Try again bro or redo the pos guitar. My greatest accomplishment was I took a pos guitar and transformed into a steel guitar and sold for 6 times more than what my dad gave for it at Montgomery wards in 1968.
Hellyeah! Can't wait! Im really gettin more and more interested in crafting guitars. I have a project of my own that i wouls want to finish. Thanks you to show us how!
My favorite part was the camera shot where we saw your safety gear. So many people forget what they are breathing and never cover their eyes. Awesome build!!!!!
this is so relaxing that i’d fall asleep on and off during the sanding portions. don’t mean that as an insult either. such soft and gentle technique making the whole sculpt look and feel like butter with such beautiful natural design from the wood all under the time lapse just sets your mind down the best most relaxing thing you could watch. not even to mention the guitar in the background complimenting the whole thing. really hope i can make something like this one day.
Wow... - you have golden hands... ...and more tools and machines than some (bigger) companies that I know (leastways in my area) - and some of it I´ve seen in fact the first time today! Unbelievable... At first, I wanted to watch only a few minutes... ...and then I couldn't stop more - simply too fascinating, watching "the birth" of a handmade custom-guitar. I wish I would have a comparable talent...
Stunning craftsmanship, I have started making gascan and cigar box guitars in the hopes of eventually selling them, your videos are very inspirational, thank you.
Thanks for sharing...seeing all the labor of love and quality tools going into building a quality instrument, I have no problem spending 1000 or more on a good guitar.
Might I recommend a trapezoidal neck profile for your next build? I filed one of my necks into a straight endurneck-type profile which is completely flat on each plane and it instantly became my favorite neck. You can't really find them out in the wild so your only option is to kinda build or shape your own, and you have the tools and knowledge to do so...just a thought. I know it changed the way I interact with the neck on a tactile level for the better.
I watched this video in order to better describe what I wanted done to any of my many guitars when I had to have repairs, changes, or upgrades done so I wouldn't sound like a dunce to my luthier. I learned a lot about your process and some terminology from watching this video. Thanks.
Excellent video and process. I am inspired by your design and follow through making the guitar as close to perfect as you can. I stopped working to watch your build twice. Well worth the time. Thank you for sharing.
This is a brilliant idea for a video. If I were a custom shop I would make one like this, too. There are MANY builders who rely heavily on assembling parts. There is nothing wrong with that. However, if a luthier has the skill set to build from scratch, proving it on UA-cam for everyone to see makes a lot of sense. Well done👍
yay! I was among the first 500 subscribers of this new awesome guitar building channel! Awesome content, good editing, not much talking and no sponsors all over the place and in every camera angle. Fun to watch, GJ.
It's 13:00 minutes into the video, and the guitar is already looking damn gorgeous! I hope someday to be fortunate enough to build my own guitar. I've reached the point in guitar playing that happens to life-long guitarists; you know exactly what you want, and it's not available for purchase without assembly. Although I may never have the patience or tools in order to build a guitar starting with pieces of wood stock, (pun intended) , it's near the top of my bucket list to make my own custom, 7-string electric guitar, with EMG pickups, a killswitch, and 24 frets. (Even more than 24 frets if that's possible. It should be, but I haven't come across one. (Yet.)
Great job, Awesome guitar. I have made a few guitars and I can appreciate your craftsmanship. I like the tiger (curly) maple on the front of the guitar. I made a box guitar and used wormy (ambrosia) maple for the front and back with walnut on the sides. I used hickory for the neck.
Cranmer Guitars it sure looks like it! It also looks like it would help beginners. Imagine what a beginner guitarist would sound like without the dorito finnish 😂
I was trying to think of a really smart comment but I can’t so. This is an amazing looking guitar. Almost a piece of art. Will that do ? Fantastic video. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I did want to build my own guitar and after watched this I just get 2 jobs for month or two and go buy one, can't effort all the tools needed for the job. GREAT looking guitar.
Seriously,What on earth is there to dislike? Terrific guitar.Looks beautiful. And! handmade. I honestly think that people troll UA-cam and purposely put dislikes on people’s vids.As far as I’m concerned there can be no other reason.Idiots.
That was one intensive labor of love to observe. I'm not sure if you actually make and sell, however, you might consider it. If only three a year are made it would drive collectors crazy and you could name your price.
Being an armchair QB and critiquing this would be easy and also stupid. Incredible skill and use of hand tools outstanding. Someday I will try this but not at your level. Incredible.
Simply Beautiful,, it has a Paul Reed Smith kinda vibe, I tried to build my own guitar but instead of a PRS it was a POS.
Yea mine was a bender not a fender
Try again bro or redo the pos guitar. My greatest accomplishment was I took a pos guitar and transformed into a steel guitar and sold for 6 times more than what my dad gave for it at Montgomery wards in 1968.
Take heart Brother, just try again using the lessons you learnt from the first one, good luck.
I made a Bigsob not a Gibson
Perfect nice🎸😍
That takes a whole hell of a lot of knowing WTF you're doing. Great job man
Basic understanding of electronics and soldering
Luthier
Understanding of measurements and mechanics.
It's easier if you start doing it!
@@danielsgrunge how many have you built?
@@AbhiBass96 I bet this video bored the hell out of you
@@waskele.wabbit717 Currently building my 5th
For the people wanting to hear how it sounds, I'll upload something one of these days...
Beautiful guitar man 👌
This looks awesome man
I cant wait 🤤
Hellyeah! Can't wait! Im really gettin more and more interested in crafting guitars. I have a project of my own that i wouls want to finish. Thanks you to show us how!
Looks like an awesome build much better than alot we see in the uk luthier scene
Man, shaping the neck by hand. You have mastered your art.
I'm about to take on a first time build and this was immensely helpful. Beautiful guitar!
Did you ever get into making it? If so, how did it go?
My girlfriend found me staring at the screen of my PC, heard the music and asked me "are you watching porn..?!?"
Me: "no... but actually yes..."
hehehhee !!!!
HAHA! I'm pretty sure I get what you're saying. This is some hardcore DIY guitar porn. Arousing for all genders. :-P
Byrd what the hell is up with you
lmao ^^
@@michaeldownie9995 Some people suck at humor/sarcasm.
The amount of patience and attention to detail is astounding.

The pacing of this video is impeccable- just the right amount of footage sped up appropriately , mixed with spellbinding craftsmanship
Thank you for the wonderful comment; however, it did not help my ego in the slightest!
Man! That's a great piece of art! Finish is so beautiful! Imo it looks so good with this fingerboard!
I nearly cried when the screwdriver slipped 😮...superb craftsmanship!... I wish I could work as fast as you.🤗
Wow it is a great one, I love the pod and switch design on the body, looks smooth.

The Idea with the guiding pin to drill the string holes from the backside is brilliant. noted for my Strat built, if I'm ever going to finish it...
I can't even chop firewood let alone build a guitar. Absolutely adore your talent. Keep pushing for higher & never allow yourself to give up.
Nice shape! I like it when people come up with something just that bit different

This is a real artist. Bravo, 100% craftsmanship and knowledge
I love the scoop you put above the volute. I’m stealing that
I must add, you have to LOVE what you are doing! Great workmanship and pride in what you do. thx for posting
That's some beautiful piece of art you made there. Ty for sharing it with us.

18:48 why is that cable for? And why is it under the bridge? Is it the mass?
one of the most satisfying videos I've ever seen on UA-cam, holy hell!
Wow, you're a very talented luthier! Loved the reinforcement bars in the neck!
Using an alignment peg on the drill press to locate your string ferrules is a sneaky little trick. I like it.
Gorgeous.
Really Beautiful.
Also illustrates what careful hand work can accomplish.
Enjoyed watching that a lot.
One of the better videos on UA-cam. Looks great, nice job!
Great job! Very similar to the Soviet electric guitar "Aelita"
Sangat bagus cara membikin body, neck & guitarnya sangat mudah dipahami cara mmbuatnya.
I do not understand these people who do not enjoy this beautiful work!
Thanks to this kind of art, the earth is a better place to live in, great job man.
What a beautiful expression of your love and devotion went into this build 🎸🥰

Tremendously nice work! love the choice of color too. Well done!!
Beautiful guitar🎸
You can tell this isnt just some wallpeice by how much time you put into the fretwork. Friggen incredible m8!!!

nice work - great body shape - would love to hear this
I never thought of using Doritos Salsa as a finish, but I like outside the box thinking! :D
Haha! It's for the tone 😉
This comment needs more likes!

It's got the nacho finish. Don't touch my guitar cause it's notchyos.
Insane skills and master craftsmanship!
18:57 - I don't fully understand what happened here. Did the paint job get damaged?
looks like he did, the next scene is him sanding and staining all over again. that must have hurt.
Man, you are talented guitar builder.
What is that tool called - 4:00 ?
Just bloody brilliant Dude. Lovely guitar. 🎸
Love this, would just point out that when drilling on a drill press, clamps are a good idea...
what a beautiful job my friend congratulations, happy 2022 🎸🎚️🎛️🎙️🎤🎵🎼🇧🇷🎅🎄☃️
your guitar looks like the love child of a PRS and a Teisco "tulip" guitar. great build
New stock tulip teisco! Jajajajaja
Nice Design, Nice color and perfect guitar . I like it
Great job. Love the color. Nice to see that you shielded the cavity, too.

Beautiful work. I appreciate the hand building. It’s just more special.
I ve almost cried when you hit the top with the screwdriver, and you decided to do all the finish pocess from the beginning...!!!

The guitar is incredible it's a thing of beauty only have one criticism the first finish you had on front was nicer than the one you have now
Well done. Looks great!
Damn, such a professional luthier. Terrific job, beautiful guitar.
That was one intensive labor of love to observe. I'm not sure if you actually make and sell, however, you might consider it. If only three a year are made it would drive collectors crazy and you could name your price.
