I would put merchant at top c or bottom b tier. They say you can buy slightly more items and that’s a bit of an understatement. The 20% cost reduction lets you buy items that sometimes you can barely afford. Saving you circuits over time. Selling useless items you don’t want (the passive) also gives a decent amount of circuits over time. And being able to trade in an item you haven’t used before is pretty good. Especially when you get higher charged items that you don’t want to use. It can be traded for expensive items. I end up having a good amount of circuits and being able to buy everything on room 90 because of it.

What makes the Raider so good? I always thought the Alchemist's more permanent stat buffs were better than the Raider's skill 2, which only lasts 10 seconds. Then again, I haven't bought either, so I'm not sure about the experience in practice...
