When he laughed I didn’t think he was being hypocritical I thought he was thinking to himself how ridiculous it is
Me too, and Asmon comparing this to a cigarette ad specifically made to target children is maybe his dumbest take ever
@@ScottyDoesntKnow69 there’s a degree of separation with the account making. Porn being shown is different than a non explicit ad for a porn website that doesn’t directly lead to porn. And he even called it out anyway. Not hypocritical at all
@@andrewevans930 and being apathetic to the situation is no better for those people that say it has nothing to do with me so i dont care. Thats what the slippery slope turns into a run away mountain and cant be reversed
@@NeoSmoke yeah, those were a thing when I was a kid. That’s bad and actually advertising smoking to children. That said, just putting a cigarette ad on something like the streamer awards is not the same as exactly explicitly targeting children. Asmon seems to think this Fansly as is the exact same as candy cigarettes, and I don’t agree at all
Its the same thing just called "soft core porn" moist is just moving the goal post.
asmongold and charlie ignored one big thing. in the award show, they told the viewers that there are behind the scenes videos in the fansly site. they encouraged everyone to go to that site
And adin ross SHOWED THE PORN, no pay wall, no link, just boom pussy. People really in denial about common logic and reason.
Hypocritical or not, their followers will support them. It is what it is. The person who made that zoomer video tried to farm content from shit, similar to what Ludwig, Asmon and others drama andies does.
I think the core issue is whether minors where directly exposed to graphic sexual content even if they encouraged ppl to go there (which is functionally the same as the ad it self) a kid watching would still have to go out of their way to go to the site sing up and then choose to ignore the fact that it's a adult site
Btw, the only way to cancel someone for good is to deplataform them.
I mean if people really have an issue with it then blame twitch for supporting 18+ content. Why blame the streamers when they're just doing an ad roll that's been approved by twitch for a sponsorship.
For me the problem isn't an issue of "think of the kids". It's more that this stuff is being pushed on EVERY site there is. Especially Twitch. On UA-cam it's a bunch of bots. On Twitch this shit is being promoted. Every site nowadays has practically soft-core porn, at the least. It's mainly the 13 - 21 crowd I'm more worried about. Because the porn is different now. It's not just porn. These ads and bots and creators prey on lonely people, especially men, or rather boys in this case, with false relationships. They are marketing parasocial sexual relationships. That will fuck up a developing brain beyond belief. Seeking out and watching porn is one thing. But being lonely and having these fake sexual and even romantic relationships being thrown at you from every site nowadays is fucked.
The next problem is these porn creators want to have it both ways. They want to say that they are providing a service and yet want to be seen as only an individual and not a business at the same time. Imagine selling bread but instead of just doing the job and keeping emotions out of it, you sell the bread by begging and crying about how you never had food growing up. It's pathetic. These streamers and other creators will flirt and tease with their largely underaged audience as an advertisement for their adult content. It's disgusting. Because they know children are jerking off to them, but they don't care because it's just the money. And instead of doing it honestly by just making adult content and advertising it as is, they will prey on people who already have a parasocial relationship with them.
A counter argument to this is that it's just advertising for a product, like with anything else. This is a braindead take. Sexuality, or lack thereof for some, plays a HUGE role in our brain chemistry and emotional state. This stuff isn't as innocent as advertising a chair. You are dealing with a different beast entirely. You CANNOT treat adult content as a generic product, because it's way more than that. This is especially true for those in the true targeted demographic of adult content. I say true because none of these people will say they sell porn to kids. But they know it, and we know it. It's unspoken but it's true and anyone who is naive or delusional enough to believe they aren't selling their stuff to a kid is far too innocent, ironically.
I believe you need to be 13+ to use Twitch. So why is anything like this allowed? And even promoted? You can talk about the Superbowl all you want, but once you VERIFY an age, any age, you make content appropriate for the minimum age. The exception to this is clearly explicit content, which must verify 18. But Twitch might as well be the search engine for OnlyFans at this point. So yes, technically they don't need to verify 18+, since there is no nudity, but holy fuck it might as well be. This is NOT the same as a Superbowl advertisement because they don't verify the age, they go based on the target demographic, which is generally older men and women into sports. In that sense Twitch would be better off if it had no age verification, because they could claim ignorance. Now, they KNOW 13 year olds watch this stuff, and they are going so far as promoting it.
TLDR: Don't let them prey on your emotions, and fuck Twitch.
Holy sh*^ that an hold essay

The hypocrisy comes from claiming hottub streamers arent a porn gateway when Amo makes tens of millions a year. If Twitch wasnt a gateway to porn in that case I dont know what is.
i dont understand people who buy subscription crates/boxes either. or OF subbers. Remember the dude who donated his rent to that twitch girl? totally casual about being homeless next month? can you be so down bad that you no longer care about anything?
@@HDGaminTutorials I understand people who watch it, just not the people who pay for it.

@@jordanf8797 i mean porn is very destructive to many parts of modern life due to its ease of access and ability to break down relationships. Because it's a woman in a bikini. If you think that's a gateway to porn then bro you got major issues and shouldn't be on the internet
What I don't seem to get is; Didn't Twitch, themselves sponsor QT's event? And they were OKAY being paired up with Fansly? After directly streamers cannot directly advert their own pages? What am I missing
you are missing the point that twitch viewers are more willing to forgive a company for hypocrisy rather than streamers, and streamers themselves wont try to confront their sponsors about their hypocrisy either.
I think most people know they cant change this wack company’s policies on their own, similar to how when twitch allowed gambling, people were very pessimistic that it would ever get changed. But the creators are more human & open to change (and less likely to handle being called out for hypocrisy), which could lead to some form of actual change later on, similar to how Poki and Hasan did that whole thing against twitch gambling and then some action was finally taken for the whole website.
Because they don't make money but if they get a cut of the pie they're ok with it

Issue I find, you have people saying that gambling streams are a gateway to real gambling (true) but also you have this other gateway targeting minors on stream but yet Twitch knows it's their cash cow and allow it. At least Kick knows what it is lol
Its more like advertising gambling (which we have) and seeing a person actual gamble for stream. Two different things. A 15-20 second gambling ad will not do the same as your popular streamer streaming it, especially if they do it for a long time.
@@Fauxmadd I just mean it's clear that they banned gambling because they didn't feel like it financially hurt them and they tip toe around things like onlyfans girls streaming to kids just because they don't believe they can take the hit.
So while I can agree gambling is worse, I can at least appreciate it when a site is honest about what it's serving. This makes it easier for parents to know which sites they can block as well, most parents probably think their kid only watches minecraft or something on Twitch tbh.
So while I agree with you I just think Twitch should just open up an only fans competitor lol

Charlie wasn't being a hypocrite though. He doesn't approve of it, and he laughed because it was absurd. The advertisement was advertising a pornography site, which is still wrong, but it is not at all like showing apps for hardcore porn to children live on stream.
What pisses me off is they are using the cop out excuse "well twitch already does it" implying they have no morals themselves when they go along with things like this. Just because there isn't tits in your face immediately doesn't mean it's not immoral advertising NSFW pornstar streamers to an audience that I have to assume is predominantly children/teens. Streamers are starting to go all hollywood on us and they dont even realize it. Fame and fortune really is the root of all evil.
Edit: "its immoral" changed to "it's not immoral"
I agree, and Charlie's example also sucked. Just because there's strip club billboards doesn't mean it's a good thing, or excusable. Those are also a bad thing
He literally said it was a bad thing on video, so null point.
But why isn't QT allowed to be held to the same standard as adin? Regardless of whether his situation was worse, doesn't mean the awards shouldn't be held account either. It's just clear bias on Charlie's part

The difference between a kid seeing a porn ad and a cigarettes ad is that the kid would be likely to have an easier time finding porn to watch than to find a cigarette to smoke.
Asmongold says they are the same. I am saying they are not the same. Where do I say it's ok?
@@Zerroth please dont feed the trolls. Your original post was good :)
Nah, if a kid would want to find a cigarette - it is pretty easy, either through older friends (or older friends of their friends) or even take it from their parents (while they are not watching, of course). Not to mention, the call to action is the same in both cases, so it doesn't even matter how hard it is to actually do it.
Finding a cig isn’t that hard lmao. If the kid’s parent smoke then they could get it or they could find one on the ground.
@@Zerroth THATS WHAT CHARLIE HAS BEEN SAYING THIS WHOLE TIME. both is bad, but they are not the same
The fanlsy ad was arguably worse than adin showing porn to his audience. He atleast had 18+ turned on, which in reality does nothing but indicates that his content was intended for adults. QT's stream had no 18+ and was therefore intended for all ages, including kids.
@@radicalindividual7774 Well yeah one could probably argue that advertising porn right after advertising Mario games that are rated to be suitable from 3 year olds is a bit messed up.
@@sgnox7781 why is this so confusing to people. 1 is an advertisement which requires the willingness of the viewer to go to the other site to watch the porn. the other is full blown porn on an audience that came to see their favorite content creator. The +18 check could be for anything like cursing or using slurs and insults. Nobody gets into a life stream to get blasted with pornhub video.
In simple terms. Little Timmy has to watch an add and get curious enough to check fansly while in the other he gets a good look at a couple doing the 69 while trying to catch his favorite streamer. When i was Timmys age to i got a little curious but that's on me to do on my own terms.

Let me make a simple comparison here using asmongold.
In 1 live stream he pulls his dick out to his audience.
in the other he advertises his onlyfans where hi pulls his dick out.

1 deserves a ban while the other deserves a scolding.

@@randomuser8150 technically the fansly ad was (probably) still porn. They just only showed the parts of it where they were still clothed.
Why do streamers always have to be "friends" with each other? What's wrong with just being on the same platform and having little to no feelings for each other?
Because it benefits them, because if someone is friends with Hasan although he is a nasty person, they now have access to his fanbase which might migrate into their streams
They all work for the same company thats linked to Disney. They're colleagues and not independent.
@@AlexMoffet Weirdo behaviour. Calling a completely unrelated person nasty
Because of Networking. It's easier to promote your content and have visibility if you have some level of relationship with other fellow career colleagues, especially on a algorithm-based platform.
Twitch bans you for being mean to other streamers lol theyd literally get fired if they didn't pretend to be friends all the time
My issue with it comes in two parts.
One is the recent meltdowns about sexualization of female streamers being so heavily pushed, followed by those same streamers promoting porn sites.
And the second is that playing porn vs promoting a pay site isn't fair, because the people who are watching twitch are going to consider paying for fansly more because a streamer pushed it rather than watching free orange youtube
If someone is the type of blithering retard that uses and PAYS FOR porn on x website because Y streamer said so there no protecting you from any kind of info hazard
The issue is not that people are paying for a porn site push by streamers, everyone is free to do wherever they want with their money. The issue is that twitch is watch by a large amount of under age people and showing or promoting explicit content to them is not ok.
@Dillion harper Marketing is more effective than showing someone using a substance. Hence why cigarettes can't be marketed. Apply that to this situation, and everyone sounds like idiots. Truth is, these people are rich because we find them entertaining not because they are bastions of intelligence.
@@plzdontgasme233 what you don’t understand the real issue either. Rich people advertising a product is fine, just because they have money doesn’t mean they don’t want more. The problem is that they are advertising adult content in a platform that has a high amount of underage people, if they want to promete a product that they support is fine, but not something that can expose minors to explicit content.
So they are both bad but Adin gets Hate and QT does not?

Yeah the Adin one was really bad but atleast it has an 18+ filter and contained to his own community who already expects him to do something that stupid. While QT has multiple streamer communities watching that are suddenly exposed to Fansly lol, imagine what viewer age demographic streamers like Sykkuno consists of.
HUH? you dumb. There no boobies on screen. You dumb!!!! -average take on this situation.
Anyone that pretends this wasn't streamers trying to show children their nudes are DELISIONAL.
I don't think you realize how much of Adin's audience are children - 18+ filter or not, just because words on a screen say you have to be 18 when you can just put in something else doesn't place the adin Ross situation in the safe zone, hell no, that was actual porn man, and the whole"18+ filter" is superficial as fuck. Like there's an 18+ filter on fansly, Whether creating an account or just selecting accept, it's splitting hairs, given the ease of access regardless. So the idea that the filter is enough to strengthen the assumption that children are generally deterred from something, is bullshit. Two way street man. Not saying it was a good idea to advertise fansly, but showing your friends, for example, a picture of a fully clothed pornstar and telling them to "go check her out" is very different than not saying a word and pulling out a clip of that same actor getting railed. Like the 2 situations should not be competing, and it's honestly some of the most useless shit I've ever seen. There are other coherent ways to make a point.
Don't they need to do the effort to look at the ad and go to the website and maybe pay a Fee to be able to see it?

Charlie saying that there is content on Twitch like this isn't clearing him or QT of any wrong doing, it just implicates Twitch in the wrong doing. All he did was expand the list of suspects.
A bot stole your comment.
11:02 Idk what wrongdoing you mean on Charlie's end, he explicitly says fansly shouldn't be advertised to underage audiences, time stamp above. Also, most of what he addressed was the fallacies present in most arguments against him, like the whole Aiden Ross shit, which is a very different kind of situation entirely. Like charlie doesn't disagree about the fansly shit, but at the same time, if people are too timid to call out the advertised pornography that has been present in the real world for years, and only attack a medium out of convenience, then people don't care as much as they say.

Elden Ring won an award too. Are you going to cry and ask to ban From Software from making games?
Children could have seen the footage on Twitch, and that game is rated M for mature.
Issue here is that the bathtub streamers ARE being intentionally sexual. It is 100% an ad for their sexual content, which is why they go to every length imaginable to show off thier bodies. This isn't an issue if its on a porn site because it's expected, but on twitch you can have a porn streamer being recommended to kids, and even if they arent being recommended some of these people are huge and collab with other "non-porn" streamers exposing them to way more ppl. Think amouranth going on xQc's stream for hours, and then all the kids who look her up and get sucked into the parasocial camgirl porn hole. It's disgusting, and disingenuous to suggest it's an innocent coincidence
Not just that, Fansly has legitimate free porn on their website all it takes is a couple scrolls. Moistcritikal is just running damage control and looking clueless
@ΛZΛMI Simply put, because a majority of men don't get these interactions in there day to day life so they look else where for a similar experience.
@@Milky____ the parent argument is ridiculous, most parents don’t have the time to helicopter over their kids internet usage. Between a phone and pc, their kids are gonna see shit their parents simply won’t know about. Most people agree with this, so porn is pretty segregated from the general internet space. If you look it up on your own that’s one thing but being actively recommended and encouraged to seek out porn from a streamer is very different
You baboon, they’re both bad. The argument is about which is worse, showing a suggestive ad to a porn site or just straight up showing porn. I can’t for the life of me think that showing porn is the same as giving the option to not be exposed to it unwillingly by having you commit to searching the advertised website after the stream.

Most of the big Twitch streamers are deeply connected either by business or social ties like that. There's a very large "in-group" and unless someone does something truly heinous or illegal then they'll close ranks and defend their own. It's sad.
Guess thats why its important to not care about the morality or personal lives of these streamers and view them for what they are. Entertainment. Nothing more nothing less. When he don't just flat out insult people instead of beating their points. And most of his "arguments" are literally prompts from someone on his headphones.
Usually Asmongold is pretty succinct with his thoughts on things but this one he seemed very unsure of or jump to a conclusion way before actually understanding the context. I don't disagree with him but his arguments here definitely didn't carry much weight either.
Yes you right i feel like he already jump into conclusion before the video starts. I usually like to listen to him alot but this one idk man
yap, sounds like he jumped to defend his penguin friend
That's to be expected considering that Zack is talking about people he's friendly with, and doesn't have any particular reason or motivation to burn bridges. Realistically, this category of gaming & esports content creators all need eachother for amplification. They aren't going to turn on one of their own unless it's REALLY bad, like the Atrioc situation.
That's also why a guy like Scott Shafer can come along and express a stronger opinion; his success (like Coffeezilla, KiraTV, Phileon, SomeOrdinaryGamer, etc.) doesn't hinge on whether or not he's getting on the bad side of creators & influencers by exposing their nasty underbelly. And that's kind of what's happening here.... QT and co. took ad money from a porn site, which is not something that should be normalized for content targeted in no small proportion towards minors. And they're getting called out on it by people from outside their community. Tough nuggets.
He always defend his hypocritical friends. I never seeing someone being able to defend Hasan with his horrible takes, but Asmon is able to do it.
The whole point Charlie used contradicts US Laws so it is a bad look for anyone trying to claim advertising is not worse than consumption.
I think the difference is that Fansly is age gated with a paywall to see the content, what Adin did was show straight up porn. Also my daughter has gotten adds for alcohol and horror films when those are strictly for 18+ and 21+.
By Charlie's logic, advertising brazzers with clothed videos on stream is also fine, which im sure everyone would agree its not ok.
Honestly, the funneling people directly from twitch to fansly, including using their twitch login... yeah that doesn't seem safe, secure, or all that wise. There's too many ways I can see that going really badly litigation wise years from now. Similar to youtube kids app sending shit they shouldn't have and the drama that came from that. Pretty easy to see how twitch could fall into that trap, doubly so if its set up to funnel people there.
Easy argument to this is cigarettes. They used to be advertised everywhere. Now no motorsports or sports team will have a cigarette company labeled on them. Look at marlboro and ferrarri. They took the name out of the logo, to keep the sponsorship. The argument was proven to enough people, that advertising cigarettes period was telling kids to smoke. Agree with that or not, that was the precedence set. So advertising porn on something kids watch is the same thing. You don't see cigarette adds during the streamer awards do you?
Its like telling a kid how and where to buy crack vs giving them the crack yourself. Both are bad but one is worse

I think Charlie's reaction was laughing at how strange it is, but Hasan who was literally using the argument that Adin can facelegal charges then support a stream who does the same thing is hypothetical, he literally read an article say "advertising porn to minor will result in legal charges" or something like that, and especially qt who said OKAY to run the add.
It is like comparing someone flashing you their dick with someone telling you where you can go see a dick.
You can say both are bad on principle, but in practice it is much different.
Adin's unprompted porn stream is not at all the same with a legal advertisement that, while risque, doesn't really show anything.
I never heard of fansly. With how it was presented I would assume it is a supplemental/ alternative twitch service lol.
If a grown man’s only audience is entirely composed of children, I think THAT is weird.
i don't think weird quantifies... whats the step up from weird
Who are you talking about?
Huh? Its always a mix of both. Adins audience ranges from 13-25 most likely.
well that alone isn't weird, because a grown man teaching a kindergarten class obviously has an audience composed entirely of children and it's not weird.
@@paimonisfood4986 Moist. Asmon has a huge audience of men in their 20s and 30s, but I’m not sure I can say the same for Moist. I don’t have any stats to back that up, and am only judging based on the comments, but it’s not hard to get a good idea of the age range.
The laugh was fine. His response is hypocritical.
How can someone get blamed for an Ad on someone else's video?
Asmon's comparison to putting Fansly ads in Toys-R-Us would be like the "adult video" section in and movie store. Kids see the sign. Know what it means. And you could say its advertising it.
@@sgnox7781 so you're saying kids lying and getting access to porn is not like kids sneaking into a section where porn is to have access to it? The dont have to steal it to see it its on all of the covers. I was just pointing out the barrier to access is pretty low in both regards. But advertising it is not so unethical when there still is a barrier to access.

I see this as a pretty shitty move to be honest, idgaf about the streamers here - this is not all far from what Stake does to go after young people and get them gambling. Porn is definitely addictive
the aiden ross case is much worse yes, but having an ad to a porn site on a show where most of the audience are kids is just plain criminal. OF would be more defendable (barely) as there is not JUST adult content, but that's a porn site and if a kid goes to that site or clicks on an ad for it, it will only take him to a porn site. same way on your sat TV you would never get ads for adult channels across the whole day in order to protect minors.
That ad promotion was so cringe, it's a twitch event man
I remember this interview with a fan of an NHL club. The way they set up the interview showed him in a completely crazy light. That his whole life was devoted to his favorite club. A crazy obsession, but the reality was quite different and the fan I remember spoke out against it and even made his own video to show how they had edited the video to make him look crazy, I don't listen to the news the same way since then.
Yeah the it’s pretty fucked up the way media makes people look crazy just to get views, clicks, etc. I actually worked with this dude that was on My Strange Addiction, he was the guy that picks up roadkill, and he does it because his dog got ran over and killed so he just feels sympathy towards the animals that are road killed; anyways, he said said he felt the show made him look like a crazy weirdo and he regrets going on the show. They also only gave him like $200 lol
This is such an online issue no really gives a shit about an advertisement about fansly people just make these videos for views. We all understand showing porn on stream is weird and shouldn't happen but the fansly ad is no worse than things we have all seen on tv for years.
Lets be honest here... if it was anyone else's award show and it played a porn (fansly) ad right after a kids (mario kart) ad. Moist would have 100% made a video calling it out.
We called it y'all! Twitch the new cam site!!! Aww fuck.
Just chatting has always been that. Just that they also have kids watching
This happened like 10 years ago though
The US Laws have marketing cigarettes as worse than someone showing a cigarette (illegal to do marketing). At this point twitch directly Advertised porn to kids while Adin just showed porn. Marketing creates long-term incentives for porn advertisers like QT to keep showing them to kids. QT's strategy is a long-term funnel for kids to watch porn while she generates profit from "porn addiction".
That’s an bad analogy imo. It’s more akin to showing a cigarette ad vs giving all your fans cigarettes and lighting it for them. Adin wasn’t just showing a cigarette to his audience, he was actively giving it to them. I don’t think anyone would agree that giving children cigarettes is a good thing.
Today I learned that some folks even in the comments don't realize that people can laugh in uncomfortable situations. At the same time they expect people to have the foresight to see random situation of theirs is going to cause controversy from out of nowhere, and for the dumbest of reasons. Nobody in the stream talked about the ad and asked for his statement on it as it was going. This literally wasn't brought up again until mukitty made her video. He isn't going to pause the stream to tell people his take if he wants to move on. What people take away from a laugh is ridiculous.
yeah its a bit disingenuous to call it that, i mean downplaying people comprehension in sake for argument.
also about the nobody didnt bring it up that time, but its only natural that people gather their thoughts and the situations before jumping into conclusion, like many people did and some even paid the price for not doing so.
It's not that he laughed, that is dumb, it's that he is ignoring the problem, if he say is bad why he didn't say anything about QT , but talk about Adin?
Yes, but with this response he just confirmed what some people thought
To be fair his reaction was like nervous laugh in a way "what the actual hell, how is it here?". But it is only fair to point our how Moist gave half of his esports to Ludwig, so there is that, he can't critisize it, since he is in a bubble of influencers. The call out wasn't to call out Moist but to point out how people can't express thier opinion since they are all friends, but can themselves call out others for the same behaivour who they are not friends with. It wasn't "Moist is a bad guy" but an illustration of the point.
A very small % of people actually respond to advertising, whereas 100% of the people watching you will see the porn if you directly go to the website.
@@gg_ingy
I'm sure there are effects of advertising, my point is not that there would be no effects at all but rather that very few would see the ad, and then decide to start watching porn because of the ad.
Let's analyze the example you gave a little. In your example, someone is already going to the supermarket to buy laundry detergent of their own volition, the equivalent would be if a kid was already looking for porn and was choosing which site to go to. Sure, maybe the ad would make a higher percentage of people who were already going to look at porn choose to go to Fansly, but the percentage of people who see a Fansly ad and then because of it decide to go look for porn is likely very small, considering the statistics I've seen on other advertisements in the past.
@@gg_ingy My initial post was about the Fansly ad vs showing porn on stream.
I disagree about the ad normalizing porn more than showing porn on stream. I think it normalizes porn to a kid more if a streamer they like shows porn on their stream as if it's not a huge problem to do so. The ad not showing anything explicit implies that something about that is unacceptable to the kid, aka not normalizing, or at least not as much as showing explicit material on stream as if that's reasonable.
I agree about the abuse of parasocial relationships, it's an awful thing, especially to developing minds. I don't exactly like Fansly, I just think that actually showing porn on stream is worse than accepting money to show a non-explicit ad for a porn site.
16:18 It's not about whether it's ok or not. It's about Twitch's responsibility to look good for their shareholders and for ad companies. As soon as one or both of those groups has a problem with linktree it would be gone as well.
Safe to say; if it's even a question of: " is it that bad for kids" you probably shouldn't do it LOL
Ad encouraging to pay for porn is worse than showing porn imo.
facts
No, it isn't, its just not
Advertising Fansly is like holding up a pron magazine without opening it. Charlie calling saying it's "bad" is a cop out. He never laid QT out for doing it. A streamer awards event with essentially a pron sponsor is what she was called out for. It was not like it was her personal stream. It was bigger than that. QT was just thinking of the sponsorship where hundreds of thousands could watch giving that exposure to everyone.
How many who watched the streamer awards knew there was going to be a fansly ad?
"Soft Pron" is a thing.
Twitch allows hot tub streams because the money rolls in. They did not allow it at first. Money changed that. Remind me on the rules on men being shirtless again?
streamers are mortally flexible about anything esp when its thar mates doing things . and hiding behind aiden ross being a pos is weak sauce ,
Now I do wonder what Moist thinks about zapping trough channels at night as a child and suddenly being exposed to porn
He probably thinks their parents should be parents and not depend on the internet to raise their kids.
These ppl are all getting trolled by mukitty and not realizing it.
exposed asmongold's blizzard level damage control
its like the phrase: give fish to a man he will eat once, teach him to fish he will eat forever. ross showed porn once but directing kids to a porn site will help them get porn forever
Are you stupid? He showed them the site to see free porn. Literally pulling up p*rnhub lmfao
And the fansly ads doesn't have the same consequences ?
But you can literally find it anywhere on the internet anyway. It's not like the ad unveiled some heavily guarded secret.
@@Ignas_ then why not show porn ads everywhere and on kids tv channels?
@@gercuy Did you really just ask that?
All I said is, showing an ad that may lead to some kids seeing porn is a lesser problem than outright showing it, because kids will discover it themselves anyway at some point.
Your argument is basically that showing someone a picture of a shady alleyway is worse letting them snort some cocaine.
All of the online personalities known for being practical and reasonable will eventually become hypocritical. It's the "influencer" curse. They mentally outgrow their own space and try to have greater influence in another space. When your favorite personality moves to a mansion, founds their own commercial company, or even suddenly starts traveling all over the country/world for public events, social or commercial, they're not "retable" anymore. And they become biased towards their own interests. It's realistically just human nature at work.
Wtf is ‘retable’ and “they become biased towards their own interests” you think they weren’t before??

charlie out of his mind, a stream that's already requiring you to be an adult even showing porn is not as bad as an all ages event showing a porn ad. this argument is dumb
I would have had more respect had he just admitted he was hypocritical because she's his friend instead of doubling down and making it worse. I would argue the wierd ad is worst because unlike Adin Ross there was no 18+ disclaimer. Unfortunately Streamers including Asmongold cannot really be 100% honest with this situation because its not in their better interest to what with collaborative opportunities
Blaming Charlie for the fact that someone else advertised it seems kind of dumb, he never said he agreed with it infact he did the opposite. Sometimes people just want to blame someone it feels like
I don't know man cause ads on television like the super bowl can really cross the line for minors
Fansly, onlyfans, twitch, tinder... just burn it all to the ground.
You just don’t advertise porn websites on twitch where a vast majority of the audience are minors. There shouldn’t be any excuses.
I love how you just assume the vast majority are minors without any proof or numbers
@@sh0ker I’m not sure it matters the percentage of minors, I think it’s the fact that they CAN be minors. Like using a 13 yearold twitch account to link to Fansly seems a complete negative to me. It wouldn’t be that difficult to vet the accounts.

Big L take, defending public marketing of porn on a million dollar scale on a public website with no age verification, to one dude streaming porn to his consenting audience, is the most disingenuous bullshit comparison. There is a massive difference between seeing a PG-13 advertisement for a porn site and going to a pornhub while streaming to minors. One is arguably morally questionable. The other could be a felony.
No, nobody is saying advertising cigarettes to kids is okay, they're saying showing a child an advertisement for cigarettes is different than giving children cigarettes.
adan ross having a 18 plus indicator before joining stream made it direct. it wasnt out of the blue.

I believe the same rationale he applies to child porn and that Netflix cuties or however it’s actually titled should be the same.
Advertising sexual content to children is wrong and should be condemned just like showing It to them on stream in the same way cuties is wrong and should be condemned just like straight child porn is wrong and should be condemned.
Just because one is to a more severe degree does not mean being morally congruent wouldn’t consist of mutual condemnation.

Cigarettes are a weird example because they can’t advertise cigarettes but they’re allowed to be smoked in media.
E cigs(juul) were(still…) advertised directly to kids
Here's the real difference. If I'm sitting right behind my fictiional child and they are on twitch. They can go to fansly and click logon with twitch and get straight in while I'm watching to make sure they don't go through any 18+ age gates. I don't see it until there are bouncing body parts on the screen apparently. With Adins stream I would never have allowed my child to go into it because that's for adults. IF you're monitoring your kids at all that's easy stuff. Fansly gets around this age gating, there isn't any. Its basically an extension of twitch using its login process.
That was the dumbest thing I've ever read.
You're saying that you wouldnt let them watch Adin Ross because he's for adults, but not Fansly because you couldn't know that's for adults?
How did you know to not allow Adin Ross, but you didn't know not to allow Fansly? You're saying that you somehow have the ability to block them from seeing Adin (one streamer on Kick), but you lack that same ability for an entire website?
How does that make any sense at all?
I feel like Charlie is saying things within the realm of reason like it’s not like anything we haven’t heard of before I just don’t understand why some people fail to realize that
Because stupid people just can't be happy unless they're trying to infect others with their stupidity.
how is it in the realm of reason? he skips over the real points while he attacks strawmen, he doesn't even attack good strawmen... when has anybody complained that charlie didn't say anything over what the girls were or wearn't wearning. what the girls in the ad are wearing doesn't matter, what matters that they had a PORNSITE ad within kid's ads and they even got a direct link which should be TOS.
furthrmore, unlike with adin where you had to confirm you are 18+ to enter, there is no such confirmation to watch qt's stream and nor on the actual site which i'm ptretty sure isn't legal.
finally, overall lets say we give it to charlie that what adin did is just worse, fine, still why did he not make a video about the whole fansly situation and how it gets crammed in every events, watched by kids and there is no age restriction/confirmation.
ok it's "not as bad" but at least make a video about it, nope never, why? "becuase it's not that bad" and now we know he didn't laugh in the clip of the absurdity of the ad, he truly didn't think of it as a big deal. both are bad to him yet the latter isn't THAT bad, enough to see it as funny.

The problem with fansly is that you can literally access the website without ever saying that youre over 18 if you login through certain accounts and those accounts dont even have to be accounts where you said you were over 18.

Ludwig's excuse maybe works for his events or advertising Fansly on his channel, but he and QT are trying to create a giant event for everyone on Twitch with the streamer awards. Saying "If you're a kid, you probably shouldn't watch my channel" its not enough. That's not Geoff Keighley's stance during the game awards, that is not whoever manages the Oscars or the Grammy's mindset. If they want the "Streamer Awards" to be somewhat respected for what it is, advertising gambling, alcohol, or porn should be the furthest thing from your mind.
Honestly just another thing to lop onto the pile of why Twitch is seen as completely degenerate.
