So Joel is still the thing? Since he collaborated with that release company with the click thum button and changed his narrative about how to shoot ... he lost me... no hitting his cap with an arrow while he is shooting!?
I just had a clinic over the weekend. He still teaches the hand expansion with thumbs set to no travel. He wants you to expand your hand if the button doesn't move because he wants you to be able to evaluate the preload you put on the button during your shot execution. Set it stiff so you can wrap around it without fearing it going off. I'm shooting the clicker myself, so I wanted to get information on how he recommends it set up because I was struggling with a consistent release activation based on the videos that came out around its release, and sometimes blowing through the click if I was off on my thumb reference point. I will also say, probably 1/3rd of the class was trad bows, so it was fascinating to learn how the guys shot them, including a pair of "instinctive" shooters and learning about the aiming tennis balls they use. Joel had his barebow there, so he was tinkering with arrows at the shop before and after the clinics all weekend. I think he shot a 290 the second day with it.
