BY FAR the best tutorial I've seen on Air Dribbles! All the other videos are the same thing over and over again. I love that you show other things to do (i.e. wall to wall columns, feathering goal post) that help you get the mechanics down.
I'm a Professional Ski Instructor, and most of the other videos would be like me teaching skiing by saying, "Just go down the hill and then turn... and keep doing that until you've got it." Sometimes you have to really, really break it down which is what you did... so, thanks!!

yes, it's the controlling touch. whenever you want to get an airdibble you need a controlling touch, like catching the ball on the nose of the car. of the wall that's pretty simple but in the air it's way more difficult.
I have found it helpful to jump just a split second AFTER you hit the ball, but everyone does it different

I am a diamond 1 and I feel that I've been lacking in mechanics a bit and I've watched too many Air dribbling videos and never managed to figure it out but after this video It just clicked and after about an hour i can do air dribbles consistently. Thank you so much you saved my rank and my time.

so clear and informative, I was able to understand everything easily, and I put it into practice and my air dribbles have improved a LOT. thank you. I've been learning air dribbles and can do them semi consistently. and this tutorial helped me just off the setup
Extremely helpful tutorial. So many people don't take the time like you have to explain each step of the mechanic. My problem has apparently been that I havent jumped off the wall at the exact moment I touched ball, which explains so much now. Thank you so much, very helpful.
The best one I've seen so far. I'm a non mechanical champ and this helped me so much! My setups were ok. The problem I was facing was not matching the balls speed on the first touch. I just did a cross field air dribble on free play (yeah i know not much but i wasnt even able to control the ball while flying.)

Great explanation, great tutorial. I never heard of 'don't boost on the lip'. I'm gonna try when I get into RL, but this tutorial already makes so much more sense than others I've seen. Pro's make it look sooo easy.

I'd like to see a speed flip tutorial like this. I still struggle with speed flipping consistently and a slow breakdown on them I think would be awesome.

Best tutorial I’ve found that covers all the little basics of the set up. The tip to not boost up the lip helped me understand the pop tremendously.

I've seen every air-dribble tutorial, and this one actually taught me some new learning methods and I was able to see some things I could improve.
Yes but he was wrong on to not boost on the "lip" Part,as Thanovic said in his tutorial,you can boost right before you hit the ball to make the ball chip just a little but further away from you,if it chips too far,use your second jump,now,as for the second mistake i Think he made,he only covered the Set-Up for one kind air dribble,you can do 3 kinds of air dribbles,one that where u use the jump(which is the part that he covers),one where you boost before you hit the ball(which is what i Said in my comment)And One where u dont do any of those,the 2nd kind of air dribble where u jump as you hit the ball is for cross-map air dribbles(as an opinion since air dribbles can be used in any way as it is a matter of prefererence)since it sends up the ball more higher,but personally the weakness of the way he teaches his air dribbles is hes clearly doing it decently close to the net,and yet so high too,you wont expect ppl to just simply sit there as you air dribble and give a challenging shot,theyll be challinging you mid air,and Not on the net(assuming if they know how to defend from the backboard)Also one thing to note,you dont get opportunities where the opponent gives you the ball and Space needed to make an air dribble,they usually challenge you before you could even do it so i Reccommend learning how to do air dribbles fast and Ceiling shots for going plan B if you have no choice

In my opinion... before learning this I'd advise anyone to learn air roll left/right first. I myself never got any mechanics right and I started learning air roll left a few weeks ago and I can't tell you how much it has helped me with shooting, redirects, etc... I started learning air dribbles today and immediately got the hang of it because I already know how to control my car and how to move the ball in a different direction. All because of the air roll mechanic. Went from Diamond to Champ 2 in so little time.
Any way still great and helpful tips! I always boosted on the lip but compensated by braking before hitting the ball so it wouldn't fly all the way to the ceiling. I figured that when you brake just a little the ball immediately sticks to the car from the moment you jump. Any way Im gonna keep this in mind
I had kind of figured that out on my own after trying a gazillion times. Thanks for showing it. I had all the components, you just put it together nicely. Off to practice. Tired of Plat 3.

Thank you so much for posting this video! I have scored a couple of air dribbles before this but after I watched this I practiced for a couple of minutes and got my first air dribble double tap and my first air dribble ground pinch! (This is not sarcasm)
No one has explained to not boost when you are on the lip of the wall.

Sometimes when im to slow and to far away from the opponents goal i boost through the lip because you get a really nice speed on the ball. Nice tutorial thank you!

ok, I've been a GC3 since f2p and a legacy GC since Legacy Season 2 and honestly I have never really been able to air dribble all that well. I can confirm this vid helped me massively...
I can get a perfect air dribble sometimes but I didn't know why. The "jump as you hit the ball while not boosting" really helped alot for more consistent perfect soft first touch air dribbles, thank you so much !!!

Learn basic mechanics if u wanna get out of dia. Air dribbling really isn't gonna help u a lot imo.
@@jokkijr007 basic mechanics got me where I'm at I do need to learn stuff like air dribbles. Maybe it's been too long for you if your an SSL or a professional but everyone in Dimond 3 is most definitely air dribbling (at least when/where i play) I've gotten better since this video but I'll just need more practice. I appreciate the advice but leaning the basics doesn't make a champ player, that makes a solid gold or Plat player. Like how to go and stop. How to jump. How to boost. Just a little insulting, but I appreciate the thought.
@@justusmurphy21 Bro no offense but that's complete bs basic mechanics get you to atleast gc. With basic mechanics i mean dribbling, flicks, powershots, fast aerial. If you add mindgames and demos and you have a solid rotation you can definetely get to gc2 maybe even ssl if your rotation and recoveries are really good.

btw you can make training pack where you start in mid with ball on ground so it's saves you some time on reseting in freeplay
