3.4 Confocal microscopy

In this video we will introduce the concept of "optical sectioning capability" by approaching one of the most used microscopy techniques in biology: confocal microscopy. We will show how this type of imaging technique permits to obtain the 3D structure of our samples rejecting the out-of-focus light, and producing images at high resolution and low background.
