Glad you didn't fall completely in the water. Next time bring a walking stick. It could save your life. We use old broom handles. Tether it to you with a short length of rope. They float out of the way while fishing and are in arms reach when you want to walk around. Stay safe guys!
Thank you for the tips!
I suppose you voted for Joe Biden and have a pellet grill at home
Me and my friend caught an amazing 18 and 21 inch Walleye on the Rock River in Roscoe, IL on Wednesday March 1st. Walleye fishing will be great this Friday March 10th because the weather pressure will drop after the snow storm that's coming on Thursday and that's the best time to catch Walleye.
Glad to hear you are out getting em! Should be a lot more great fishing coming our way here shortly! I’m only about 10 minutes from Roscoe haven’t fished that stretch of the river much!
Love the ROCk river has produce some great fish for me many limited out days!
All 17.99 inch lol. Good stuff man.
Awesome job! Was that near Mayville?
No, I’m on the boarder of Wisconsin and illinois
Where I can park to go in the river? Public parking? Or side of the street?
There are many public parking areas along the rock, just depends on what area you are looking to fish!
Are you guys in wisconsin or the rock river in illinois, just curious.Im in illinois,my sons use to go up to rock river yamaha shop in wisconsin to pick up their yamaha dirtbikes, super nice folks up their and made the 6 hr drive worth the trip on their prices and parts deals.cool vid.
I’m right on the boarder of illinois and Wisconsin. This was in illinois on the rock river
@@HookedOnTugs im down in southern ill,we go up to Lake Shelbyville when we want to try fishing for Walleyes.there are a few in the Carlyle lake spillway, but are tough to catch.the saugers seem more prevalent at Carlyle lake spillway,i did manage a 4 and 7 pounder years ago but last year i only caught 1 walleye there and srveral of those Saugers.
In the video you said you wish you could catch a 15 or 16 inch walleye so you can keep one. I don’t know you or your channel not sure if that was a joke just saying just in case you didn’t know 18 inches is the minimum and maximum of three per day.
I live in Beloit and regulations on this stretch of river are 5 over 15” …. Last I knew Indian ford and north is 3 over 18
Not the case where there fishing / below dam in Illinois
How'd you guys do this year?
Was working a lot didn’t have much time to fish unfortunately
Where is this?
Southern Wisconsin / northern illinois. I’m right on the boarder
Great video! New sub here!
Buy a boat
I have a boat
The stretch of the Rock River I fish in Wisconsin is ALL far too deep to even consider wading it. Which state is this in??
I usually fish the rock river in southern WI, Northern illinois area since I live on the boarder. Not sure how far north you are in WI.
Very nice! Man how is that this stretch of the river produces much bigger ones than the dam area?
But I have seen some toads come out from below the dam!! I agree though, they are far and few between when comparing the two areas.
Opening shot is one pretty fish. Perfect fins and beautifully colored.
Thank you! She was a beauty
ready to get out there!
Great John guys!
Nice, thanks for the content! Any info on your set up ?
I’m running a 7’ 6” medium light fast action St Croix rod and tried plastics, Blade bait but jig n minnow was key that day!
