It was nice speaking to you yesterday. I get why they have a season pass holder day a couple of weeks before the park opens. It's kind of like a soft opening. It allows Wonderland to spot the problems and correct them. Yesterday was a bit of a mess with the restaurants and the power outages with the rides. I hope that with the world eatery opening up in the future, it will lessen the lines at the other restaurants.
It's so that air can pass through (preventing the walls from falling over). We had that a lot at Kings Island in the fall of 2018 with our construction fencing.
So here's a thought, playing on the idea that the big coaster project is tied into World Expo. What if, like Pantheon (manufactured by Intamin), it actually has multiple themes under an umbrella name? So, each of the different areas of the park it goes to represents a different country, province, or similar. So inside mountain would be one theme, Alpen would be its current theme, Extreme Skyflyer plot would be another TBD, etc. Just a thought. ( Admittedly, part of me just wants to see a top hat go over something like a pagoda or other architectural bit of beauty.)
Just throwing it out there, but the new ride's name being "Gryphon" is not as far off as we may think. While the Griffin creature is mainly associated with middle east mythology, it does have a place in French mythology as well (just look at Griffin at Busch Gardens Williamsburg). The fact we already have confirmation of "Gryphon's Crown" being the new VIP area combined with the fact that Wonderland loves using the mythical creature theme, I think there's a plausible case.
Hey, always love your updates. I'd love to maybe see in one of your future videos an explanation comparing our footing layout to other existing element footing layouts to give us a better idea of what they can be. Although I love coasters, I don't know all the lingo so some visual comparisons with examples would really help me out. Maybe a crash course on the names of elements of a coaster with pictures would make a great video. Love your content and I am learning lots. Keep up the good work, thanks.
Glad they finished making that new exit to thunder run but how am i going to access Showckwave & the bat if the path is blocked off in Alpen? Wonder if the new drink stand will use coca~cola Freestyle? Thanks for the update and i'll be at the park in July+August and maybe October for Haunt, thanks to your friend Craig for the awesome camera work and cya in the park! (I'm putting my coaster bets are on Intamin, Premier and Mack)
The new signs are cool. 7:35 the issue with drinks has ALWAYS been staffing... I found last season as example about half the drink stands were closed every day. 9:43 are you sure they have a drink stand? I was under impression you would need to go into Alls Well Hall to use that drink machine (they already have 2 inside there) so adding a 3rd in such a small area seems odd
Gryphon’s Crown looks awesome!! I’m loving the area. It’s definitely a good view. As for the coaster, I’m hoping it’s an Intamin. It would be a big step up for the park. I actually like seeing you at the park and using the mic. We get to see you at the park and you can show things clearly since you’re there.
Seems like it could be an Intamin LSM top hat based on the footings in the pathway, but it would be easier to tell once they start prepping the other footings.
It was great meeting you today hope you guys made the best of it :) also can’t wait for the next update! And was so cool seeing all the small changes they made
iPhone's default camera app doesn't have manual focus, and performs very poorly in low light, using the 1x camera even when zoomed in at 3x for better low-light performance. For videos like this you would be much better off learning to use a dedicated camera such as a DSLR for manual exposure and focus.
I’m such a nerd but I’m excited for an old English font. I’ve never been to Canada but I’m fully 100% committed to wonderland. I worked for cedar fair in pr and Duane from wonderland came to replace my boss and at the time I was leaving for another job. We worked at worlds of fun for a brief second. Is the wood paneling a hit or just their play on a construction fence? Because it’s not really blocking any view if you can see thru it
Yes it feels like some of the colours are dated looking. Probably cause they wanted a certain colour scheme/look (Canadian/natural themed?) but then they were stuck working with the existing structure and had to work with what they had. Assume they wanted to save on the front gate Reno so they could pour the money into the other 2024 improvements and the 2025 project, which while unfortunate (as I would have really liked to see a new front gate), as long the front gate improvements make entry to the park better, I would much rather they use the money for an epic coaster and other park improvements.
7:41 A quick note about the complaints around refresh stations. It wasn't JUST that there weren't enough. It's that they were either not open enough or under-supplied for product.
8 minutes in, and I think I've reached my "allrighty" quota for the day... Seriously though, thank you for this. Love how you're on top of all the changes going on.

Probably not due to the price of a Mack coaster + shipping, copperhead costed more than fury so logistically it doesnt make much sense. Most likely it will be a zamperla launch coaster in a similar style to the intamin launch coasters, due to cedar fairs new relationship with zamperla
Wow! So happy to see Wonderland open. So much going on. Wish i could ask Grace about what they did with the 40th Anniversary merch. Looks great. So proud.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Some Intamin engineers work with Zamperla now. It might be that now Zamperla’s footer design would be similar to Intamin’s. So Zamperla is still not out of the option?
I’m going with the wild card but B&M’s take on the new style of launch coasters because they buy in threes right? We have Iron Menace which is the first B&M since Yukon Stryker which I think wrapped up with the gatekeeper and valraven if I’m correct. That’s my prediction, and either the third B&M will be an invert for valley fair or a giga for worlds of fun in 2025 or 26 to line up with the World Cup will be playing within distance of the park so it’ll be on the worlds stage. Butttt knotts will be in the spotlight for the Olympics in 2028 along with MM after the merger.

At 3:30 im going to take a blind guess and say that what you caught on camera was an employee making a top hat gesture with their hands
This had better be the extreme launch coaster of some sorts. Need something faster than Backlot Stunt or ThunderVolt
It will be faster than those for sure :)
Can you explain what a top hat is?
A top hat is an element where you go up to a high point in a sharp quick way and crest the top and go back down
Vertical hairpin turn.
Upside down U
Do the footings line up with any new coasters? or you think it would be custom for the park?
