Oh my gosh the megatron! I’ve always wanted to go down but never got the opportunity! I love urban exploring….we quite often end up doing skatesploring….urban x on skates…which is exactly the same but it’s just a bit more complicated navigating the terrain but also we try skate unskateable things in imaginative ways!…kelham area and attercliffe are good areas for exploring

Kirst - you're not gonna like this, but the Lake District is almost impossible to buy land because it's a *National Park* Also, in summer it is a freaking tourist nightmare of blocked roads caused by cars stuck behind camper-vans for miles long! Parking _anywhere_ is costly. You can get fined for not paying your parking ticket because rangers are always on the prowl. Years ago the Lake District was never like this. It's essential you keep your van in case of the unexpected - losing your house through insufficient income. I'm sorry to say that, but life ain't what we'd ever prefer it to be.
Look for land elsewhere; ensure clear road access. Or buy an old tip of a farmhouse in need of TLC. Be prepared to budget *at least* 70% higher than your budget. It took my (since late) husband and I a good 10 years+ to renovate ours, but damp treatment was needed. Sorry for this downer: *Best laid plans rarely work* Take my (almost 60 years) of hard graft advice thru experience. Happy New Year! Be safe, be strong and healthy! Wendi 🌻
