Merchant is acctualy so funny if you're in multiplayer with a friend and have butterfingers. It makes me feel like I'm buying toys for someone "You want the piercing sword?" "You want it?"
After watching the video and explanations, some of this list I disagree with. To start, Frozen Fighter should be higher than brawler, easily. Frozen fighter heals the exact same amount as brawler over the course of the game, and will only have a little less strength than brawler (assuming you don’t run into any ice resistance items). When you get another ice resistance item though, Frozen Fighter becomes a menace, as a single blueberry pie will bump his strength above brawler. The addition of slowing droids down (albeit infrequent) is another plus. Brawler might be a starter class, but that doesn’t mean much to which is better. Next, Wanderer has always been undervalued, and his placement is a good case of that. Honestly, losing every consumable and utility after every other shop is hurtful, but his upsides can make up for it. Wanderer puts use to the weapons he no longer needs, which can be powerful against droids you don’t or can’t deal with, or just deleting spawners. If the weapon you gain from the passive isn’t “good”, you can always use it with the second ability. Wanderer can keep 2 items from being deleted, which on most cases is more than enough to beat the game. Even then, in between the worlds where you don’t have your items deleted, you can have more than 2 items with you. Wanderer deserves at least a little bump on the list, because sitting next to Dj in D tier feels a bit too much. Airborne is next, and this time he’s a bit overrated. Airborne’s first ability is just Dj’s orange disk buff, which isn’t even that good to begin with, and losing your jump power for using it (when you have enough) contradicts the point of gaining jump power. Other than that, solid class, but should be in high C tier or lower in B tier. Lastly, Necromancer should ATLEAST be above Beta, because Necromancer’s purpose is obvious, whilst Beta is kinda just all over the place. There’s more that I disagree with on this list, but none of it is that important or is me just being biased, anyhow, the classes that I mentioned are only the problems worth mentioning.

Ironically enough, merchant is fucking busted when it comes to altars because berries has almost the same value as sins (24-30 charges back) yes, humanitys obsessions manifested into powerful artifacts has almost the same values as fucking berries.

The 20% cost reduction lets you buy items that sometimes you can barely afford. Saving you circuits over time. Selling useless items you don’t want (the passive) also gives a decent amount of circuits over time. And being able to trade in an item you haven’t used before is pretty good. Especially when you get higher charged items that you don’t want to use. It can be traded for expensive items. I end up having a good amount of circuits and being able to buy everything on room 90 because of it.
I actually main stray and let me say its mostly for no hitters only, If you suck at no hitting then your done for as you only get heart container 5 times for a entire game (unless u warp) if your too lazy to get certain crown classes then stray is a decent choice
I am still perplexed at the fact that both brawler and survivor, the classes you start out with, are better than over half (52.941% to be specific) of the classes that you have to grind for days or even weeks to get. EVEN WORSE to consider that the first class people can buy, that being the ninja, is better than 88%+ of the classes. Simply dubious.
Would you prefer the game not be beginner friendly? Classes are meant to encourage different play styles and run variety, not be just better. As the cost increases they're meant to be more complex, not more overpowered (if this is achieved it's questionable, with characters like gardener. But most of the time it's true)

I don’t want to see each strategy to become more overpowered as you progress, but rather equally effective as other classes. Take artist for example; it was ass all the way up until 1.8, where it got a complete overhaul and still maintained the same rerolling items strategy. TLDR: Crown classes need a buff asap.
@@Mr_comical0you can find an effective strategy to nearly every class you play with. survivor can be used to play as as a surviving (duh) playstyle, knight can be played as a defensive playstyle, or berserker as an aggressive playstyle the point of classes was never "which one is better" but rather to change the gameplay and how youre approaching the enemies and how you should think to win the run. even the worst class can be good if you use it well.
Idk if yall know this,but when i started a brand new run and got a vault with a globe,i used it immediately and instead of seeing the wrath sword i saw the lobby and the lobbys name was "the brink"idk if yall know though
As a beta main, i do have to say it’s pretty meh in its current state, but don’t sleep on beta strike!! It’s a really good ab2 that helps me save time on a ton of rooms with rapid fires, not to mention you start with beta badge which is just beta strike but as an item. Also icy defender can be one of the best supports when paired with a blood-mage or really any offensive class due to it being able to freeze enemies and give out forcefields.
i loved wanderer, i think i mained it at one point, i liked it when it was every world loss which was worse than currect version but i just liked it back then when it was every world. its swill decent fun but i dont use it often. i am a person who doesnt like holding too many items.
although witch gets more berries than alchemist, witch's passive makes her the least fun class in the game. she can't buy gems, utilities, tomes, spells, or consumables this passive makes her entirely reliant on labs to buy anything other than weapons. lab weighted runs only have a 1/3 chance of showing up, and even then, not every shop will be a lab also the "200% more cauldrons" is useless, most of the cauldrons i had went unused (the excess cauldrons don't provide any benefit)
@@video_gamer1 the excess cauldrons mean that if you get one lab you can use every berry you get from it, or switch your berries with madness potions, you don't need a lab weighted run as witch, just one lab is already enough
@@w4wz as i said, witch is in F tier because i find her incredibly boring. also you said "one lab is enough" but as i said earlier, you are entirely reliant on labs to spend money. if you don't get that one lab super late into the game, you're still going to have a ton of excess money that you can't spend on anything other than weapons.

Its funny and awesome yet painful to see one of top favorite classes be in S (alchemist) and F (beta) Funny that you put alchemist in S which is awesome and because in the wiki ppl say its outclassed by witch until it got it's passive nerf. Painful to see beta in F but i totally get why tho due to your gameplay as beta and could say the same when I use its first ability and the second ability is useful but could definitely need a lower on cooldown At least we share the same thoughts on necromancer

Cold conjurer is S tier. You can get incredible walk speed and jump power with it. I got 58 walkspeed without darkness or stalling.
