      @Earl Rogers I went October 2018 to a public meet with Vince Gilligan at University of New Mexico. From his own lips, he publicly said New Mexico/Albuquerque was chosen because of the Tax Breaks and Filming Credits given by the state, and that California/LA was the original location written for the show. He went on to tell that instead of trying to make it look as if it were LA, by using California license plates and never filming the mountains of ABQ, they would instead just make everything actually New Mexico/Albuquerque. From the lips of the creator himself.

    • @ViewThis.
      @ViewThis. 6 років тому

      @Earl Rogers He truly got something better by using NM over California. At that same meeting the Mayor announced Netflix would be moving to ABQ, and they made that choice because of Breaking Bad's success in NM.

    4 years isn't much of a sentence. How he got out now that's a story.

    • @juanmccoy3066
      @juanmccoy3066 2 роки тому +1

      Uh what? He was locked up for like 17 years not 4... he was briefly released on parole but was sent back to finish his time.
      He did a lot more than 4 years. It's important to note his victim wasn't an innocent angel but another heroin dealing scum bag.
      I would however argue that murder is merely the one he got caught for. I'm a former and changed member of the LP gang and I can tell you for a fact this man had a cell phone in prison and was selling drugs from prison using prison guards to move product.
      He isn't the only person to watch. They are very fucked up and evil people.

    • @juanmccoy3066
      @juanmccoy3066 2 роки тому

      Their whole MO is to recruit young kids usually relatives and distant relatives of older members and get them hooked on heroin and meth at a young age to control them and get them involved in drug selling activity.
      When these young people like myself and my friends who all fell for the Padillas spell are sick and withdrawing from drugs they don't provide any kind of help. They let u suffer and encourage u to commit crimes to get "well" as they sit on pounds of heroin and boxes of suboxone strips.
      They let their homies OD despite having cases of narcan buried in their backyard. They pay young drug addicts to commit murders for them. They teach them to literally bark like dogs and refer to them as The Boyz, like ur a bunch of dogs.
      This creep orchestrated all of that. It's a damn shame there are still businesses and an entire neighborhood and community center named after this evil family.

    If the man did the time they gave him than good for him, if he is gonna tell his story and let's hope and pray he tells it and is 100% honest with it and does it in a way to try to reach these young kids and keep them from walking the same path that he walked years ago.. then I see nothing wrong with that.. I hope to God he reaches atleast 1 young person and changes their perception and helps them put down the guns and flags and try to better theirselves.. now if he can do that than I'm proud, but if he keeps messing up while hes out and makes it like all the other shows that make it seem cool to be a gangster and killer than he need not waste his time. Their are people that are really bout that life, but thru my journeys in my life it seems the older the O.G. gets the more they regret and will tell you they wished it was different but because the environment they grew up in and were always around the fear they got was confused with respect they thought they had.. I'd rather have respect as a honest man than to be feared and not trusted to be left alone in my grandma house.. but to each their own best of luck to both sides of the table and without judgement toward either life style at the end of the day.. we are all ONLY humans we're gonna mess up, let's just hope it's not so bad when we do that it cost us our lives

    Maybe I am looking at the glass half full here , but I believe from what the man said was that it would not glorify his crimes! The idea is to let people know that people can change. Imo the best way for that message to be conveyed would be through a character such as Padilla who has been convicted of some horrible crimes and is highlighting his change from the suffering for said crimes. Remember the man has paid his debt to society! Forgive as the Lord forgave you." Ephesians 4: 31-32 "Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Why is it wrong? People paid for their debt ~ nobody stays the same the decisions we make will always collect the ransom. Meaning the time spent behind walls you never get back, the many people you leave behind or the time people forget who you are. We grow and learn I hope they realize that toxic people are those who don’t let go and hold on to things from the past. Mike Tyson changed and many more. To forgive isn’t easy but don’t torture yourself. These people also lost loved ones and understand that you are not always going to think the same. Anyone should be able to grow from their past if they choose.

      Most of us in NewMexico are decended from Spaniard settlers, usually with a little Native blood mixed in. Most schools neglect to inform students about the full History of The U.S.A. They only focus from East to West, when there was so much more going on simultaneously.

      Jobu Jobu Dude. Spanish blood. Where is Spain? In Europe, with the rest of the caucasians. Spanish comes from Latin, which is what the white-assed Romans spoke. Some people just don’t wanna crack a history book. Not revisionist history, mind you.

    I wonder how many f you would think different if this were your son. After serving time 15 years he was granted parole.. Hmm I wonder if you would support his changed man stance? or want him back in prison. because he had not changed. >> of course we will have to see if PAdilla has indeed changed. Change is POssible for those who .. want it . and work toward it. stay true to it .. However with out support from society and programs it is difficult . especially If one is trying and society just want to keep them down. . jeje I also wonder how many of you . have dirty little secrets that until now . have gone unnoticed / punished.
