How does this Airbus A350 compare in comfort and passenger experience to Boeing's 787 DREAMLINER? We loved the 787 LAX-SYD RT on United --any thoughts on your flights on the 787?
helios1912 I give the nod to the A350. Feels bigger and roomier. Both really nice aircraft. I flew Qatar business 787 and A350 both same type seats same day and again liked the A350
Great review. Have just done a number of CX flights in biz class I would totally agree with your scores. It’s a pitty that CX haven’t upped their game with a bed cover slippers and pjs on such a long flight. Still you can’t beat a good CX service that they do have right in my opinion. I’ll look forward to your next review.
I can see Cathay is trying to improve their service in terms of food quality to reach closer to other premium airlines like EVA, Singapore Airlines and Qatar. While CX crew are really efficient and nice, but this airline needs to work harder on the portion and presentation of the meals such as removing the freaking tray. It really restricts the available space. I also think the inflight amenities need to be upgraded. Not having a mattress, pyjamas and slippers is a letdown. It's still a great airline tho, but they just need to work harder.
That crew would have been happy with low load????? Cx never solve peoples problems and refunds are impossible until they find out you are a local PR resident as they look up your one worlds no and see a non HK address.

Very accurate review well done. The food and wine always seems to drag down the product which is a shame. We are One World so fly CX often. When on points though we prefer EK or QR.
Agree with Charles Hamilton and some people seem overawed by the CX experience but reg premium travellers are not and heave deserted in droves under 2 new managements and never returned as there are far better and cheaper alternatives No pyjamas etc for years and never bedding etc so why the high stars . Also food service on small plates since 1994 and limited choice down the back of the cabin and oh they always strike at Christmas and Chinese New Year
Louis Chiu definitely yes,I flew with Cathay Pacific three times in past 2 years, and none of the meal served was delicious , I was quite disappointed about it
Living in Cairns, we get to fly Cathay directly to Hong Kong, then any destination of our choosing. I would give their business class 4.5 stars.

They do have to let the common riff raff onto the plane somehow. 😉 There would undoubtedly be a lot smaller crowd on the business class skywalk.

Flew delta one on the a350 last night was excellent. Food was average but the seat was incredible so much privacy
Sadly I have to agree dinner was terrible last time. Service was good really enjoyed Delta One. Flew A350 Qatar and Singapore food was outstanding

Better to convert the remaining A350 orders to the more common 900 variant.
