Thanks for the video, I'd like to get one of these this winter for a UTV also. Is it true that you have to press 2 buttons at the same time when going to a "V" or "Y" configuration?. What about going up and down, is it only all the way up and all the way down or will it stop in increments? Appreciate your response!
+D O Controllers are different for a Vee plow vs. a straight blade. Yes you use 2 buttons on the control for Vee, and it's a 1 finger operation, simple to use. The control runs the pump, and when you let off the button, that is where it stops. It also has a float mode so the blade can follow the contour of uneven terrain in the down position. I've used Western, Hiniker, and Boss. I prefer the BOSS for my own vehicles.
Marc Marion As long as you have traction it will push a mountain of snow. As for wear and tear, i have not had any issues with the plow or the Ranger. I do not drive hard, so i expect a long life out of both. Thanx for watching.
No hydraulic down pressure. This plow weighs 400lbs, so gravity keeps it tight to the pavement unless it is ice packed. I usually push up to, then lift, fwd a bit, drop and back drag. works well.
Perfect. I would not own any other plow. This BOSS is heavy enough to cut to the pavement even on packed snow, and the edge won't destroy sod or turf if you have it set properly. Zero issues with this plow. Hoses, fittings, electrical, all have performed flawless.
Great video, thanks for sharing. Looking at getting one for my Honda Pioneer.
Thank you for posting this!
Just ordered my quick hitch 2 for my Ranger 1000xp North Star
You're cat meowing scared the crap out of me. I thought I had a cat in my barn
Harbor freight dolly too will work, that plow not too heavy seems very rugged like for jeep or mini pick up
This plow was built specifically to be mounted on a Polaris SxS, but would probably fit a jeep with some mods to the mounting plates.
What are the chances you could take a picture of the inside of the plow. Plow side under the plastic near pump. I'd like to verify it with mine.

Thanks for the video, just curious how it does with the bigger storms and if you have seen any wear and tear issues with your ranger?

redroofretriever thanks man. I appreciate the input
do you have hydraulic down pressure for back dragging away from garage doors?
No hydraulic down pressure. This plow weighs 400lbs, so gravity keeps it tight to the pavement unless it is ice packed. I usually push up to, then lift, fwd a bit, drop and back drag. works well.
How has the plow held up over the years?

Let's see that truck.😁
This was on my Polaris Ranger, not on a truck.
I know what the blade goes on, I would like to see more of the pickup truck. The thing the blade doesn't go on!
@@tedmerrow5217 That truck was passed down through the family 3 generations. No longer owned by us.
Feed that cat
