- This is a pretty big update. This new version of Screen Space Shaders includes the following new modules: HUD Raindrops, Wet Footsteps, Rain and Blood Decals, also updated binaries and some fixes.

It would be great to have an option for HUD Mask Raindrops, and maybe even HUD "blood-splatter"/"blood-drops" when shooting or melee attacking stalkers in close range?

No idea... But you can test Atmos. Hippobot is always up to day with SSS.

Fun fact. At 1440p max settings i get about 20-60fps with a 2080ti and i7-12700k lol.
But its very fun and im gonna try the update. Thanks for such a great mod.
Hmm... Maybe you're pushing some settings to much? I'm using a i7-10700 and my performance is much, much better, never below 60fps and my bottleneck is 100% my CPU, my GPU is never over 45% of utilization.
@@ascii1457 I have been tempted to play with it. But I do throughly enjoy the mod and definitely plan to get the update.
I've had a friend say "why does this look like an actual picture in real life" from some of the shots I've taken with that mod on.
@@ascii1457 update. I turned off anti aliasing and anisotropic filtering.
Now my lows are high 60s and over 100 in the highs.
No visual issues or noticeable differences.

Yes... Atmos is fully compatible with SSS.
I don't know if it has anything to do with shaders but is there anything you can do about the circular motion of trees because of wind?

Yes, Expedition already include SSS, but a older version, but if you update the the files it might work without issues (?)... GAMMA by default includes SSS, but some options are disabled, if you want to get the "full experience" you can try GAMMA + Atmospherics.

Hey! I have a problem... The puddles and the sounds of squelching (except for the jump) disappeared during the rain after reinstalling the gamma. There are 380 mods in mo2, downloaded sss 17.2 (puddles and sounds included) with modded exes + atmos latest version. I don’t know what’s the matter, the game is clean, just installed, no additional mods are needed. I want to note that the puddles still do not work even if I reinstall the game again and do not download sss 17.2, but use the standard 15 version. Shader cache also cleaned
In your tests, you pressed the play button after change the weather preset? ( Wetness is paused if you don't resume the game time )
@ascii1457 I already fixed this by downloading with the old gamma launcher. I don’t know how it helped, but the main thing is that puddles and sounds work
Is the reflection aliasing caused by 1080p being too low resolution or there needs to be TAA applied ?
lack of AA + resolution, and in fact the reflections are not filtered later

Hello, I downloaded a new version of this mod, and when i start walking i get "ssfx_rain_footsteps" error, if i turn it off and it's raining, then "ssfx_rain_hud_raindrops.script42" error pops up. in general, all the new rain functions cause me errors( I use gamma and enchanced shaders 1.2 with atmospherics 1.9.
You need the manually install the custom executables included with the addon. Check the ModDB description, the step 5 of the installation guide can help you with that.

for some reason mod doesnt work for me. I followed guide how to use mod organizer. Then I did exact steps on Modb instalation guide but the game launch as vanilla. Does anyome know what am I doing wrong?
Did you delete shader cache?
Wouldn't the blood decals conflict with Blood of the Zone?
No. You can use any decal texture addon you want.

when i install this update to gamma and replace exes guns do not any damage :/
A user reported an incompatibility of the new executables with the addon "10mm auto ecosystem", I'm not sure if this is your case, but you can check.
Hey there mate, im running into an error on startup. Ive manually added the AnomalyDX11and AVX to the bin folder like in step 5, and still crashes. Tried it with MO and still getting crash logs.

Looks like you're trying to install SSS 2 times in the same game. Also, looks like you're trying to use the ES patch without ES installed.
@@ascii1457 So now i can get into the debug map, but if i have shader param controls selected, it loads the map but the entire screen is black, but i can still see my hud. If i select shader_param simple, it goes white instead.
Looks awesome, great job as always, but for some reason npc's became imune to bullets, only explosives and knives work after this update. Btw, I added this to gamma, just like always, but this is the first time I had problems? Ideas anyone?
Not really sure about any possible cause for this... Any error in your game logs?
@@ascii1457 No error in the logs, did change the .exe files with mr.demonized new ones, it works now but some of the animations, wiping the rain droplets off the mask is the first one I noticed a few others too, are bugged. So its not your shadder mod, its the custom .exe files that cause the problems. Awesome job btw and thanks for quick reply!
@@markovitz21 Yeah... Maybe is related to a small conflict with the engine modifications.
@@ascii1457 I got it, it was the "MrB's 10mm Auto Ecosystem" weapons mod pack that interfered with the .exes in your shadder pack. I disabled that in gamma mo2, put your .exes back in binaries over the updated mr demonized ones from github, and everything is working properly now, no more immune to bullets npc's or broken animations. Awesome job good sir, your work puts tripleA artists and devs to shame, Stalker 2 better be half as good as Anomaly is thanks to you and the amazing stalker anomaly modding scene. And if I may, just a small idea, the 2d shadder based scopes, can't remember what game I played but it had this really cool fisheye lens effect on the edges of the scope outline, maybe wit a bit of chromatic aberration, perhaps you could do that in the future, if not, feel free to pass it along to who is responsible for that mod. Congrats on the awesome work again!
Thanks for the detailed report... I will inform the incompatibility problem to users with the same issue or similar, maybe we can figure out all this "immortality" bug.
how do I enable this on GAMMA?
The update 17 of SSS is already included with GAMMA, some features can be disabled, but you can always check Atmospherics to enable all the features included with SSS.

Amazing work but unfortunately every enemy and npc became immune to bullets, this only happens when replacing the exe with the new one from update 17

Idea: vodka/liquid shader for fdda. Something like half-life: Alyx one. Maybe less detailed shader for item/in-world one, if it has different model. Idk would be really cool.
labels and etc would be something like overlay on top of shader. Idk i know nothing about shaders.

Any crash is related to an incorrect installation. Be sure of manually install the custom executables ( Check the step 5 of the installation guide on ModDB ) and only install the required patches for your installation.

Looks like you're missing a configuration file. Are you using MO2 or doing the installation manually?

GAMMA already included the addon officially, I don't think you need to install the addon by yourself.
