383s in the best case scenario arent very reliable. Most dont last 20,000 miles. If you got someone that knows the right block to use it may last a little longer.
Anyone thats ever owned a cj has pushed the clutch and had it go to the floor. whats worse your linkage is back on the trail somewhere when you twisted the frame enough to let it fall out. Not bad to put several loose zip ties so when it falls it still hangs there. Best to weld a permenant adjustment nut to clutch pedal end. Then at worst it only falls out of clutch fork but still threaded in at adjustment.
I had a 53 Willys that had the clutch drop to the floor except it had ripped the master cylinder off the firewall. That master cylinder was also the brake master cylinder. A telephone pole stopped it OK.
This show quickly tanked when Jessi left. Ian kept going for a few years making an ass of himself before they tossed him. Anyone know what happened to these Jeeps?
I just thought that since they are " professional " and teaching us or showing us things that they would want to do it correctly. We train often at the sheriff's Dept, and we use our ppe every time. It's there so we can go home safe every day. Just saying.! Lol.
I miss you Jessi. Crazy love and respect. The world was so much brighter with you in it. Rest in peace my friend. 👍👊😎
I forgot how great these two were to watch. Both so likeable and happy. RIP Jessi.
that was a AWESOME SERIES and jeeps..........Jessie we all miss you soooo much.....
It's good to see season one. I've missed most of these. I finally got to see the beginning of the builds.
I think that 383 is toast.. it soundsd and was smoking like a diesel.
For sure it didn't sound very good for a new engine

Well maybe not toast, but it sure doesn't have much left if not torn down.
@@xishootstuffx probably never did a hot lash valve adjustment. Gonna have to tidy up valve train after

same deal on my k10. good advice sir
That valve Tick he spoke of made me decide to buy a Cummins rather than a GM Duramax crate motor.
The only spotters Ive ever needed are the ones that stay out of the way and stay quiet. Yall both had sweet jeeps that run. Nice builds.
rip jessi
Definitely hurt that motor
Ya that was bad spotting 😂
@ 8:25 The curse that hits anything with a manual transmission from old Detroit Muscle Cars to Work Trucks and off road rigs. The eventual stall.
$200,000 Jeep in the motor blew up
Man I miss $2 a gallon gas it just hit 5
That 383 does not sound healthy.
Project AJ sounds like hammered shit. I don't think y'all got your money's worth.
Cheap Jeep performed on par with my expectations.
NOISEY ENGINE AND BRAND NEW !!! ITS EVEN MISFIRING !!!! DUDE THAT ENGINE IS FUCKING GARGAGE !!!
that alternator has a bent pulley CAZ ITS MADE IN CHINA !!!!!!
These shows are just a big advertising venture .
Rip jessi

Hard to believe Ian taught welding because a lot of his welding sucks. But the fact that he's Canadian explains why he is a douchebag.
Would have smacked rob LOL
That motor is roached
That spotter is annoying AF
Complete lack of safety, while welding and on the trail. Where is the p p e ? 👎
Car shows are notorious for their lack of ppe.
