That's 40mm versus 53mm drivers. Honestly though, never go by what the pro players are using on stage. Stage products are always going to products they're getting paid to advertise and isn't always going to be the best.
I have had Hyperx Cloud 2 whireless the HP version for a week and ended up returning them. The white noise is so noticeable right after you turn them on and the worst part is the connectivity. If you have their software Ngenuity on, you will get random disconnects of the headset which is just the worst for any gaming. There is 2 years old reddit thread about this with a lot of people complaining, and they still didnt fix it. I have old HyperX cloud flight and wanted a new Hyperx but after this I will look elsewhere, maybe on Razer.
Can you connect these headphones to Xbox (series x) wirelessly? Many headsets advertise Xbox compatibility BUT it only connects when you use the 3.5mm wire.
@@theskyisblue6810 no, there is an official one(s) that do, I had it (the HyperX one)... but it wasn't bluetooth as well so I returned it. I'm always keeping an eye out for a budget minded headset that can play both my xbox and phone audio simultaneously so I can run a raid or something and listen to my podcast at the same time :/. There's $300 headsets that do but I mean, basically ALL PC and Playstation headsets do this on their devices it's just sad that MS has to be so closed garden when it comes to audio interfaces.
Not really a fair comparison IMO, as right now the Barracuda is 89 CAD on amazon and the hyperx cloud 2 is 140 CAD for the wireless designs. So for more than 150% the cost... yeah, it should be better. And that is comparing links I am looking for. Looking at your affiliate links it is ridiculous the price difference. $88 vs $209. These headphones at that price difference should not be compared.
Aw man that sucks. I have the Cloud 2 since 9 years i believe. They are great and did great but they got so uncomfortable in the last months... The cushioning is gone and i start to play longer sessions again. The Razer got recommended to me and i tried them on for a few seconds. They must sit on your head so nice and tidy. Have you tried 7.1 on the razer tho?
yea, i dont use the software included with all the headsets i am testing, as i really think it makes the experience worse.. the only thing i think is ok is Blue Vo!ce from Logitech, but ye.
Barracuda X is more comfortable for long periods for me. The cloud 2' clamp on my huge head. Sound quality is pretty par on both. Cloud 2, slightly better isolation. but u can get leather pads for the barracuda x
@DanglishReviews i have been wondering that alot of people shit on the "new" hyperx cloud 2 because hp bought the company and "upgraded" the hyperx cloud 2. anyways does the sound make a difference in csgo?

Barracuda x 2021 version is an excellent head set. Light, comfortable, volume level not ridiculously limited. Don't get sponsored, buy them, give uninfluenced reviews. You dont need sponsors unless you what to be a bul shitter

Mine might not be the hp version- how do you know?

Pro players use in-ear and iems under those HyperX you see in tournaments. What you see is only for advertisement.
btw why they use IEMs under headphones

I noticed hyper x is definitely better for games like pubg and warzone or any game where you really need to know where the footsteps exactly are
What about Cloud 3? Have you tested those?
Nope they were like $250 at the time and i was testing $100 headsets :)
which one is best for gaming + music
He sort of answers it in the video, for casual all around use the razer
Barracuda for 89 euros or cloud 2 for 58 euros?
cloud to for 58 sounds like a steal, if you like the pads

i dont know , i dont own a xbox :)
No you cannot, 3.5 mm is the only option.
Xbox does not support wireless at all. You have to plug it into your controller

there is no 7.1 on the Razer Barracuda X, at least to my knowledge.. I think thats on the Razer Barracuda Pro maybe.
