I've lost count on the times I've checked to see if Jane was back on UA-cam. I am SO excited for these tutorials, And Jane? I'm loving you hair. Xx
Her hair and glasses gives a Harly Quin vibe. 😊
You have no idea how happy I am that you’re back on Tuesday’s! These last few years I haven’t even painted much since you haven’t been on YT. 😂
😅I LOVE your moody style MUCH more than what’s out there in bulk. I don’t think I’m the only one. Please don’t stop giving us you!
I paint exclusively w/ oil but i was attracted to this video so i clicked on it and I’m so glad I did. it was the most relaxing and beautiful tutorial I’ve seen. Your voice is so calming.
I love that liquides bright aqua - teal color Im almost tempted to use it. I’ve never heard of opaque or transparent paint maybe that’s why my misty paintings never turned out like i want. I’ll have to look for them. I am self taught artist for 5 yrs i so everything but painting is my favorite mode even tho it’s really been the hardest !
Thanks for sharing your art you’re a fabulous teacher 😊
I adore your style! Thank you for coming back!
So happy to see you back dear Jane!!!!!!
Happy to see you again !😊
Omg yay!!! THANKFUL to see your work and feel your enthusiasm. It is so relaxing to and fun to paint with you!
It's certainly a magical forest, Jane. I'd call it stunning, magical, mysterious, and so very beautiful. There's a mystique about the painting. I simply adore it. Thank You!
I like the "dark" stuff, like painting black & white myself with a little colour😊
She 's Back !!!!!! Love it
I really connect with your moodier style. It has layers & emotion.
One amazing thing that you do is introducing new colour paints to your audience ie parchment and pr 101 red oxide . Thank you for that
I know some people get frustrated because it's a color they don't have, but I just have to share them! Lol. Thank you 💛
I’m so glad you are back!! I missed watching your videos. You make me want to try to paint again.
Do it!!!! Painting is all for you. Just go make yourself happy by playing in the paint! 💛

So happy to see you back. Love your new look. Very pretty
I'm thrilled to see you're back and seem to be doing well 🥰 You've been greatly missed! I'm sorry to hear you struggle with imposter syndrome. It's surprising, though, because I admire your art so very much, and I can only pray I can reach your skill level someday - that'd be a dream come true. I appreciate when you show "mistakes" or things you don't like during your painting process - it's invaluable learning opportunity for newbies like myself. Please continue being you because you are loved and admired! 🩷
Thank you so much, Reba. Imposter syndrome is a weird thing. It seems that the moreni know and can do, the stronger it gets! 🤣🤷♀️😭
So gorgeous! I’m about to turn my bf into a painter with this one. ❤ thank you Jane!!!!!! ❤❤❤
Yaaayy… Excited for this.. missed you a lot Jane, it’s lovely to see you back! 🤗❤️

Thank you so much, Helen! That means a lot to me 💛
I just love this series of paintings. My little grandson died recently, and I haven’t really painted much that I liked. I’ve done two of these pieces so far, and I can feel my creative spark again. Thank you so much.
Oh, no, Theresa. My heart goes out to you, friend. I'm so glad you're finding some kind of relief in painting. Keep going
Thank you so much. I appreciate your kind words. ❤️
Ohh, it's been ages since I've watched some painting with Jane. I need to get out of my rut too. I still have the paintbrushes you sent me many years ago as a gift, just waiting for the right opportunity to put them to good use! Happy you're still making art.
Gorgeous painting and I love how thorough you are with instruction, and also that you show a frame on the finished work. Excellence in action here!
Bonsoir jane, magnifique peinture, j adore!😀👍❤❤🇫🇷

Gorgeous :) I´m finally getting ready to start painting again, so I´m SO SO happy that you are back, I wasnt sure how to start up again, but this feels like a good way, not too much pressure, just go with the flow and enjoying putting paint on a canvas/paper again :D

Lovely Jane ❤❤❤
Such a great tree! I still cannot do trees that I like
I know it's trite, but practice, practice, practice! Do these studies and do them over and over. I swear after 10 or so, you'll start to see improvement in lots of places!!

I believe a lot os us are so happy you are back. I hope your hiatus went well and you are well recharged. We all missed you.
Quick question. Is this tonalism style of painting?
I don't know if it's exactly tonalism, but I do try to bring quite a few tonal concepts into these little paintings. Thank you 💛
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤🕊❤️
I LOVE your work, I enjoy see your job
I'm not sure if I could find 3 colors that don't go together! I'm saving this video for later, and I'm plan on painting along.
I agree! I really think any colors at all could work! It's all about what you like and how you use them :)
Can floating medium be used in place of glazing medium or matte medium for this particular study? Additionally and in general can floating medium be used if I don't have transparent mixing white? I don't have these different mediums on hand atm. All I have is floating medium. Thank you.
No, floating medium is used to make craft paint flow smoothly. It's a very different medium and not meant to be used with this kind of paint. I also don't use transparent mixing white. That one is primarily used for lightening colors without making them very pastel. I highly recommend picking up a small bottle of matte medium and giving it a shot! It's SUCH helpful tool to add to your paint arsenal!!
I really enjoyed this. I gave two questions. Can we use gloss medium if we gave that and
I always have paint on my hands! Don’t do well with gloves. Will it cause health issues?
Yes, you can use gloss. To be on the safe side, I like to use Gloves in a Bottle. It's a shielding lotion.
Hi. The color on my monitor must be really off because the still shot for the finished product shows a blue forest but you used Teal. I'm so lost lol.. (transitioning from oils to acrylics and failing. M.I.S.E.R.A.B.L.Y.
I think I kept saying teal but it's more aqua. However, relative to the brown/orange, the color will look quite blue! Also, I highly doubt you're failing in any kind of a way. There's a learning curve to everything. My best advice for you moving to acrylic from oil is to not bother trying to blend. You'll struggle because you're so used to the blending time you get with oil. Instead, learn how to layer. That's the beautiful thing about acrylic that you just can do with oil unless you work on in for tiny amounts of time over weeks! Stick with me, kid. I'll show you all about layering so acrylic can be an easy transition for you 😊
