I really love the comeback of gameplay content, you did great and you should do more! My bossfight diffuculty ranking is very different tho (my view is coming from my experience from when I did the foxhound rank on E-extreme more than a year ago): Without exploits: - the end, awesome boss fight, but if you know what you are doing it takes few minutes. Like you said, it would be better if he placed traps and his starting spot was random; - the fury, i see a lot of peaple saying that he is hard AF, and while i did die to him a lot i dont understand the difficulty behind his fight, you just need to land a few shots with the nagant and you are done with him; - Volgin, easy but really fun boss, i actually have a spare save just to fight him anytime i want (same with the boss), harder than the others but not hard itself; - the boss, same exact thing that i said about volgin, she is harder tho due to her whole cqc blocking that needs to be mastered in order to win, other than that she is kinda easy and i personally only fight her with cqc (not a flex), it just feels right (one of my favorite boss fights in the series); - Ocelot, i think you explained him flawlessly, my main issue with him is that i have a really bad aim due to my ps3 controller sucking ass; - the fear, now normally i would agree with Everything that you said about him... But due to my controller issue he is just an harder ocelot; - the pain, after seeing your gameplay i figured out that there were only 2 possible explanations on why you find him easy and I dont: either we are not playing the same mgs3 or im just fucking dumb cause this dude took me 20 TRIES, bro he just ate tranq darts and he basically had no head, the shot just didnt register on the head (thats probably just a skill issue on me tho, the whole controller thing might be the problem). With exploits and i dont think we need an explanation: - the fear (death pill trick); - the end (stun lock); - volgin (full auto nagant trick or patriot spam are just OP); - ocelot (stun lock); - the fury (no exploit); - the boss (no exploit); - the pain (no exploit). As for the 1vs1 fights, I agree with most of them, but i think ocelot is not able to beat the fear or the end (not sure about volgin tho). Nothing against our revolver boy but yeah i just dont think he can beat them (talking only about mgs3 ocelot) Awesome banger as always keep rocking man and have a good one :D.
epic take man, i appreciate how you broke it down and explained your personal tier and both examples of exploits and without them, everyone has differing approaches but usually the methods are aligned, and as for ocelot i can see your point of view, given on the legendary cobras abilities it crossed my mind to, but given on his "character" i figured he would relie on his intelligence and natural ability like big boss, 😂 and speaking of controller issues I'm having the same problem with mgs 4 on the emulator, i cant lightly walk giving away my position, time to invest me thinks lol. as for the pain its just trial and error not skill issues, i played much mgs3 a bunch of times (its my favourite game) so that probably helps, even if you cant nail the attack on him and have to move platform the tactics still work great, you can just free-throw the grenades (not first person) to get rid of his annoying flies, and just be sure to headshot him every time, it takes some getting used to , but once you learn of to snap the mark 22, it becomes so easy, ive missed a few times its even harder when he dances out the way, anyway thanks for tuning in brother, see you on the next one
That fear licking scene and splice had me dying!! Easiest way of killing him though is just using the death pill wait til he gets to you turns around use the revive pill then stun grenade and unload the machine gun on him while stunned and you’ll kill him by draining his mk22 meter
15:20- I am smart enough to not use the cardboard box because it’s a stupid idea to use against a guy with a flamethrower as you cannot counterattack and isn’t fireproof. Better to don black camouflage for better concealment and harder for the Fury to see Snake, have plenty of medical supplies handy and switch up clothing if covered in flames.
😂😂☝ dude the box stops the furys flames its the ultimate tool there's nothing "stupid about it" are you sure you even played mgs3? the box helps you move out of the way of his flames and if your on fire it rids the flames its common knowledge, yeah it might not be "effective" if he hits you when your in it, but it helps, if you want to battle him for longer, sure go for you method since your so smart 🤓
@@mycardboardbox I’ve played it enough times to know never use the cardboard box in any boss fights including the Fury’s, especially since it kept getting me killed when I did it the first time. Also I go based on real world tactics: never engage flamethrowers at close range as that’s how stupid people get killed, - which is exactly what happened to you MULTIPLE TIMES-, and I was able to take him down quickly from long range with the Mosin Nagant and wearing black camouflage outfit and zombie face paint. Never got dosed in flames even once because I fought smartly and not for the sake of “looking for a challenge”.
love that in a video game, where a guy shoots hornets out of his mouth, uses photosynthesis, shoots bullets out of his hand using electricity coursing thru his body, and don't forget the whole ass ghost who helps you at key moments, you gotta draw the line at using a box to put out the fire. I mean technically if you think about it snake catching fire and using the box to smother flames out from lack of oxygen is more realistic than all that. But sure changing clothes while on fire is the better option. Let's use real world tactics lmao. It's metal gear bro.
@@NakedSnake1836 wow good on you what do you want a medal?, dont come across like your something special, and call something "stupid" because it doesnt align with your views, all it does is make you look like an elitist snob, fact is i didnt do it your "way" because its too "EASY" dont cry at me because you cant do it my way. you can making a point without trying too hard. the idea of this video is to be a "challenge" 😂, i didnt use the mosin nagant from long range WAH WAHHH zombeh fwace pwaint
@@dynamight98 lmao exactly you got to work with "metal gear logic" so what do people expect? who tf changes their outfit in the middle of a battle just like who the tf would use a box to put out the flames rather than a fire extinguisher, at least make a point without sounding triggered "its a stupid idea" it just comes across dickish. everyone's got different method's, so what 🫤🤷
A fun and based video about a good ol’ gaming masterpiece. I got the platinum trophy for this game last year and I still play it every once in a while. (I hate the Pain. Even to this day, I still can’t beat him first time)
My favorite boss in this game is the end hes such a unique boss in general to every outher game I play the bosses or always the same kinda like dark souls how they do there's and shooters just have guys whith a lot of health but him it's hide and seek and there's multiple ways to find him and the sniper switch scope where it shows snake through his scope is amazing I know he's not for everyone but he was definitely for me
Love this channel and anything metal gear related first off. After playing this game since i was a kid and just running around spraying, getting alert every other area, and always using shirtless snake because why not he looks cool lmfao. To now over 20 years later where i can foxhound run it, i do agree with your list. Fury is insane on dmg in every difficulty and for some reason almost every single playthrough. Its like im a magent for flames but i do absolutley love the fight. Pain is never been a problem for me but i do see a lot of people struggle. Hes annoying but i cant remember last time i died to him lol. Although my headshot game is impecable but thats from years of cod camo grinds. Fear is ridiculously easy. I have never lost that fight. Even without thermal you can see him if you just look up and stay still the whole fight. Plus hes probably the one with most exploits and terrible ai lol. The end is still one of the best boss fights ive ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Yeah you can bullshit him but man is its such a vibe. Its one that i always try to just take my time with and enjoy. When it starts raining for a while and then the fog rolls in just oof *chef's kiss" perfection. Ocelot is ocelot. Dedicated pistol fight every time for me and second playthrough with the single action army makes it even better. But hes the first boss in game so pretty simple. Volgin is a toss up for me. Absolutely love the one on one it starts with and the chase scene. I typically get shit on during the last stage because eva ai likes to not work ever with me. But thats a skill issue on me. Still love how many times you think its over just for him to do the most and still keep coming. And finally the boss. Excellent fight. Embarrassed to say i didnt know about the cqc way of fighting her and the counter until my first foxhound run a few years back. Now its my fastest fight if i just run at her, but i treat it more like back and forth. Trying to get almost out of time so i can hear the theme kick in. But still. Top tier fight. Still play these games and probably wont ever stop. Just wanted to share my own thoughts for you pros out there that actually read long ass comments like this. Thank ya for your time. And thank you for the video bro. Excellent work as per usual. You're pretty good.
love it brother and cheers for going out of your way making this comment. and thanks for telling me your thoughts too!, its always super interesting to know what is peoples favourite boss, and who they find the hardest to fight in combat, i had to laugh because when i was younger i did the same, alerted all the time sneaking in the grass and taking my time in each section, not to mention wasting hours trolling the soldiers in the rikov uniform 😂, and if your foxhound running the game you nailed it man, and that takes some skills so congrats on that one!, mgs3 is a timeless classic no doubt lets hope the remake brings the same, see you on the next one buddy.
lmao this dude said "Playing on extreme shouldn't feel like playing on easy" while roflstomping The End, but then died several times on The Fury. That's funny to me because I've only managed to beat The End without the Konami code once on hard, but The Fury on extreme is easy to me. Diff'rnt folks
