Wow, looks good, is there a certain way you move the brush to lay the streaks to achieve a realistic muddy effect or do you just dab all over at random until it looks dirty and grimy?
Hey Rick Awesome videos -- appreciate you sharing with everyone. On this muddy theme don't forget the underside of the truck it would have mud caked on it - especially if sort of thick on wheels, hood and sides. Great job my Friend keep it up
Bruh!!! You forgot to muddy up the undercarriage and wheel wells! The body and wheels look absolutely amazing, like that rascal been mudding with the pedal mashed down to the floorboard all day long .... But the wheel wells & undercarriage look like he just rolled off the showroom floor! That would be the muddiest part of the truck!
This is great, I hadn't thought of using two brown tones. I wonder if you could mask off the area the windshield wipers clean, maybe with a few arced streaks. FYI, shaking the paint bottle to mix it (and using the cap like you do) guarantees the bottle will cure closed, and eventually you'll need pliers to open it. Instead of shaking it, use some old axle material or something to stir it. Instead of using the cap, pour a few drops on to whatever you have to work with. Of course there's nothing wrong with doing it your way, but I find it's worth the effort to keep my jars clean.
Ninjalectual I no longer se this type of paint for this effect as it drys glossy and looks less realistic than the matte acrylic that I use now, plus the kind I use now I can get more paint for less money, but you're right about the suggestion on techniques, I figured it out the hard way lol
