empathy its nuance. Yes she earns lots of money, and for many people having a big number in the bank account is equal to forfeiting any kind of human empathy. But im just explaining the why would someone feel bad. Some people have bad judgement and get into messed up things. And it sucks. Thats it

@dahliaherrod4301 true but she was blaming them.
While I’m not fully in support of her because she does tend to flip flop and be hypocritical at times. But I do think it’s fair to criticize both the men AND women who go into such a toxic industry
The fact she has a kid. Sure she can have rational regrets about her past and genuinely have grown from it, but that child is going to suffer those consequences all over again tenfold.
If you’re big on “content creation”, ain’t no way you should be having kids. There’s stories all over of kids killings themselves due to bullying from this.
Who knows, this will probably be something she realizes too little too late, just like her former career.
Her kid is going to have to deal with his mom being a whore. That poor kid is constantly having to deal with that. If you are being paid to be a whore you have to except the outcomes

Yeah..people should be at least 25 which is only the _average_ age that adult brains are fully developed (not taking into consideration those too traumatized to fully developed.) Unfortunately, too many people have a fetish for the young looking faces/bodies. And those young looking bodies look even more mature these days! People want the barely 18, and when the majority of other countries allow it to be done even younger (even many states allow it at 14-16 with parental consent) ain’t no way laws are going to stop women from doing porn at 18 when they are allowed to enlist. Shit, imagine how must worse it would be if we still had drafts! Everybody would be getting into porn to not only escape their lives, but to avoid having to go to war. Idk if that would even be possible during a draft 😂 but I assume drafts would be different than they were in the past, especially with how liberal our shitty “commander in chief” is. Lord help us if Kamumist becomes president…then our services will be even more fucked then they have become the last four years….as will the rest of us be. 🫣 Not good!
What you are saying is true but still SO WHAT??? Its not as if Americans have a higher IQ or longer lifespan than most Europeans who can drink at 16/18. It is an authoritarian BS measure. Alcohol is never "good" for you anyways

Adult actress regrets working for adult companies but is fine with OF. 💀
Solely because there is less stigma associated with OF. Or at the very least those "influencers" believe there shouldnt be.
And when they found out that it is being treated by society as the same(or close), exactly same crocodile tears will be spilled and same excuses about "being exploited" will emerge.
It’s different. Producers used to essentially threaten to blackball talent if they didn’t debase themselves.
OF is objectively better in that case because there’s at least a choice to be independent rather than at the whim of the industry as a whole.
@wabuyirichard9439 it cause OF the girls have full control over their content. It's not that it's less stigmatized.
Industry they have less control, and they use manipulation tactics to recruit the girls. They have them doing more degrading stuff when they first start out. They have a short shelf life. Usually lie to them about how much they would be making. So girls ruin their life.

If you can, go to war at 18. Then sex on camera should be fine
Those things that are illegal are a danger to OTHERS.
