Yeah! I was thinking about this a couple of days ago. Jerry is one of the few who can still bring something new without losing his roots. Everyone else is experimenting with new sounds, like Pearl Jam. I mean, there’s nothing wrong with trying new things, but man… listening to an album like this feels like going back to the '90s, that magical era. I have no words to describe it. Thank you, Jerry Cantrell.
@@felipestenzel7076 I think the sound has still evolved, but to me, it doesn’t sound overproduced or like he is trying to change his sound to stay relevant, which is what I meant by the musical integrity. I also think Pearl Jam have maintained this as well. They have been experimental over the years with their sound but, to me, they still maintaining it on their terms and not changing it up to stay relevant. from a musician standpoint I understand and respect artists/bands wanting to change or evolve their sound for whatever reason, even to stay relevant (it is a job after all and a tough one to have a career in) but sometimes from the fan perspective it doesn’t always land. But these guys and others still carry the torch strong!
Have been blessed to have seen JC 2 times, with AIC and Solo in '23. I met him briefly after the show in Ventura CA .. thanked him for over 30 years of the best music 🎶 ever.. he handed me 2 guitar pics, winked 😉 and said your welcome. All class A1. The world is a better place
I love Jerry! Don't get me wrong, I loved LS , if had not died JC probably would not have come to the forefront as a strong lead singer and put out some beautiful melodic tunes and made some hellacious rock riffs. I think God has his reasons for taking those as to let others behind them to do somethimg just as beautiful but slightly different. I believe everthing is for a reason.
Without him there wouldn't have been the appeal that A.I.C. had not mention he held the band together for longer than it would have been,Lane would have been gone much earlier if not for Jerry , definitely a guitar god of grunge and along with very few others defined "gunge" bogey Depot was awesome ,truth is I haven't heard anything from him I didn't care for ,and then for him to bring the band back the way he did with black gives way to blue shows there's no substitute for him.
Love this album, all the way from North Queensland, Australia Loved Alice in chains back in the day. Absolute legend Jerry kept that AIC sound alive for years to date. 🤘🤘💪💪
My mother just passed on 10/10, this song will always be in my heart as a memory of her. Your music always brings me comfort in life and in difficult times. Thank you Jerry!
Love this song! Definitely on par with the best of his other songs. Jerry’s song writing and skill has aged like a fine wine. Only better with age brother
I remember clearly coming up to shake your hand and telling you that you are one of my favourite and most influential guitarists after the gig you did with AiC in Brisbane Australia back in the 90s. Suicidal Tendencies was supporting that night and it was an amazing gig. Loving the new stuff from you weather it's the solo stuff or with AiC, it's all great, particularly in this age when bands are very absent from the top 20 music charts.
Jerry, you are a beautiful angelic creation. I wish I could hold your face in my hands. Your face is like a dream I once had and it makes me feel calm. Thank you.
Can we all agree that Jerry's solo work is criminally underrated?
No, we can't - from what I've heard, his work is very generic & lacklustre.
.........MUCH LIKE YOUR OWN.
@@rizkid74 Oh, how delicious - a butthurt Jerry Fanboy!!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
First two albums are raw af
Hell no. It is very well rated and recognised, believe me.
One of the last of the master riffologists. Rock on, brother.
Riffologists... nice....🎸👍....Jake E. Lee & Nuno also.....
Another Legend that still makes great music while maintaining musical integrity!

Thank you so much Jerry, the world is a better place because of your poetry!
I was 7 when i first heard "Man in the Box"...I'm now 40. When you find this perspective, you think, "How is this even possible?"
Melodic, mellow, classic Cantrell…. 🇦🇺😎

One of the premier, modern day composers, we appreciate you still feeding our musical tastes.
MEMO TO ALL PRESENT DAY ARTISTS: Take notes from Mr. Cantrell.
Completely agreed. His music just takes you to another place in time, I think...

Jerry lowkey looks like the mona lisa in this
Kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

All I can see is 'Mona' on his guitar like Fulton used to be 😂😂😂

Beautiful song, from a grizzled old rocker.
It's always been YOU all along.

We are waiting for you in Argentina, Jerry.

Thank you Jerry! Will be looking for the new album. Saw Rick Beato interview. Thank you brother ❤ Yes, you are an architect and very much admired.
Incrível como a qualidade das composições dele não diminuem com o passar desses anos , desde o primeiro álbum solo dele é só material de primeira 👏🏻👏🏻
His new album sounds like his best solo work yet.
I'm so glad Jerry is still making classics! Love it
Absolute Legend. Love the new stuff.
Hello amigos, like if you miss the 90s!

I love you, Jerry!
One of my favorite guitarist 🎸 ❤️ I can hear Alice in Chains in Jerry Cantrell's solo music it's like magic.
All you have to add is Sean Kinney's drums and you have an Alice song. Sean also contributes vocals in AIC. Those two are the ❤ of the band.
Long live Jerry!! He maintains the essence❤❤
Thank you Jerry. You write great f-ing songs.
Thankyou Jerry you have given us so much with your music, an absolute Goat 🤘❤️
The myth, the man, the legend!! ❤ thank you for all your hard work, Jerry! Let's start a dad band soon, k? 😂
I always felt Gerry was one of a kind. This proves he is amazing. 😊❤
Eternal glow, only the different frequencies makes it higher or lower. Amazing song. Love
all the way jerry✊🏿
All my hero's are musicians!
You are one of the greatest guitarists Jerry.
Best Jerry's song solo career ever. Second place to me "A Job to Do" (John Wick 2)
This new album is so bad ass so far. Can't wait to get it.
Fantastic.

Afterglow repeat repeat beautiful❤
Jerry, you are a beautiful angelic creation. I wish I could hold your face in my hands. Your face is like a dream I once had and it makes me feel calm. Thank you.

Very cool song Jerry ! You are remarkable in your songwriting and singing. 🎶
Wow Jerry. This song really hits next level live and in concert. What a hit!
Killer tune.
Jerry is still kicking ass after all these years. I'm glad I was around to see them all grow.
God bless you Jerry 🇺🇸❤️🙏
Almost sounds more like Alice in Chains on his own than Alice in Chains does these days.
He is alice in chains my friend
Jerry writes the music that plays in my life movie.
Love it! I can get lost in this song for a few minutes, and it's great!
Jerry is unbelievably talented. He deserves so many more listeners
Hell yes.
Jerry’s riffs and harmonies are so unique and hit the heart
Six more days. Thank you Gerry for creating this amazing work of art!!
There is so little for me to look forward to in the music world.
Thank you Jerry for keeping this music alive! You are fking legend!
Que temazo! Y ese solo de guitarra...
Sonzeira! Fiquei ouvindo e imaginando a voz de Layne fazendo dueto com o Jerry
See you in Portland!
